I loved this hotel - it has to be seen to be believed! The rooms are nicely appointed (although the air-con is a bit on the noisy side). The overall ambience is brilliant - really quirky - art and caged birds around every corner - the swimming pool in the shape of jamaica. They really go the extra mile in... More

We had the pleasure of staying at the Jamaica Palace Hotel for one night in March. A unique palatial experience. We felt as though we were royalty. Friendly staff and beautiful accommodations and surroundings. The owner made us the best cup of Blue Mountain coffee we ever tasted. We can't wait to go back for a longer stay.

The hotel reminded me of a pretentious golf course in North Carolina or a mega-funeral home. The common areas, hallways and rooms are mainly in good taste, sometimes very charming - like the tropical bird caged in an atrium. The outdoor patio is huge and the chess board pattern creates a bizarre and disturbing feeling that could trigger an epileptic... More

The hotel is not your usual tourist resort. This is where you go if you want to get away from tourist hustle and enjoy privacy in beautifully landscaped grounds. Very nice owners and managers. Good value. Food was okay; dinner service was below par (red or white wine?). Loved the place until my mobile phone was stolen from the room.... More

The hotel was beautiful. Although it was not our first choice, we were happy. The staff that greated us was very helpful. I called many times before arriving to confirm various details and they were always helpful. I suggest speaking with Lorna at the front desk. I also suggest including breakfast with your room as their breakfast can be a... More

As a couple who have travelled the world, stayed in many five star chain hotels (most of them paid for by some-else), we are very spoilt. When we pay for a hotel ourselves we expect both value for money and high standards. We found both at the Jamaica Palace, along with friendly staff, beautiful relaxing grounds, lovely art work adorning... More

The Jamaica Palace Hotel was absolutely charming and provided a perfect balance between experiencing the Jamaican culture and being on a resort. While at the hotel we drove to Boston Beach, Port Antonio, the market, Frenchman's Cove, Trident Castle, Blue Lagoon and San San Beach with in 10-15 minutes. We also visited Non-such Caves, Reich Falls and went Rafting on... More

My husband, my two nieces and I stumbled on the Jamaica Palace Hotel on our drive around the island. The room was amazing, marble floors hugh curtains and a palace-like bathroom. My nieces were quite impressed. I liked the room very much. We were enthralled when we visited the pool and grounds wow! The view and scenery were inpeccable. Unfortunately we... More

I experienced such a remarkable change in my husbands eating habits while staying at the Jamaica Palace Hotel, that I cant wait to share it with others. We arrived in Port Antonio September 15, 2003 , planning to spend one week at the Palace and then move on to explore Ocho Rios and Montego Bay. The Hotels Beauty was beyond... More

Great place for breakfast. The pool was neat, the architecture interesting and the grounds were nice. The room was beautiful but had a slight musty smell. Curtains covered the air conditioner and toilet paper dispenser. We walked in and were charged twice what this site says is the starting rate. I would go back to eat but not for a... More
