The resort is very clean and well maintained, staff are awesome and friendly (shout out to amazing housekeeper Cathy Lee). Food was great with lots of variety, a la carte restaurants also good, teppanyaki show is amazing. Night life is more of a relaxed atmosphere, not a rowdy party resort, beaches are well maintained and the variety of activities made our experience there all that much better. Would highly recommend

If you want a resort that feels like home, with staff that treats you like family, this is the place. We went June 19-26 and were there for our 10-year anniversary. This was our 6 visit to Jamaica and our former home away from home was Jewel Runaway Bay, before Beaches bought it. Let's start with our private airport transfer. We used Reggae Island Tours, a new company and the service provided by Tomeik was second to none. Prompt, friendly, and professional....we HIGHLY recommend him and help his business grow. Upon arrival at the resort, we knew we found our new home. We had an ocean view room and the room was always clean, the a/c worked great and the bed was comfortable. During the day, we got involved in all the resort has to offer....pool trivia, aqua aerobics, booze cruise, snorkeling, Hobie Cat boat ride, paddle boarding, kayaking, tie-dyeing t-shirts, or just hanging out in the pool, enjoying drinks with new friends. We enjoyed all the evening entertainment as well, esp. seeing The Silver Birds Steel Drum Band and the Friday night beach party. The Food....Hubby ate at the jerk stand every day for lunch....best he ever had, he said! While the buffet is a bit limited, I understand why ( pandemic ) and I always found something to enjoy. We ate at Platnum and Moonstone each once and the service and food were absolutely spot on!! We are drinkers and I got to say, the drinks here are NOT watered down and all were great. While hubby usually sticks to Emerald Greens and I...mimosas, I did try other cocktails and all were yummy!! The pools were great, we mostly hung out in the main pool but the others were just as good. While the beaches ( the main beach and the small snorkeling beach ) were man-made and just o.k., we enjoyed them and never had any problems finding loungers. I really loved the grounds at this resort. So green and lush and well cared for. We did a nature walk one morning and our guide Donavan was very informative and you could really feel he cares about what he does. We did try the piano bar but found it a little too mellow for us but from what we saw, it was great and I did manage to drag hubby to Bling where I could dance and let loose. Now for the best part......THE STAFF!!! When I say you are treated like family, I mean it. First of all, several staff members remembered us from JRB, from 3 years ago. Every single staff member was friendly, welcoming, polite, and engaging.....I wish I had better words to convey how wonderful they were. As I usually do on vacation, I lost my voice and was made a special concoction that restored my voice the next day. We had a few guys who, knowing how special JRB is to our family ( our little boy passed away and some of his ashes are there ), they brought us as close as we could to that resort.......it meant the world to us to "visit" him and the resort that we loved so much!! If you want a fancy, bougie, big resort, look elsewhere. But if you want a homey, friendly, laidback resort with wonderful people, this is it!! We loved it so much, we are going back in December and can not wait!!

I would 100% recommend this resort to anyone coming to Jamaica. It’s the perfect size and the staff are wonderful. It’s also very clean and well kept with many different plants and beautiful flowers. 4 staff members specifically made our trip unforgettable; Marlon the piano bar bartender who not only provides fast and friendly service but gives a show of his own with jokes and tricks. Carlton the pianist at the piano bar, has the most amazing musical ear and will play damn near anything you can think of if he listens to it. Cathy Lee our housekeeper who we didn’t spend much time with for obvious reasons but she was always SO smiley and friendly. She was often the first face we saw in the morning and she made our mornings with her cheerful greetings. Finally, Janice the bartender at the emerald lagoon bar who you have to ask to roll the dice for her Janice specials because they are delicious. But she learned our names and checked up on me each day when I had water stuck in my ear. The little coffee shop on the resort made great specialty coffees in the morning and on your way to dinner if you grab a few shots of espresso they’ll whip you up a great espresso martini at the main bar! The sunset bar is a lovely place to watch the sun go down but we also enjoyed a beautiful sunset from the ocean. The glass bottom boat tour was a must do on the property and is included! Fish, coral, sunken boats and planes all in 45 minutes. There is a booze cruise on the same boat each day and the option to snorkel tour for a fee. Now I can’t even call most of this “cons” but rather things that need improvement. The breakfast buffet was great but lunch and dinner often left us a little disappointed. The court jesters pizza was good pizza but takes a long time some days. All the a la cartes for dinner were good though the Jade Samurai was disorganized despite being the only a la carte you need a reservation for. They also boast about a sushi bar but there is very little selection and small portions, more appropriate for snacks than dinner. The main pool swim up bar is understaffed during the day and you can end up waiting a long time for drinks in the pool while staff tends to guests on dry land as a priority. The spa staff are especially present at this resort and I think we must have been asked to visit the expensive spa on the property nothing short of 15+ times. The entertainment staff were not the most entertaining and the shows at night were nothing special 5/7 nights (but when Carlton plays at the piano bar you’re waaay better off there anyways). Events and games didn’t happen on time or sometimes not at all with no warning. I’d recommend an ocean view room. We had a pool view directly overtop of the only working hot tub and there were some late night parties and early birds who enjoyed the whirlpool quite loudly. I in ow this sounds like quite a few negative but they truly didn’t impact our overall experience much at all. I will always recommend this resort!

