Perfect if you want peace, relaxation, quiet, great food. Sit on the restaurant terrace to see the dolphins every morning, then enjoy complimentary yoga or Pilates a few times per week. I had the best deep tissue massage of my life in the en plein air cabana on the cliff overlooking the sea. The menu wasn’t super extensive, but everything was delicious. The wine list is also impressive, as well as the servers’ knowledge of same, which is not always the case. Adrian makes a banging Old Fashioned!
The property is breathtaking and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are extremely clean , and I felt like I was in paradise my entire stay. I can’t wait to go back, this property is definitely where I will be getting married!
The vibe was great. The rooms were great. The staff was great. The food was great. The property was great. The overall experience was great. Be sure to enjoy the breathtaking views and spectacular swimming by the cliffs.
Let me preface this review by noting that I have been eying the Cliff Hotel for more than 2 years! We (wife, myself, and 16 month old) finally decided to go to the Cliff to celebrate my birthday (October 22-29). I will start with the pros. Pros: Being situated on the stunning Negril cliffs for a week is breathtaking and unparalleled. The staff had extremely great interpersonal skills which made us feel at home. --from the airport shuttle driver, security guard, front desk worker, the manager; to the bartenders (special shout out to LT, and Andre!), to the wait staff (O'Neil, Romona, Rochelle, and Nicole) Cleanliness of the rooms and surroundings were topnotch! The wife loved the yoga class by the sea -- Garfield was so fun and it was a nice relaxing 45 minutes The appleton rum braised oxtail and coconut lobster were amazing, not to mention the fish tacos-OMG!!! The local Jamaican breakfast was also amazing (see lower paragraph) We asked the chef if they could make fried chicken and festival and both were delicious! Room for improvement: Limited Yardie Menu: We stayed for 1 week so the limited Zest restaurant menu kinda got repetitive. They only serve one type of "Jamaican breakfast" which is the ackee and saltfish, but there are many other Jamaican breakfasts that they could offer, even on a rotational basis. I asked to substitute or combine food items because after 5 days I was a bit tired of the boiled plantains and yam so I wanted to add a pancake, and the waitress told me that the cook doesn't allow that. Rotating the local breakfast menu would be amazing! Even a wider variety of porridge menu and not just oatmeal. There was also a lack of Jamaican food options in general on the menu which was disheartening. Kids Menu: There was also no children's menu, or snacks that kids like to eat. Since Zest is the resort's only food option, this was challenging. I had to go off of the resort to find snacks and food for our daughter. Having an equilibrium would be best. With that being said, we had an impeccable and regal experience, nothing less than 5 stars. The experience was so good we can't wait to return soon.…
From the time we pulled into the property, we felt a sense of peace and calming energy surrounding this beautiful property. The staff from the guard at the gate the the front desk staff to the bartenders (special shout out to the best drink maker O-Might) were extremely friendly and welcoming. The accommodations were amazing the cleanliness of EVERYTHING was top notch! The views from the patio seating were gorgeous and the cliff jump was so much fun! The lifeguards were Great! I could gonon for ever about my experience but I’m too busy planning my return, I hated to leave! We can’t wait to return and enjoy this amazing location.
