This was our seventh trip to Jamaica and our first trip to CoCo La Palm. Check in was quick and friendly, and we were shown to our room # 332 , ground floor, so it had a covered entranceway. A large room with two queen beds, table and four chairs,A.C. and ceiling fan. The windows are tinted so you have privacy in daylight hours and heavy curtains if you want almost total darkness to sleep during the day. There is a new electronic safe in the bathroom area which you can program by credit card or your own number. The room has fridge / freezer. Hairdryers are available from the front desk at no charge. A large tiled shower area with a dispenser for shampoo and body wash. Bar soap and Aloe supplied by the sink. There is a coffee machine and packets of sugar, sweeter and powdered milk . Everything in this hotel is clean and tidy ! The grounds here are cleaned all the time and the gardens are very well kept. On the beach there are plenty of loungers and lots of shade from the trees. The beach area is clean and tidy, towels are supplied by the lifeguards. Security is good and make sure you are not pressured by local people selling all the usual goods (remember they are trying to earn a living,be kind !) We gave in a credit card at the front desk on checking in and charged all drinks and food to our room, you can always pay as you go. All food and drink is marked in U.S.$. The food is very good and prepared to order at the bar and restaurant. We felt the prices are about the same as we pay at a restaurant/bar at home (Maine-USA). Across the road is a restaurant called The Best In The West which charges about the same as the hotel and is another dining experience. Just up the road ,turning left as you leave the hotel on the same side is a store selling everything you can think of! They wanted 48US$ for a bottle of Woodbridge white wine, when we said it was 18US in the U.S. they dropped it to that price, the same as a bottle of rum, so be prepared to barter a little ! For fear of leaving someones name off the list ,I will not mention any names in particular. All the bar and wait staff were kind and efficient,as were the reception staff. There was a small army of staff cleaning/painting all the time to make this hotel sparkle. I should mention there are paddle boards and various floats on the beach , kindly left by other people when they leave. The swimming area is very large and roped off with floats. The water is calm, clear and shallow, so its safe for small children, there is also a very nice pool in the middle of this property that was close to our room that has seats and umbrellas. There are also very clean toilets down on the beach by the bar/restaurant area. I should mention that our safe stopped working (dead battery) and maintenance were there in ten minutes (no charge( .I lost my room key/card and it was replaced at the front desk immediately (no charge) and I somehow managed to break the toilet seat lid and you guessed it. It was replaced very quickly (no charge)! If they will have us back again, we will see you all in 2023 ! One Love. Colin

Great location, beautiful beach front, lovely pool surrounded by tropical tress and plants. Restaurant food is 10/10. The staff members at the restaurant and bar are all great and helpful. The only thing to be aware is the wifi in the room is not strong. Strong everywhere by the pool, hallways, beach but not the rooms. Lifeguards are so sweet Security members are wonderful You will not regret staying here. I can’t wait to go back

After moving out of an awful hotel further down 7 mile beach. We booked into Coco la Palm & wow what a difference. We were made to feel welcome by the Reception team & immediately felt relaxed. Our room wasn't ready as we arrived around 11am, we couldn't wait to leave the last place. Our cases were taken care of & we were told to make use of the facilities until it was ready at approx 3pm. We strolled down to the beach bar & was immediately greeted by Keeki who then quickly arranged for us to have beach towels so we could relax on the plentiful sunloungers. Within half an hour a member of staff came to find us to take us to our room which incredibly was ready! Our bags were in the room already, superb service. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated with air con & fan, a large bathroom with large shower & hot water (a relief after the "hotel" we had just left). We also had a balcony/terrace which was lovely. There was a coffee maker, fridge safe & flatscreen TV & loads of storage. Even an iron & board was in there. Our room was serviced every single day, just brilliant. We had the most relaxing 11 nights, the staff were so friendly & accommodating especially Keeki & Martino at the bar. The restaurant staff were efficient & courteous & the continental breakfast served each day was superb. The dinner menu was excellent. Right on the beach with security watching over the guests we felt safe, secure & totally relaxed, thank you Coco la Palm, we will definitely return 😀

It was my first time staying at Coco La Palm -- my family has stayed multiple times. Even though I thought the bathroom could've been alot nicer, the overall room and covered patio was a nice touch. Love the landscape and overall layout of the property - neat and cleanly kept I really enjoyed the breakfast at Marley's - the staff was great. Lunch down at the Grill was amazing, Shout out to Dillon who is not only attentive but has the best personality for entertaining! Overall great place to stay in Negril.