I found Jewel Paradise Cove as a last minute decision to travel for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and boy I am I glad I found the place. 1st off it is a smaller resort but has a big feel, it makes it a very cozy and relaxing place. It just melted the stress away. 2st off the staff for the most part were lovely especially JANICE at the Emerald pool swim up bar, she was amazing and made my trip that much more special. I would go from the beach all the way over to her bar for my drinks, she is definitely a Star at the resort. At the Piano bar CARLTON was great his charisma and knack for learning songs on the fly really drew the crowd in and got people singing. The shows at the main stage were great, the Silver Birds Steel Orchestra were a highlight for me. 3rd, the food was amazing, it was flavorful and their chefs really hit the mark. I loved the fact that they served Caribbean cuisine daily as I have been to other resorts where you cannot get local cuisine. Do yourself a favor and go to the Beach Jerk Stand, the Jerk Chicken and Pork with Festival was amazing and the spices were excellent. I ate their everyday of my trip and miss how it made my mouth buzz with delight. 4th, the Water sport staff were great and the Glass bottom boat ride was entertaining and do not missing the waterslide it was fun it was fast and got the blood pumping. I would suggest bring some snorkeling gear and check out both the main beach and the little beach in the back, seeing all the fish around us was surreal. Now their were a few things I would suggest they could do a little better and that was consistency with drinks and alcohol, like one bar would have some Malibu, another have some Southern Comfort, and another have some Gordons Gin, not one bar had everything, the well liquor could have been a little better. The female bartenders at the main pool bar could be a bit coarse. Also the trinket vendors off to the side of the pool were a little to pushy for my taste. Mind you none of these things really negatively effect my trip, but are just areas that could be improved. My trip was for 4 days and I felt the Staff, Food, and Entertainment made it feel like a lifetime and made a lasting impression on my 1st trip to Jamaica . I look forward to booking again.

On our way back to the cove, will be our 4th trip. Barbara and the staff are top notch from check in to check out. We see the reviews about the resort being old and needing updates and wonder where these guests stay. If meaning old is clean, comfortable, friendly, and everything you need on a wonderful vacation, then give us old. Can not wait to have another wonderful merric omelet and a drink mixed by my favorite shanesse. See you and the rest of the great staff on dec 6, (Wisconsin weather permitting!). Enjoyed our time at the Jewel Paradise Cove, especially the food. Met some great people like Janice at the laguna pool and Jonoy at the water slide. The chefs were very talented at all the eating areas. I wish I’d gotten their names, especially at the buffet

This was my second visit to Jewel Paradise Cove, and it was great! Our room was located in the Emerald Lagoon Block 3 with walk out to the pool which we loved! This pool also had the best bartender, Janice! Be sure to ask her for one of her signature drinks! While we spent most of our time at the Emerald Lagoon pool, we had lots of fun on the waterslide one day, and it's no joke! You can really get some speed coming down that thing. I "came in like a wrecking ball" a few times! The food was good. Buffet always had plenty of options, and the curries were always amazing. The al la carte restaurants were tasty, and a nice change from the buffet. The snack bar was good and had lots of quick bite options - burgers (beef and chicken), different types of sausages/hot dogs, grilled cheese, fries and wraps. Don't forget to visit the jerk hut on the main beach for some jerk chicken/pork, or Count Jesters for some afternoon pizza. There's no shortage of night time entertainment. There was a nightly musical performance on the main stage in the buffet every night that could be enjoyed at the buffet, the main bar, or over in the games area while playing pool or ping pong. Be sure to make your way up to the Piano Bar at least one evening and request a song and enjoy some cocktails. Thank you for another wonderful stay to our friends and staff at the Jewel Paradise Cove! We hope to visit again sometime!

Travelled with my 18 year old daughter, as well as my 31 year old daughter & son-in-law. We had a fantastic time!! Smaller resort - only 225 rooms, so a 5 minute walk maximum to any amenity. Food was great - loved Jade Samari, Moonstone's, the Jerk Shack on the beach. Buffet was plentiful and had options for the picky eaters. Staff was friendly and informative. Loved our room location - ground floor, right outside the Emerald Lagoon pool. Our pool bartender JANICE was AMAZING!!! Best Mango Tango's ever! Rooms are clean and adequate with the option of a king bed or two twin beds. The beach and swimming area are small, so if you're a beach person this may not be the resort for you. Highly recommend this gem of a resort for couples, family or friends travelling and looking for a smaller, quiet resort, with wonderful Jamaican hospitality!

I travelled to this hotel on my own and had the most wonderful 2 week stay. All the staff are warm friendly and kind. The hotel has a great warm and friendly feel because it isn't too large and yet it has all the facilities you could want and it's all included (apart from spa treatments).

First time to this resort and definitely not the last. Very clean indoors and out. The staff is so friendly. Room was great. Ask for Sofia and/or Salome for spa services. Nadia is the one to see for excursions.
