I love the Westender Inn! It is peacful, quiet and relaxing. Sitting just above low cliffs, the views are amazing and the sunsets are breathtaking. The owners were in attendance and were attentive to our needs. The food was delicious and made fresh to order. I especially loved the jerk shrimp. The staff is so friendly and helpful (they are always feeling perfect or wonderful). Special thanks to you all! My room was clean, fresh and comfortable. I will be back!

Hotel's Favorite
just back from another trip to the Westender for a week and had a perfect time! The hotel is a couple miles outside Negril away from all the noise and people of the big tourist zones. We spent our days lounging in the salt water pools and eating really good food at the on site restaurant. We had fresh tuna one night, really good jerk chicken another, fruit plates and calaloo omlets with homemade toast in the mornings, and fresh produce from their on site garden, The grounds are immaculate with beautiful and interesting plant life.If you pay attention there is a great bird population around:mocking birds, conures ,hawks, pelicans, and so many more. We made one day trip to Half Moon bay for some sandy beach time, its a secluded jungle with a big shallow sandy bay and a little bar and restaurant, another great place to get away from the crowds. The Westender isn't perfect, there will be a window that won't open or a light that won't work but they are just small things that don't really matter. The bed was comfortable (I'm picky) The nights were Quiet except the frogs and the ocean.Of corse we"ll be back!

I just returned from a fantastic stay at the Westender Inn...the staff were fantastic and the owners want to ensure that you have a great stay. This is a lovely, secluded hotel on the lower cliffs near Negril. It was the perfect spot to relax and reinvigorate. The pools were amazing and the food was hand prepared for each meal. You can feel how much love goes into everything here. Loved the silence and the sea views....

After 6 years we of marriage we were finally able to go on our honeymoon. We chose the Westender because it is private and off the beaten path. The resort is west facing, hence the name, and as a result, the sunsets are incredible. The food was great for the most part. The buffet on Sundays nights was the standout though. There was a spread of jerk chicken, some sort of candied pork, fried fish and sides. One of the best meals we had while in Jamaica! Can't say we were a fan of the drinks though. While a daily happy is nice, the drinks are all made with very sugary syrups that were not very good. When visiting someplace tropical you hope for drinks made with fresh fruit. As for the room and the grounds, the staff work hard to keep it nice. However, there was some paint needed in the stairwell of the honeymoon suite and some of the screens on the windows were broken. There was some garbage and a old rusty pipe laying on the waterfront. Some of the umbrellas looked a little worse for wear. Being the start of the season though, they may have been just getting ready for high season. This didn't stop us from enjoying the incredible view though and laying in the hammock on the balcony during sunset was incredible. What really makes the westender special though are the staff who are all very friendly and helpful. While a gentle reminder was needed to attend to the room, they were quick to remedy the situation. The star though is the driver "Tino". Always very accommodating and helpful, Tino definitely brings the Jamaican vibe. Lots of good laughs and fun trips. The Westender is lucky to have him. I would easily recommend the westender to anyone visiting Jamaica if they are looking for a quieter experience off the main strip. Thank you to the westender for making our honeymoon so memorable and relaxing. Nate and Ashley

If you want to be entertained, go to Disney. If you want to see the real Jamaica check this place out. The stars, the sea. the silence .. Breathtaking. Its way off the beaten path. The cabins are great. They have a shuttle to take you to town and the 7 mile beach. The sunsets here are the best. This is the perfect place to unwind, relax and get that phone out of your face! Dont panic phone addicts, they have wifi.
