That's what the new James Bond movie is rumoured as titled :) So....spent a fabulously restful night here AGAIN .. 100% cotton sheets, rainforest and sea views, one of Jamaica's ASTOUNDING natural honeys at breakfast, honestly have never tasted as many honey flavours in one

Ought to just go and see what you see. It's a sort of legend. Do call ahead and ask the possibilities for the evening and be prepared to enjoy and carry on. It's Jamaica. Start with the sunset from the building top and let go. House wine is only OK as white and red but it's time

Thank you for your review, David. We offer a unique dining experience at Hotel Mockingbird Hill's Mille Fleurs Restaurant and it is heartening to have it so appreciated. We welcome your feedback on the House Red served. We are slightly limited sadly in the ‘House’ wines available from providers, but will certainly take your comments on board in the future where possible. We were very pleased that you found many layers by which to appreciate our delectable cuisine and that you felt the price of your meal to be a fair reflection of the quality and quantity that you enjoyed. We hope to see you again! Warm regards, Hotel Mockingbird Hill

We loved our stay here and we certainly would have given this stay 5 stars if the dinner and cocktails weren't overpriced as they are now. The hotel is situated on a hill with a tremendous view off the coastline and the blue mountains. We had a very nice room with a mosquito net

Thank you for your comments. We were so pleased to read that you had found the hotel to be beautifully appointed and had appreciated the lush natural surroundings and exquisite meals. Hotel Mockingbird Hill adheres to an extremely high standard of quality and we are proud to deliver a memorable experience. We were sorry that you felt the Continental Breakfast to be lacking due to the absence of an Egg portion. A Continental Breakfast by definition is 'A breakfast that consists of food such as bread, butter, jam and a hot drink. There is no cooked food’ (COBUILD Advanced English Dictionary). Our Continental Breakfast actually includes the addition of a glass of fresh fruit juice and a sumptuous, seasonal Fruit Plate and our home-baked coconut, banana, pumpkin-seed breads and fruit muffins, all delicious and hugely popular with guests. Specialist touches such as these elevate The MockingBird Hill/Mille Fleurs Continental Breakfast above the typical Hotel standard. We of course provide all Breakfast options as extra's on our Menu at a reasonable price. The quality of these items is high and the portions well-sized. Our omelettes, for example, are fluffy and light served with a choice of fillings and so large and generous that couples are often share one. The price of our Soufflé Omelette with Tomato, Sweet pepper & Onion is $8. The price of our Soufflé Omelette with Cheese is $9.50. The difference in price is due to the higher cost of imported quality cheese than the readily available local vegetables. We are sorry that you felt you had been over charged for missed ingredients and hope that you can see that this was indeed not the case. Generally speaking we would like to address your statements regarding guests being over-charged. Price comparisons cannot be made to those from your home as the conditions on an island are quite different. Foods which you might find easily accessible, of a good quality and at an inexpensive price in the States and Europe would likely all have to be imported here. This includes staples such as the flours, rice, olive oils, cheeses, vinegars; all of which must be imported to the Island (with the higher charges this engenders) and then transported to the Port Antonio Region. The petrol, being also imported, again raises the price of transportation, and the roads, as you might have observed- in quite poor condition, inflate this further. Wherever possible, Mille Fleurs will use Organic products, in keeping with the ethos of Mocking Bird Hill and our personal philosophies. We will source products locally whenever season and availability allow, but, of course food which is organically grown or raised commands a higher price than that which has been mass-produced. Last but not least, do bear in mind, that both in Europe and the US, the true cost of food is deflected and kept low because of government subsidies. Less affluent governments can’t afford to subsidise farmers and so one has to pay the actual or true cost of food. We believe that considering the exceptional quality of the meals produced, the higher cost of importing the products and to source them organically, the price of the food at our Restaurant is a fair and honest reflection of the journey that it has taken to reach your beautifully located table. Thank you again for your comments. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again in the future. Warm regards, Hotel Mockingbird Hill
