My husband and I just returned home from am amazing 5 nights in paradise. This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are very accommodating. Everyone is very friendly and seem to truly enjoy their jobs. The hotel grounds and rooms are very clean and well kept. Negril was very quiet, as tourism is still not what it was, but we certainly enjoyed having the beautiful beach and hotel nearly to ourselves.
A ruined honeymoon...where do I start? Everything about this place was shady & kind of nightmarish. I’ll list a few: -Not secure, no deadbolt on door. My partner & I laugh about their motto “Sandy Haven is a safe haven”. -Booked an ocean view room, what we got was a second floor (walk-up) view of the tops of trees. Was told the top floor was “unavailable” yet it was obvious those rooms were vacant. -Bait & switch, overcharged us for our room at check in. Didn’t get anywhere with management on the issue, felt like they were waiting us out. We ended up settling for the overcharge just to get on with our honeymoon. -No elevator, fun times with luggage. -Pool is interior view of buildings with bats circling overhead. Not relaxing when bats are buzzing around over your head. -Jacuzzi was cold, yes not even warm. Staff did try to fix it albeit unsuccessfully. -Shower was so narrow you bump your elbows washing your hair. -Cheap interiors. I give them credit for “trying” to make it look nice. Vanity was painted but was chipping off from water exposure. -Really overpriced restaurant & tiki bar. -Rooms weren’t exactly quiet. -Shady characters eye balled guests from the tiki hut at & after dusk. They creepily watched guests a little too closely as they went back to their rooms. After one day we had had enough & did not feel safe so we tried to find another hotel. Got nailed with $350 in cell roaming charges trying to secure a room elsewhere last minute. Finally at 11pm the resort we got married at a few days prior called back & offered us the one spare “back up room” they had. What a relief. We forfeited the cost of the rest of our stay at Sandy Hell & the experience cost us hundreds more than we had anticipated, however we were just glad to get out of there!…
From the moment we stepped foot on the grounds of this resort we were treated so well. The staff are so great and so friendly. The food is delicious and VERY reasonably priced. The views are amazing. The beach is clean. The rooms are spacious and have all that you could need to make yourself comfortable. The balconies are great as well. Located within walking distance to many other restaurants and bars. We can’t wait to stay here again! Thanks for a memorable experience!
A small little boutique hotel. Had all the COVID protocols in place. Felt very safe, all surfaces were wiped down continuously. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant. The drinks and food were great. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Also indulged in a massage, and no surprise here, it was great as well! No negatives!
Just back from Negril we stayed here for 7 wonderful nights. Very impressed with the friendly staff and how much detail they take to make sure we're happy with our stay. Room 114 ground level was perfect.
