Beaches Negril garners praise for its diverse amenities and vibrant atmosphere that caters to both adults and children, with many guests enjoying the lively entertainment. The resort's cleanliness, especially its well-maintained beaches, often receives commendation. However, opinions on the hotel's value and room quality are mixed; some travelers feel the high costs are not fully justified due to overpricing and rooms that occasionally fall short in decor and maintenance. While the service is generally highlighted as caring and attentive, experiences with staff responsiveness vary.

We are family of 5, with 3 kids ages 13, 10 and 8. This was our first time staying at Beaches Negril, we had a 10 day stay in January 2023.

We had an amazing time and this would not have been possible without some of the hospitable staff that really made us feel we were apart of the family (To be mentioned below)

Checkin at Resort

We were greeted by our Concreige rep Felicia, with a big "welcome home". She was so helpful throughout the entire trip, helped us plan our resort itinerary as soon as we got their and was available throughout our stay. She has exceptional customer service skills never impatient and always helpful ❤️

Room
We booked a Tropical Beachfront Oversized Conceirge Family Suite and requested the Savanah Building (it's more central to pools and restaurants) I had called a few days before to confirm the request, although I do understand nothing is guaranteed until checkin based on availability.

We stayed in room 118, located on the end of the Santa Cruz buildings, facing construction of the new butler suites, definitely not Tropical Beachfront view.

Felicia was able to able to confirm we could switch rooms 6 days later into the Savanah Building. We ended up staying in the room we were given as it was going to be a bigger hassle and disruption to repack for a move 6 days later. Although we appreciated the effort.

The room was spacious and clean and housekeeping staff did a great job on daily cleanings, spotless and included turndown service. The only issues we had encountered was one day the tub was extremely slow to drain and next day their was flush issues with the toilet. The maintenance staff was quick to come fix and resolve the issues.

The room could use some updating overall we had a comfortable stay.

Construction
There are buildings going up on each end of the resorts. Esthetically this wasn't the view I would expect for what we payed (we were never told at time of booking there was construction), however there was no disturbance or obstruction. There was no noise at night and during the day we were always out, again only visually displeasing.

Restaurants:
The food was just OK. The jerk chicken was a little disappointing (we have has it on a prior trip to Jamaica and it was amazing, resort had fire pit where they bbq)

Kimonos Teppanaki- Good
Mariachi (Mexican) OK
Stewfish (A big thanks to Chef Leon) 5+
He made an amazing curried fish for my husband's birthday dinner. From the table setup, to plating the food and Chef serving it to the tasteful dish itself, this was a true 5+ rating. Chef Leon I will not be surprised and expect you to have your own restaurant one day. You are not only an amazing chef you truly understand what customer service means.

The Venetian (Italian) was set up at temporary location, my favorite was the Salmon, however where we were seated where under the floor was a house where cats and kittens were living (we were told this)at any given time there at least 3 or 4 cats around our table. I am allergic to cats and this made me very uncomfortable, we had told the waiter he scared them away but they eventually returned. Because of the this I did not not enjoy the dinner as I felt tense and was in a rush to finish dinner and leave.

Beach
The beach is beautiful so soft like powder. The water so clear and turquoise blue with plenty of water activities that kept the kids busy. Snorkeling, paddle boats, water skiing, glass bottom boat and much more. The water was calm and warm most of the days.

Pools/Waterpark
We enjoyed the waterslides, splash park, and lazy river. The water park is a little smaller than what have used before at different resort but it was convenient as it was easy to keep an eye on the kids.

Red Lane Spa:
This is where the rating for Beaches dropped for me, and is one of the main reasons I can not give it a 5 star rating.

Services we signed up for:
• Mani Pedi 8 years old daughter/Me
• Beyond disappointing. My daughter's color came off within 3 hours completely. The service I received was mediocre at the best, novice service and took so long.
• Braids -Daughter
• The lady is the same one who did my mani pedi, she told me she also does the braids, she had a difficult time doing the braids and didn't take the part farther back. While my daughter's mani pedi was done well before mine by another lady, I don't know why her hair wasn't done by someone else, as this added time to our treatments, we spent 3.5 hours which was ridiculously long considering the quality of service or lacking of.
• CBD massage -Husband
• He went for his service and was not too impressed with the service.

