I have contacted the resort on several times through emails to book an event for 2023 I started the emails in July of 2021, some of the emails have been answered. If they’re not interested I need move my event to another resort. Ms. Brown Thanks
We chose Sandy Haven based on reviews and the reviews are 100% correct. This place is a hidden gem. I want to tell everyone about it and also tell no one because I selfishly want to keep it a secret all to ourselves. So, only the cool people keep reading. We decided to stay a 2nd wk because the 1st was perfect and went by too fast. We were upgraded (again!) to a corner room with an ocean view and a delicious cross breeze from the balcony. It had cedar cathedral ceilings and a soaking tub. Not being all-inclusive people SH was perfect. No crowds or kids. We always felt safe and comfortable. My gluten free diet was never a problem for the kitchen. This is the perfect spot on 7 mile. Quiet but chill. You can walk a minute down the beach in either direction to find a party if that's your thing. It was so perfect we barely left the resort. Other reviews mention staff often and they really do make Sandy Haven what it is. I worked in the service industry for 20 yrs in Canada. I respect this team's commitment to exceptional guest service while maintaining the casual vibe that brings people to Negril. It’s a delicate balance and they make it look easy. It's even more difficult considering this area is just rebounding from 2 yrs of Covid which decimated their industry (so tip like you would at home!). Every staff member has a genuine smile and goes out of their way to make you feel at home and that energy is the beating heart of this place, and why we can't wait to return. …
We have been wanting to go back to Negril but not stay in an all-inclusive so that we could go out and experience more in the area. Sandy Haven was an excellent choice; my sister had recommended it because she had stayed there a few years ago. Great location on the beach, wonderful rooms and the best staff ever! Pops greets you when you arrive and takes care of your luggage, he will check in with you every day to see how things are going. The lovely lady that works the beach to ensure the vendors don't come up is so kind, she will make sure you are happy and having a wonderful time. The morning breakfast that is included was a very large fruit plate, toast with muffins, coffee and a mimosa! Try to get an oceanfront room the view is amazing if you are on the third floor. The highlight of the hotel is Rohan Robinson, he works in reservations and gave me the best service that i have ever received at any hotel! He took care of everything we asked his help with and set us up with an amazing table out on a cliff at the Rockhouse for dinner. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was in our own private little hut watching the sunset, it was perfect! We were leaving the next day and he called us in the morning to see how the evening went, it was his day off and he still took the time to make sure we had a wonderful experience. I will definitely be back!…
Wonderful small hotel in midst of 7 mile beach. The friendly staff was very accommodating, especially the breakfast crew who knew we were early birds looking for coffee lol. The beach bar chef was first class with some unique dishes. Being off season the beach was not crowded at all and we had our pick of lounge chairs. There is pool and hot tub also. If you a more fancy dinner Bongos restaurant on site was excellent, though being off season the menu was not fully available .
Beautiful property, beautiful room, beautiful beach. The three guys that checked me in were really cool and friendly and gave good tips on where to eat. Pops took great care of me. All staff were helpful. Breakfast was great along with the included continental breakfast and mimosas. I was upgraded to room 132 with high ceilings and ocean front. The room and view was absolutely gorgeous. Soak in tub was great to cool off in after a hot day out on the beach. I cannot say one bad thing about this place if I tried. Right across the street is a covid testing site for $40 and the best Jamaican food in the area- Best in the West. Customer service is amazing- I left a pair of sandals that were a gift in my room and they are holding them for me until I get shipping handled. I will most certainly be back to Sandy Haven.…
This boutique hotel is beautiful!! So much care has gone into every aspect of this property. You will be treated like family here. The continental breakfast that is included is very nice. Fresh fruit cut to order, muffins hot out of the oven, coffee served in a lovely french press! And all served in a lovely setting right on the beach. If you have visited Negril before you may have noticed that many places are a little "tired" and that is part of the charm of Negril, but Sandy Haven is NOT one of those! The pictures can't possibly do it justice. We were really over the moon here. We also had an upgrade to the 3rd-floor ocean view and it blew our flip flops off! If you were ever wondering if the premium rooms are worth the extra $$, I would have to say in this case they totally are. My husband and I were here on our own, but we would return with our kids in a heartbeat. This place is suitable for everyone.…
This is my second stay at this resort and I must say - it was so so nice to be remembered! From front desk staff, to security, to waiters - I felt right back at home. I stayed for a longer period this time and I am so glad that I did. I have to say a massive shout out to the lovely ladies who served me breakfast everyday. Nothing was ever too hard and you always made my morning. Chucky (!) you remembered me and knew exactly what I wanted for breakfast and your cocktails were 12/10! Owen, thank you for always checking in and making sure I was ok - I really appreciated that. Rohan - it was nice to meet and speak with you. Thank you for making me feel welcome. Ms Charm - you always made sure my room was spotless and clean. Earla - thank you for the little chats. You felt like a long lost auntie! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. No request was too difficult. If you want a relaxed, laidback home from home experience, that isn’t too busy and hectic like some of the all inclusives on the strip - this is the place to choose. It’s in a great location on 7 mile beach. Make sure you get the ocean front room for breathtaking views 24/7! I woke to see natures incredible sunrise and was able to view natures incredible sunset - EVERYDAY. I cannot wait to be back again, in a place I can truly say feels like home from home. Thank you guys for looking after me, my holiday was truly great. Ps. If you’re lucky, you can get to sample onsite fruits that grow on the trees. I managed to get a coconut! It was divine!…
OMG! Better than an all inclusive. We experienced the welcoming vibe of Jamaica from the time we booked to the time we left. A much different vibe than the all inclusive but better! I could spend a very long time at this resort as it could not be better located. Loved everything from the people to the food.
We are staying in the Negril cliffs and visited Sandy Haven yesterday for some drinks on the beach. We were warmly welcomed by Pops and treated like family by the awesome bar staff - as per usual. We had a great time at the bar and the rum punch packed a punch, just delicious. Chucky makes a special drink and it’s perfectly blended refreshment, ask him for the Chucky Special! Float that rum! Here’s a huge recommend to stay or play at Sandy Haven. You’ll find all the character and personality of 7 Mile right here. From previous experiences staying at Sandy Haven and 10 trips to Negril, I truly feel it’s the top boutique hotel on the beach with comfortable rooms, great food, and kind service. We will be back soon!
I've stayed at 6 or 7 different small Negril beachfront hotels and Sandy Haven is by far the most upscale and luxurious. I believe there may be only one or two other non-all inclusive hotels on Negril Beach that are as practically perfect in every way. My room was immaculate with the perfect a/c. I never touched a setting and the room had everything I could ever want. Staff is extra helpful and friendly including "Pops" who is combination bellhop, security and all around helper and Miss Sinclair who handles towels on the beach and watches out for your stuff if you take a walk or keeps an eye out for any beach hustlers who appear unwanted. My only complaint would be limited options for dining which may have been due to COVID but I appreciate REAL Jamaican food and had to cross the street or eat next door (in either direction) for my Jamaican favorites. I'm home 3 days and still dreaming of my chaise beneath the shady trees and the PERFECT beach location. This is a place for "adults" (16+). While I adore little kids, I appreciated the peace of the adult atmosphere.…
