As soon as Jamaica opened back up for tourist I was there. My family is from Kingston so I am no stranger to the island, I although am usually a patron of larger/ all inclusive hotels. Travellers changed my mind. Its walking distance from the city center making it easy to access restaurants, stores and nightlife. The rooms are super spacious, cozy and clean. The staff was professional, warm and always available. In the event that we weren't in the mood to eat off the property they had an extensive menu of traditional Jamaican dishes as well as more universal choices. Its right on the beach , the water was warm and views generous. My biggest concern was traveling during Covid... they quelled my fears. The entire staff wears masks at all times. They are constantly disinfecting common areas and going above and beyond to ensure the safety of their guests and employees. I was so impressed with the steps they were taking I began writing my review while still there. I highly recommend Travellers Beach Resort.. and when you visit be sure to have the fruit smoothie its delicious!

This was our first attempt going non-all inclusive since we're older now and don't eat or drink like we used to. Also, it's our eighth trip to Jamaica and have done the tours and attractions etc. already. We wanted a nice room, good beach and food. the lively pool bar and great help was a bonus. We tried eating around and came to the conclusion the food at travellers was as good as anywhere else and loved the convenience. We got the breakfast plan for $80 which came in handy. The beach was smaller but perfectly adequate. We had second floor room 57 which had a nice view with patio. We noticed the first floor rooms looked smaller so choose the room carefully. Private transfers from the airportwere $80 each way which we took advantage of.
Since no trip is without glitches I will note them here, even though I will definitely be back. When I called to book they were having trouble with the phone line and when we arrived the power was down so no lights, beach towels and other services. There was outside the room, marble stairs going down to the ground. One day it rained, and I slipped on these stairs breaking a rib. If I had my sandals on maybe would not have happened, but I was barefoot. The management promised to correct the situation but I don't know if it happened, so use your footwear since there's a lot of polished marble. The waterline is about 25 feet from the building, so the beach vendors are close to you, so if you clutch your pearls when confronted by a Jamaican sales person there might be a problem. Sometimes the waitstaff may get you order or bill wrong and try again. Towel cards are used so one towel which has to be returned to get your card back. there's a little shade but the staff will install an umbrella by your chair when asked.
Bottom line I saved thousands doing a pay as you go instead of all inclusive. Not as polished but we had the room, the beach, the food, good help, so what's not to like.

On my visit to Jamaica I visited Travellers Beach Resort with my local family and we had the most amazing time. I have stayed at some of the other places on seven mile beach in the past but this one is by far the best one yet. Toni-Ann at the front desk was helpful, she she knows role and does a phenomenal job, I made a mistake while booking the room and she quickly fixed it for us. She was pleasant and represents this establishment wonderfully!
Our room was really nice, comfortable beds and it feels like your in a flat. The room we stayed in was not adjoined. The bathroom was another favorite, really clean and modern with a nice shower! My family and I went to the beach, after our temperature check and mandatory sanitizing I didn’t even have to ask for a chair. Michael was so on top it that we were greeted with all we needed for a fun day at the beach. The beach was great lots of nice waves, clear water and I was comfortable with the children playing close to the water because Michael keenly did his lifeguard role. We stayed for the night and had the same pleasant experience the following day. The bartender at the beach restaurant was also really nice and friendly. Toni-Ann and Micheal are exceptional members of this establishment and really went above and beyond to make our stay a lasting memory. When in Negril please check out Travellers beach resort, the food is also really good and affordable!

I have just arrived home, and I am already missing the team that work at Travellers Beach Resort. They really know how to make sure each guest is looked after personally, as they genuinely care about every guest. I was a lone traveller, but was never short of people to talk to. The banter from the staff was great, I enjoyed their company. So a big thanks to Tasheca, Kereen, Antoinette, Marva, and bar staff Romeo, Ricky, Ramon, housekeeping, security, front desk staff, and those whose names I didn't get, you are all a credit to the hotel.

The hotel is small, but the location and views out to the beach are breathtakingly beautiful, I felt I was in paradise. The food was amazing, I ate and drank like a King, big up the Chef/s. The Jamaican food night with the escoveitch fish was sensational, that I ordered it again the following day, even though it wasn't on the menu the Chef still prepared it for me. I often asked for my food to be changed slightly and my requests was always carried out, nothing was too much trouble, and I appreciated that.

The nightly entertainment was great, love the reggae band. The security/beach attendant entertained us with music, whilst the guests sunbathed, he put out the loungers and umbrellas. He even went and washed my water cup when it fell in the sand, and refilled it. I enjoyed my time sitting at the bar laughing with the staff, or chatting to other guests, who all had nothing but great things to say about the hotel and the staff.

There was only one negative, but it didn't spoil my holiday, I had a standard queen room, very happy with that, the bed was so comfortable. My only concern was room 36, is at the back, not much sun light coming in the room, due to a high fence blocking the light. It wasn't inviting to sit on the terrace. Next time I will book a garden view room, as the garden is immaculate, and so well kept.

I urge everyone to give this hotel a try, as I had the best holiday, and I credit that to the staff. Management, if you are reading this, do what you need to hold onto your staff, as I want to see them when I'm back.

This is a very comfortable and clean resort right on the beach. During a global pandemic, the staff and resort exceeded my expectations for safety of guests and staff. The booking process was very simple and I felt immediately welcome when I arrived. My original room had some minor issues upon arrival, and I was immediately upgraded, so I was very appreciative of the staffs communication during any minor inconveniences and immediate actions to resolve. We stayed there for 7 days and really enjoyed the beautiful beach and food that the resort offers. The rooms and beds are clean and comfortable. I love the greenery on the property and view from the restaurant. Live entertainment a few nights a week was the cherry on top, whether we sat at the bar or listened from the balcony. I would definitely stay here in the future.