The lady who did my treatments told me they worked off commission and tips. She had followed me out to the reception area and was trying to push me to book for my husband's massage as well as mine (which was the following week) I felt she was pushy and was not experienced to be providing such level of treatments, the whole experience turned me off
I could feel tension in the office among this lady and her co workers felt ljke she was laying claim to the services I signed up for. I ended up canceling the remaining services due to this experience.
• Hot stone massage Me (cancelled)
• Relaxation massage -Son (cancelled)

FEEDBACK: The treatments are quite costly, which I don't have an issue paying for, however in return I expect a 5+ experience. I am a spa person and look forward to these on my vacations, I have experienced exceptional level of service on previous trips at different resorts and that is what I am comparing too. Not impressed with Mani Pedis or my daughter's hair or the experience in general.

Beaches should take opportunity to infuse more cailbure of experience in the Spa services to really strive for the 5 star rating. Right now it is subpar. It's not about compensation, hoping this feedback will be heard and changes made.

Staff A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT to these folks:

Felicia Concreige - Exceptional
Entertainment Crew
Shanaynai - Amazing
Shamoya -Soulful voice amazing

PRINCE: Outstanding, made this trip so special for our kids. Amaya, Sahib and Tejas loved their Foosball faceoffs with Prince. Kids looked forward to these matches and were kept entertained. Knowing the kids by name and chatting up with them about how they are doing really made it feel like we were at home. Keep it up you are a genuine soul.

Delly - Charismatic full of energy room lit up every time he was around.

These lovely folks are also very talented and kept the energy and vibe lit!

ADRIAN: Keeps it REAL, FAIR & RESPECTFUL
A few days ago there was a parent and kids game, all I will say not all the parents and kids on stage were playing fair. There was one family in particular and this was noticed by the audience as well as the employees. He has no problem addressing this family and keeping it respectful at the same time. I know myself being apart of the audience and several other people appreciated this, he kept it fair for all the others on stage that were playing fair.

Richard
James
Cadesha
Dresha

CHEF LEON from Stew Fish as mentioned above went above and beyond to make my husband birthday dinner special and unforgettable, dinner on the beach inches away from the water with custom menu so hospitable.
Wilfred- Great service so polite and attentive.

DJ MORADO- He knows his music and took it back ol' School with some 90's jams. (Lauryn Hill, Tupac Shakaur, Punjabi music)
Oliver at Water equipment
Omario-great customer service
Jodi Ann Shop

Overall
There were some nuances, the small details in the end that prevented the 5 star rating. The construction views, dated rooms, underwhelming Spa services and non authentic food experience.

We had a great time with some amazing staff who elevated the experience. These are the talented people that stand out to us and are the faces for Beaches and our first impression of this resort. Overall we had a great time, we might try another Beaches resort in Jamaica 🇯🇲.

