My wife and I and two adult children are closing off a nice first week of 2023 at Villa Sur Mer! We had 6UP, which is a two bedroom two bath cottage with a small kitchen and living area. Loved being off the ground level, great privacy, air conditioning and fans in every room that worked great. We loved the super comfortable bed and pillow, access to Netflix and TVs in each room. Kitchen was well equipped but make sure you stop at the Megamart in Montego when you arrive to stock up on milk and eggs, bottled water, bread snacks etc to enjoy breakfast out front of the cottage or at the pool. Three minutes walk to Rick’s and 15 minute walk to Ivan’s..we alternated between staying at the Villa and going down to Seven Mile Beach. Note: this is a jungle rustic feel and you will hear exotic birds and roosters, even a cat or two, late at night or early morning but no complaints from me (no loud booming music at odd hours)!Thanks Carmen, Marlon and crew for your great hospitality! TIP: if you are going to the beach, head out early to Skylark Hotel where you can use their awesome beach cabanas and chairs at no charge if you order a meal and drinks.…

Beautiful Property it was very scenic. Nice pools. My room was awesome. Clean. Loved the porch with the table and chairs and the cute little swing. The staff were really nice. Shout out to Horace. He was a big help getting me in my room, showing me how to get to different places. I would definitely stay here again.

Villa Sur Mer is the place to go if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of 7 Mile Beach! It's located on the West End of Nagril on the Cliffs. Just a beautiful area that allows you to really experience the local life! The West End offers many great eating choices but if you need some beach time you can grab a 5 min cab ride to the beach! Villa Sur Mer is quaint, clean, quiet and perfect! The staff was the best! Starting with the front office, Carmen and Rene, Nika the bar maid and the rest of the staff (Mark, Marlin and Shem), even housekeeping! All of them always so helpful! Carmen and Rene set up transportation to and from the airport, day trips and Covid tests that we needed to get back to the states. Nika was there everyday at the pool bar and the guys always were there to keep an eye on the property and hale cabs for us! Always felt safe and secure! Planning to return again!…

My partner and I stayed at Villas Sur Mer for a few nights this December and didn't want to leave! The location offers plenty to do in the surrounding area. Beautiful pool and cave offer options for hanging around the hotel. Lovely staff with great concierge skill. Highly recommend!

Villa sur Mer was everything!!!!! From check in to check out! The property doesn’t have a restaurant but that ok, because there are so many nearby ones to choose from. The owner is so friendly and welcoming. She was there at checkin and made sure she saw us off when we were leaving. The team overall was kind and friendly. I want to give a big shout out to Demar he made sure he checked on us everyday. The room we stayed in was a one bedroom. The kitchenette had everything, the bed was super clean. The sheets were clean, white and soft! Cannot believe how comfortable the bed was. The grounds was clean and the pool area is to die for, I got some amazing pics there. Thank you villa sur Mer team for an amazing stay. We will definitely be back. “Mo & Sophi”

The five star experience started even before we boarded our flight. Ms. Carmen and her team were amazing from the very start. We were concerned with how we were going to get from the airport to the Villas (90 minutes away) and Ms. Carmen organized our travel with Mr. Erdley, sweet man with van with more than enough room for my sister and I to ride comfortably. Check-in: To say this was a smooth process would be an understatement. They greeted us like family when we arrived. Renee gave us a tour of the entire property and I was so impressed. In all my travels I've never had anyone leave the office to give me a personal tour! At most, you get a map and a set of keys haha. Room: I booked a king-size bed so that happened to put me in room 6 which is further from the entrance and closer to the pool/Jacuzzi area. My room was always comfortable. In addition to the king bed, my room featured a rainforest shower head, double vanities, a little breakfast nook, and a kitchen with gas stove, microwave, plateware, cups, and flatware. My back porch had two lawn chairs and a swing. It was super relaxing to sit out there the one evening it rained. Amenities: The pool is beautiful but without a lot of sun beating down on the water the pool was too cold for me to swim (personal preference). The jacuzzi however, was my best friend :). Being the only guests on the property at times meant we'd get the pool area all to ourselves. There's a bar but I only saw someone making drinks one day out of the 7 that I was there. The best part of everything was the caves. It's indescribable so I won't even try. It's just incredibly breathtaking. We even got a full-body one hour massage in the caves. It was so relaxing. Location: It's located in the cliffs so it's kind of far but there were a number of restaurants, bars, and stores in walking distance (or a quick cab ride away). For example, tourist trap Rick's Cafe is located just across the road. Getting around: Speaking of cabs, I would say 99% of the time we were moving throughout Jamaica, we were with a private driver that either Ms. Carmen or Marlon, the security manager, arranged for us. Private cabs (staying local) are pretty inexpensive $2-3pp. Long distance travel to/from the airport or full-day tours ranged between $40-$80pp, respectively. But we always felt safe. Speaking of safety... Security: There is 24 hours security on the property and that was very comforting. I'm a city girl, so I'm not accustomed to the peace and quiet and darkness haha. I, however, always felt safe at Villas Sur Mer. Marlon even gave my sister and I a tour of the seaside villa. Grab 10-12 of your best friends and book it! He also suggested a few decent restaurants for us to try. Housekeeping: So kind and swift. Our rooms were serviced every other day and that was probably more than I even needed. Excursions: Ms.Carmen helped us book each of our excursions and she even helped us find food some nights. She was such a sweet woman, who made us feel like we were in a home away from home. I think that's everything. I really enjoyed my stay! If I ever return to Negril, I'll definitely be a returning guest.…

The wves hitting against the rocks were very calming. The sunset views from the deck were amazing, 10/10 would recommend. Huge entertaining area for the six bedroom villa with its own private pool and jacuzzi.

Villas Sur Mer, Thank you to everyone that helped us, talked with us and made our stay as great as it could be. Warm Wishes, Emily and Dylan from Maine The people at Villas Sur Merare friendly, respectful and fun. We met a manger, Carmen, who has a great sense of hospitality and decorative style. We also met some great employees, Williams - security guru, Rushane - bartender extraordinaire and fabulous housekeepers that do a wonderful job making you feel welcome and cared for. We booked a one bedroom for three nights and were upgraded to a two bedroom. Beautiful rooms. The kitchen area was great, letting us feel at home. Sipping coffee in the morning on our porch or having a Red Stripe by the pool, it was all so relaxing a fun. The pool and hot tub area has very inviting, comfy lounge and floating lounge furniture. The restaurant across the street has a filling Jamaican breakfast and a proper view of the ocean. I highly recommend staying here and I would definitely go back to visit.…
