View and location are incredible!Great food! Service needs improvement. Very slow, no check back, no table clearing, no ask for coffee or dessert. Shuttle - not happening. And no management follow to complaints. Sorry won’t be back!

We can't find the words to express how beautiful our vacation was at Kuyaba Negril. The #impeccable service that we experienced was par none, not to mention the #awesome food, #ambience, and especially the #beach. It's truly a gem, and we would recommend anyone to stay here.

The people who gave this place anything above poor are crazy. The pictures on the website do not depict any true reality. The grounds were beautiful and the staff were very nice. That is the only good marks I can give this. We had almost no lighting in the room, only 2 20

There for diner this mid-march with my spouse. We both had the salmon. Delicious, nice presentation and plentiful. Friendly waitress. Fairly good wine selection but a bit pricey. One can sit inside in the covered portion but open space or on the veranda. We chose the

Response from Kuyaba, Manager at Kuyaba Hotel & Restaurant - Negril
Responded 4 weeks ago
We often speak native language of patois, to one another in order accommodate or help you. We did not intend to make you feel uncomfortable as you overheard us speaking. Unfortunately, hotels do not have the capability to post photos in response. Otherwise, we would have attached your guest comment card here which at departure, asks about your stay and asks for feedback. Your handwritten card stated, “Sadia was fantastic with a warm smile. Keesha was very accomodating! Good vibes here at Kuyaba!” This feedback on February 2 paints a much different story than your review, which becomes transparent to most reading by the end of our response. To recap, On December 29, 2018, you booked 5 nights in a superior room , and reserved a secondary booking in the honeymoon room, knowing in advance you had to change rooms. You paid a standard 3 night deposit and a separate deposit for the transportation. At this time you received our cancellation/change policy in writing. We are a not a 5-Star hotel nor do we advertise to be. Therefore, we do not provide coffee makers, shampoo, conditioners, etc. Our website is very specific as to what comes in the room and which rooms have fridges. Prior to your arrival, you called and emailed informing us that you found alternate transporation. At this time, via email, we suggested that you could use your transporation credit in the restaurant, which you accepted. After your first night in the superior room (which has a fridge and 2 queen beds), you asked for a room with a different bed. We offered and you accepted, a complimentary upgrade to a king suite—no fridge but a very large room with a king bed, and a huge bathroom, shower and jacuzzi. You also mentioned lots of ‘what ifs’ —weren’t sure if you wanted to go somwohere else, not sure what you were doing the rest of your stay, what if we leave early, what about refund, etc etc. You eventually told us that you would be leaving on Feb 2, the second part of your booking, the day you were originally due to change rooms. Though you violated the cancellation policy and though not obligated, on January 29, we advised you that we would attempt to rebook your unused second booking (4 nights) so you did not have cancellation charges. We successfully sold 2 of the 4 nights—given such last minute notice. In summary- You stayed at our hotel for 5 nights, complementary upgraded to a King Suite. Your initial deposit covered only the first 3 nights. You paid the balance upon your arrival and shortly after changed your plans. We tried to assist you as best we could. What you failed to state was, that, upon returning home, you TRIED TO claim back from your credit card ALL FUNDS EXCEPT YOUR INITIAL (DEC 29 ) 3 nights DEPOSIT —-SHORTCHANGING THE HOTEL FOR THE NIGHTS YOU STAYED AND USED THE ROOM, plus 2 of the 4 nights violating the cancellation. This appears to be fraudulent and your dishonesty speaks for itself.

Hello. Have you sent us an email directly? I believe I saw something in there. If you don’t mind resending. It has not been answered yet as we have many repeat guests at that time and we are trying to sort out the requests that we already have for that period. Perhaps we can work around that. Please send to the hotel Kuyabanegril AT gmail DOT C O M Thank you (even if you sent already). Asking to send it again later today. TX

Hi....Just wanted to add. We do have different room types, from our cottages to our kings. Some guests love the cottages because they are different and something that they are not used to (board cottage), and want a different experience. Others are solely budget minded and it fits the right price range and they are out and about exploring. Many guests like to hang on the porch. That being said...There are other guests who book them and simply don't like them---too rustic...The good thing is we only have a few, as we have some repeat guests who beg us to keep them. If you want a different room, (and it is not a week like Xmas, or February) chances are you may be able to book a more upscale room once you are there... Just thought we Would add...