The staff made our vacation amazing! They went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with every minute detail of our stay. They knew our names, they provided helpful suggestions and responded immediately to requests in such a warm and welcoming way. The lovely Giselle co-ordinated amazing experiences for us and ironed out all kinks with a professionalism and panache that made us feel like the only guests. Thank you Bruce for finding Jamaican apples for us when they weren’t on the menu. Roy will always serve you with a quiet smile that masks his keen attention. Lesmore will never fail to greet and ask what you need, or have it created if it doesn’t exist AND take it to you even if out of his particular area for the day. Daidra and Dalton work tirelessly and we envied their attitude. We loved all the included watersports (that we have to pay extra for at other resorts) and Anthony and Michael will keep you in stitches as you kneeboard, ride the glassbottom boat, snorkel or SNUBA. For the amazing meals, Lemar and Turay will make it right (personally) to your particular taste. Just ask. No criticism is met with a frown. The 7 miles of white sandy beach will never fail to delight. The beach and grounds are well kept to a 5 star standard. The sanitization that occurred made us feel safe. All the staff wore masks at all times, the beach chairs were sanitized between guests. Hand sanitizer stations everywhere - with kind reminders at each location from the employees if one forgot upon entering. Guests were served all meals even at the buffet as an extra precaution. My 4 year old son enjoyed getting sweet treats at the patisserie (We did too!) and pizza at the pizza spot. He played with other children at the waterpark and on the beach. Though we didn’t spend alot of time in our room, we liked how spacious it was, the view of the ocean through the trees was nice. Concierge service was good and the housekeeping staff did a great job with the piles of sand my toddler seemed to secret on his person and back to the room each day. They offer turndown service but we were always in bed before we could enjoy this - fun filled days make for an early night! If your child enjoys Sesame Street the private character breakfast is a fun family time. My 4 year old really enjoyed it regardless and he had never seen one episode. There are so many activities to choose from that one can do as much or as little as one desires. Sheer delight! We will be back and we cannot wait!

We had a great time with our 2 boys ages 11 & 13 for a quick break at the beginning of January. We found the property to be a great size for the 4 nights we stayed - we left feeling like we could have done more but not feeling bored. We stayed in a concierge room with a king bed and a trundle bed - this was a great set up for us as each boy had their own bed at night and the extra bed pushed out of the way during the day. Toiletries included large sized of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion as well as bar soap. The shower and toilet were in a room with a door with a window with just a window that just has slats - we kept the door closed and found that kept the main room cooler. We did have to call to repair the toilet 4 times including once in the middle of the night due to a leak in the tank. Someone did show up promptly each time just wish it did not take 4 tries to fix.

The concierge was helpful in making spa, cabana and restaurant reservations. We did not feel like we missed out not having a butler. Food was good to very good. We especially enjoyed sushi and hibachi. Boys preferred breakfast buffet but there did always seem to be a wait if you arrived around 9am. We did rent a cabana for a day and it was fabulous. The attendant made sure we all had mixed drinks and kept the cooler stocked with bottled water and soft drinks. He also brought us pizza for lunch.

We went diving two times (cancelled due to rough conditions our last day). The first dive was great unfortunately the second dive had way too many divers 16 mostly inexperience divers which they sent down as one group. The group should have been split into 2 groups of 8 and taken different directions over the reef as it was we were constantly being jostled by divers who could not maintain their buoyancy.

Over all we had a great trip and 4 days was a good length. Certainly would have been happy to have another day but I do think 7 may have been too long for this property.

My family and I visited Beaches Negril by accident in August 2020, when Covid caused us to be transferred from Beaches Ocho Rios to Negril.

Upon arrival, we were not disappointed in the change of venue, as the resort was immaculate. The greeting was peaceful and easy and we were able to start relaxing right away.

Our rooms were sanitized twice and day and everything was kept insanely clean. We were impressed with how well Beaches had adapted to all of the changes caused by Covid.

The beach area (a part of 7 mile Beach) is post card worthy, with white sand and clear water for days. Everything is perfectly maintained, to include the boats, snorkel gear, and water activities.

Each restaurant had new protocol, which ended up making the trip even more relaxing (in my opinion). Instead of getting your own food from the buffet, someone follows you and places it on your plate. You do not even have to lift a finger. All the food was delicious and well prepared.

The scuba area was the most organized that I have seen at ANY Sandals and Beaches ( I have been to many ). They recognized our certifications and paired us with a Dive Master that met our needs. We had such a wonderful diving experience the entire trip!

The Spa is the usual higher priced services, but the couples massage was worth it for us. It just adds to the vacation and the ladies did a wonderful job. I would recommend skipping the hair conditioning treatment though as they just use basic hair conditioner from a low brand from any store and put it in your hair for 20 minutes. It was not worth the price.

The photographers were plentiful and were able to capture our memories throughout the trip. We were very happy and bought many photos! It is nice to have someone outside of our group to capture our fun.

Overall, we had such a wonderful trip to Beaches Negril. We recommend it to all those seeking an amazing family friendly vacation.