This is a nice resort if you are looking for a stay on the beach that is clean and secure and offers all the basics such as restaurant, bar, pool, fitness center, and gift shop. The staff works very hard and are very friendly. They clean constantly and follow all the proper COVID-19 protocols. The rooms are small but clean. Bed and bedding comfortable. I had the Standard Queen room. Closet and bath were decent but the room area very small. I was solo so it worked for me but I don’t see how two people could possibly move around. My room #49 was very private which I like and updated with a spacious shower, cable TV but no premium channels. I had a partial sea view and very nice size veranda. AC in the room and WiFi throughout the property worked great. The beach is broad and super clean. There are plenty of beach chairs available and towels are offered to guests. The food was decent. Nothing is complimentary except coffee (more on that). Plenty of selections for breakfast and lunch. I didn’t eat dinner. Prices were a little above average but beer and alcohol expensive. The menu definitely is geared more towards American cuisine. Not as many fresh choices or Jamaican dishes as I would have liked. Breakfast didn’t offer much fresh fruit like you would expect to receive in the tropics where fruit is in abundance. The only small complaint I have is that coffee is offered in the rooms but not tea. Everyone isn’t a coffee drinker. I had to purchase tea at breakfast. This resort draws a friendly down to earth crowd. For a pandemic time, I didn’t expect to see as many tourists/travelers at the resort as I did. Everyone was doing their part to protect themselves and others. I would stay here again.

I would like to send a big shout out to the staff that I encountered prior to and during my stay. I had some concerns prior to my visit and Shellian was exceptional in making sure my needs were met. In the last couple months I had been dealing with some personal issues and this trip really helped to take my mind off of things.
The resort was a much smaller resort than I am normally used to staying,  but I enjoyed the small feel as you recognized the regular staff and even fellow guests.
The staff were on point and handled an issue of mine very professionally and expeditiously; shout out to Rochelle.  My housekeeper,  Caroline, always made sure my room was good and smelled nice.
The restaurant staff; with a special shout out to Tamara, Kereen and (I can't remember her name but she was training and had only worked there for a month, who was very bubbly and friendly).  There were a couple others, but again,  I don't remember their names, were very efficient and took care of my significant other and myself right a way.
The grounds and room were kept very clean and tidy. Issues arose beyond Travellers control the day I checked in; water issues and cable issues,  which was communicated to us.
The spot where the resort is situated on the beach was beautiful. Security staff was also helpful in finding a spot on the beach to sit as well as giving us an umbrella.
My only complaint would be that they have more of a selection when it comes to Jamaican dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was great otherwise.
I would definitely return to Travellers as well as recommend it to friends and family to stay on a visit.

I was sad that I didn't get to tell staff that I had connected with bye as I had an early flight.

Thank you Travellers.

Just got home from our trip to Negril. This was my 9th trip to negril, first time I stayed at Travellers. It was awesome, we stayed for 3 weeks, supposed to be 10 weeks but due to covid the Canadian government wanted us home. The resort was beautiful, the staff went out of their way to make sure you were happy. The owners were on site if you had an issue. When the government of Canada was making rules the owners would come and check on us and help us with whatever we had to do to get home safely.

Location was great, it had a wonderful restaurant with fantastic food, you sat on the deck over looking the beautiful ocean, watching the sunset at night.

I already have booked for next year, 89 day stay I hope.

I had never been to Travellers before and came on a whim for a few days. Usually go to MoBay or Ocho Rios so had not been in Negril for years. I have been pleasantly surprised. I stayed at first in the basic bungalow (no a/c - fan, nice shower, TV), then ended in the deluxe room (all of the above and a/c, fabulous view, and most important, good coffee). All paths lead directly to the beach. The best part was starting and ending my day eating while looking directly out to the sea. Beautiful sunsets under a large sea grape tree. The staff just has to hear you have a need and they will do their best to fulfill it. The staff was absolutely amazing. All of them. Full Jamaican hospitality. I was impressed by the way the hotel spent money on things that matter while economizing elsewhere to keep the prices reasonable. Delicious Jamaican breakfast and lobster, snapper and other delicious items for lunch and dinner again at very reasonable rates. Hotel is near a restaurant so beaches relatively bare on both sides. Cristal clear sea. Very relaxing.

Had a wonderful stay at Travellers Beach Resort. We have stayed many times at the all inclusive hotels in Negril but wnated to try something different this trip. Travellers had excellent reviews and many repeat guests. We loved everything about it, location in Negril, great food, lovely gardens, beautiful beach and a friendly efficient staff who welcomed you to the hotel. It was wonderful to start the day on their restaurant deck overlooking the ocean. This hotel of 60 rooms is intimate enough for the staff to get to know the guests and make the service seem personalized. Because of the central location, we were able to dine at various places by walking the 7 Mile Beach, eating at the hotel (with great food,)or by taking a short taxi ride to places on Norman Manley Boulevard or the West End of Negril. I highly recommend doing this . Some of the places we tried and loved were Chicken Lavish, Canoe Beach Bar and Grill, Patsy's Coffee Shop and Best in the West. Will be trying others as well on our next trip. The room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable (Superior Queen room) and the fridge in the room was wonderful for storing a few groceries and drinks we picked up at the nearby HiLo supermarket. We loved the balcony which was private due to the lush garden . We will be returning next year!