We went to Beaches to celebrate my daughter’s high school graduation. We were supposed to go to the Turks and Caicos location. When that didn’t open we asked for a refund but Beaches refused to give us one which soured is on the company right away, since they were the ones cancelling, not us. Instead they offered to switch us to their Negril location, which we were hesitant about since it is so much smaller but for some reason the same cost. However, we accepted mainly so my daughter could get some sort of celebration. The resort is very pretty and our room was nice, comfortable and spacious. However, housekeeping was a joke. They didn’t come almost every day until close to 5 pm when we were already in the room getting ready for dinner, so it basically only got cleaned twice during our week long stay. And they only showed up for turn down service once. We had a concierge room and the concierge did nothing for us. The few things we asked them to do never happened unless we called multiple times. The food in the restaurants was fine but not gourmet as advertised. Kimono’s was especially disappointing. My daughters and I are pescatarians, which we told them. But they won’t let you order something specific there. They just give everyone the same amount of beef, chicken, shrimp, and fish. If you don’t eat the beef and chicken you’re left with 4 tiny shrimp and 2 bites of shrimp. And when we said something about it they just looked like they had no idea what we were talking about. We did really enjoy the sushi place Soy though. They also were out of a lot of things - just small inconveniences but it was weird they were out the whole time we were there - like the yogurt sauce for the fruit plate at Stew Fish, Ricotta Cheese at the pizza place, none of the specialty ice cream sandwiches at Le Paris were available for some reason no one could ever explain to us other than something was broken. One of the mallets and a ball were missing from the Croquet set and when we called to ask about it no one seemed to know what we were talking about. Finally all the paddle boards were broken except one. Not sure if Covid had something to do with the fact that they couldn’t replace anything or get certain supplies, but I expected a lot more from Beaches. Overall we had a good time because we were together and the beach is lovely, but it was definitely not worth the hefty $12,000 price tag. I was not impressed with Beaches at all.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. At Beaches Resorts, we aim to create an ideal Caribbean vacation experience for the entire family, so it saddens us to note that it sounds like you were not pleased with your stay. We understand that a consistently attentive level of service is vital to the success of our operation, and it is our belief that based on the numerous positive reviews and responses we elicit, we are usually successful in our endeavor to provide each guest with service consistent with our 5-star rating. If you felt like your experience was not in line with the norm however, then we sincerely apologize as it is never our intention to make any guest feel less than treasured. We were surprised to note that some of the food served was not to your expectations. This aspect of our operation is usually considered exceptional and very often receives compliments from our guests. We therefore regret if you were not similarly impressed. Please rest assured that we always aim to respond to feedback both in word and in deed. Going forward, we hope that you would allow us the opportunity to demonstrate this during a future stay and in so doing, restore your faith in our resort family.

We flew out to Jamaica from London with some trepidation. 2020 has been a horrid year for everyone worldwide and we weren’t sure if we would be helping by supporting tourism or hindering the many and varied confusing lockdown rules. We arrived into Montego Bay to strict Covid protocol (PPE hazmat suits, temperature taking) but overall a gratitude for the tourism. The hotel, Beaches Negril, couldn’t have had a warmer welcome. They were professional, happy and above all took the Covid protocols very seriously. Hand gel before entering any room, face masks mandatory on all staff but optional for guests. But hand gel mandatory for everyone, non negotiable. Weather was gorgeous, room was stunning. Staff make the beaches experience so special, from Orlando the life guard who gave my 12 yr old advice on what sports he should try, Akeem the dive instructor, who ensured the diving was awesome despite the lingering effects of the last hurricane, to Turay the Kiminos chef on his first night as a chef (he was brilliant despite being really nervous!) Vanessia the head waitress at the main buffet. You can really tell that Beaches treat their staff well it shows in their care for everything and everyone. Highly recommend. If you dive and like water sports, drinking cocktails and want a variety of restaurants this resort gives you the best bang for buck by far. Don’t forget to support the local traders too, with a bracelet or two, 2020 has been a tough year for everyone.

I came to beaches negril from July 15th-July 21st and cried on my way out because of how much fun I had. Every single staff member was extremely friendly and welcoming, and some even became friends and added my family on social media on our way out. They went above and behind to accommodate, remembered our names, and would randomly come to just check up on us or say hi. There is a small pool where they write out sayings with rocks, so we requested for it to say “Happy Birthday DawnMarie” for my sisters birthday. We scheduled it for to be there Saturday and they accidentally put it down for Sunday which we didn’t mind at all and made no difference to us. However, they gave it to us for no charge at all for the inconvenience even though we didn’t even complain. Besides being a beautiful resort that’s right on the beach, it was very welcoming and a family-like environment. It is all inclusive but there are so many fun excursions that are worth the money. I went on a boat where they took us to a cave to swim in, and a place where we could cliff dive all while watching the sunset. The two men driving the boat provided drinks, sang and danced with us, and made it so much fun. We happened to visit during the pandemic and we did not doubt for a second that many precautions were being taken. The staff were all wearing masks and we were requiring to sanitize and physically distance often. The food was very good and I didn’t have any bad experiences with any of the restaurants. My sister has a gluten allergy which we told them about when we checked in, and for the whole trip, every restaurant we went to was aware and made sure everything she ate was fully gluten free. They took her allergy VERY seriously. I highly recommend visiting overall!

We recently returned from our annual family vacation to Beaches Negril. This was our 7th visit to what we now consider to be our second home! So lets be honest, we obviously love it and have booked to go back for our 8th visit in 2021. There are many things to love about Beaches from the delicious food, the beautiful scenery and grounds to the most friendliest and welcoming people that you could ever meet. We consider them to be an extension of our family.
We would like to recognize a number of staff that made our vacation even better than all the previous years; Hilroy, Lucine and Krystal from the concierge department are one of a kind, they went above and beyond to honour any request that we had with smiles on their faces. Our most favourite servers are Kerry-Ann and Marjorie Ann, we actually request them each time that we are there to be our servers for the whole week, they are exceptional at what they do and always anticipate our next request before we even make it...amazing. We would also like to send a special thanks to Errol, Philip, Roy, Conray and Carol from The Mill, Astina from Dino's always made sure our pizzas were on point. Ivan and Vinetta from the pool in front of the Mariachi were always making sure that everyone was safe. The room staff included Stacey-Ann, Patricia and Simroy, they always had our rooms spotless and were so pleasant to talk to, last but not least we'd like to thank the Management team of Mr.Faith and Mr.Issaac, they were always walking the grounds making sure that everything was perfect for their guests.
We also loved to go into the Resort shop multiple times a day, Belinda and her staff were always so welcoming and helpful and you never felt pressured to buy anything but we always ended up leaving the store with something LOL.
We did miss the mini golf that used to be in front of block 400/500, the kids always loved to play mini golf when they took a break from the pools and slides. We hear that there may be a bowling alley to come in the next year, that is super exciting and we hope that it is done by our next visit.
We went to the Sesame show every evening and even though our kids are older we enjoyed the shows none the less, they entertain all ages. My 75 year old dad has not mastered the dino dance...priceless LOL.
The Michael Jackson show on Saturday night was spectacular, it felt like you were attending a real MJ concert. Can't wait to see it again next year.
Until next time Beaches...the Alli's.

We went for our yearly trip right after Thanksgiving and stayed from Friday till Saturday. We had a 2 bedroom butler room in the Savannah building. The rooms were on the 2nd floor and were renovated. The room was a great location for our family. Tthey do need more butler rooms at this resort as with only 6 rooms it's hard to book and you need to book 2-3 years in advance to ensure you get the room you want.

Our butler Conrad and Novia were incredible. They were able to get us lobster at Stewfish 3 nights in a row. We each had a lobster tail the one night and on our last night they brought us 3 lobster tails each which was not what we expected but they always go over the top when we are there. This is our 3rd year that we had them as butlers and they have become like family to us. Our son who is now 6 loves them and is comfortable walking with them by himself now.

the resort is smaller than compared to Beaches Turks and Caicos but we love the size as our 6 year old can walk around without getting lost and the staff at this resort does keep an eye on the kids. They are so much better than at Turks. The life guards who are at the waterpark are incredible and a huge asset to this resort. Many times we have seen them going down the slides with the kids in the small waterpark and also in the lazy river. You can tell they really enjoy what they do and they love the kids. The kids tend to listen to them too.

The food choices are ok here but they could use a few more various restaurants and more plant based options for vegetarians as some of the Sandals resorts are starting to do. Our favorite restaurant is Soy. Best service as the staff there knew us after the first night. Stewfish is great for breakfast and dinner options instead of the buffet. The service is slower than back home but relax you are on island time. No need to rush to go anywhere. They do need more options for lunch as after a few days you do get sick of eating the same thing.

We got to meet the General Manager, Gary Williams and he is incredible. He joined us for breakfast the one morning at Stewfish. We got to spend a good hour with him that morning. Hes a great down to earth guy.

We are booked to go back here for 2020, 2021 and 2022. We love it here and prefer it over turks. Yes it is a lot different than turks but you aren't spending the money here as compared to turks. We can't wait to go back home in a few months again!

Room Tip: Rooms in the Savannah are great location as they are central to everything.

We just returned from a amazing week at Beaches Negril last week. DON'T BE AFRAID TO TRAVEL!!! Everyone at at resort was 100% masked, constantly reminding guests to sanitize, room and entire resort was spotless. Staff was incredibly friendly and warm and inviting. Even during a time when tourism is low and they are struggling to keep their business afloat- they were all amazing.! Resort was about 25% full which was great for us as made us feel like we had a private hotel. Special shout out to Fabian and Alex at Watersports as they took us snorkeling multiple times and even came in ocean with us to give our kids a "hands-on" experience touching starfish and sea urchins.. We did a private boat trip with them to Ricks cafe and Fabian came into water to make sure everyone was safe as the swells were large that day. They were amazing and we all felt comfortable with them on our adventure. Food at resort was great- the jerk chicken was delicious. Kimonos hibachi is a must to visit. I had a massage at spa which was very clean and wonderful. We met the nicest families there and our kids were never bored. After going to Beaches Turks and Caicos (7 times), I actually feel like Beaches Negril was more intimate and relaxed. Every night was a show or some kind of entertainment. Even with so little guests, they still put on the show!! I hope people start traveling more and consider going to this resort. I travelled with my husband and 2 kids ages 11 and 14.

We left on March 4th and there was construction but most of it including the noise was near the front main lobby. They did have the area blocked off so you had to go around the pool and the back side of the cafe to get to the lobby, concierge, or gift shop area but it wasn’t a far walk. I wouldn’t say it disrupted our vacation any and it wasn’t near any rooms from what I could see (def not near our room with was the furthest Santa cruz building ). It could also be all done by now. Restaurant reservations were very easy. Only 2 restaurants need reservations. Originally we just stopped at the front desk area and told them what restaurant we wanted what day and about what time and they booked us in. I went back on Saturday (day of our dinner reservation) to the concierge room and asked if they had reservations available for the following night to the 2nd restaurant and if not if they had a space for that night maybe we could switch which restaurant we are at. They were able to get us in for the following night so we did both restaurants and both were great. We ate a little earlier it seemed like (6) and it felt like we beat the rush of people. We were done eating and we could hangout for a bit before the nightly entertainment. I would recommend going to book your snorkel and glass bottom boat at 8 am for the next day. You do this at the water sports hut by the beach and they only book for the following day and booking starts at 8 am. Also if you want to reserve a beach cabana I would recommend doing that right when you arrive to ensure you get one during your stay. You can do this at concierge also. If travelling with younger kids I would recommend them getting involved in the entertainment teams daily activities. The team is amazing and so good with the kids! They earn points for winning & participation and hopefully by the end of your stay they earned enough for a prize! We had a blast and hope you enjoy your trip as much as we did!