We stayed at Coco’s in May 2022. There was myself, my husband, our 20 years old son and his girlfriend. We have been to Jamaica many times and to Negril four times, but this was our first stay at Coco. I was looking for a place on seven mile beach that wasn’t hugely expensive as we were bringing my son and his girlfriend….and this was perfect. First the rooms. We stayed in room 321 which had two queen beds …it’s sometimes called a superior or deluxe depending on the booking site. It was very roomy with a big bathroom. We also had a nice covered patio which came in handy when we needed to use the internet as we had a stronger signal outside. The kids had a deluxe with one king. They were on the second floor by the smaller pool. We had two problems with the rooms. I couldn’t get hot water out of our shower…called the front desk they sent someone over right away…turns out we had a bit of a finicky tap and had to move it just a little bit to get hot and we were turning it too far. Easy fix. The maintenance guy and I laughed about it. The kids had a bigger problem…they had no water for a day. As I understand it there was some labour problems outside of the resort that caused this..but information could have been conveyed better by the resort …even if it was just to say what was going on. I don’t hold it against the resort but they could have done something ..like a free dinner to apologize for the inconvenience. The beach. The resort is situated on a great part of the beach. Lots of shade, never an issue getting a lounger. Beach staff, especially security were great…very polite and helpful. This is really why you go. We were never bothered by people selling things. We bought Pattie’s and fruit juice but if we didn’t want something a polite no thanks always worked. The pools were nice …hardly anyone in them as you have a beautiful warm ocean..but I did swim in them to say I did …they were both clean and warm. Food and drinks. Breakfast was a delight. You got a free continental breakfast which consisted of muffins etc. But you can get a full breakfast and you get a $5 credit for not having the continental one. For example two eggs, bacon, potatoes toast is $12 - $5 = $7 for a big breakfast…oh a you get hot fresh banana bread…yum. Lunch at the beach bar is pub grub ..but very tasty and not overpriced. The fish and chips with some jerk sauce on the side was a favourite. We ate dinner there a few times and everyone enjoyed their meals. We also went out for dinner. Big shout out to Best of the West, Pushcart, Miss Lilly’s ( wow the ribs there were incredible..I highly recommend them) The staff. In general the staff were great. The restaurant staff were always attentive and polite. As I mentioned security was great. I had some great chats with the grounds keepers as they were updating some plants near our room. The front desk left me a little underwhelmed….Air Canada lost my bag …not the resorts fault…but they didn’t really help us …I’m sure this happens all the time, they must have some experience of what to expect…but they really just said they don’t know. If they gave out say toothbrushes and tooth paste to tide you over..that little thing would go a long way to giving a superior customer experience. I corresponded with one of the other guest on the Coco Facebook page…and met her and her husband while we were there. She gave me a razor and offered a comb as I didn’t have either and that really touched me. In general the guests are great..great place to meet new people. All in all I would definitely go back and recommend it to people looking for a nice, clean mid range resort on the best part of the beach…where the people, both staff and other guests make it a memorable vacation.

Have been been to Negril many times and this March decided to stay at Coco LaPalm for this trip. Did an 8 night stay In a standard king room which was perfect as it was used mainly for sleep and showering. Room and the bed were very comfortable. The room was on the second floor with a small table and chairs to enjoy. The Location to the beach is great and the whole the resort was fantastic. Breakfast @ Marleys was a great way to start the day And then off to explore. It was an excellent stay and will definitely spend more with them

Right from getting off the bus at the start of our stay we were impressed. We realized quickly that my husband's suitcase had been left on the bus and it was gone, CocoLaPalm greeter Dennis helped us quickly figure out to call the bus back and our suitcase was returned. The tropical walk to our room was beautiful. The room was very clean as was the entire property. The food was great and so were the wait staff. We were impressed by their honesty in finding discrepancies in charges and correcting them always. The location of the resort was great for walking the seven-mile beach as it is pretty much in the middle. Will definitely go back!

We chose this resort based on so many good reviews and advice from people on the Trip Advisor forum. We had originally booked at the Azul and are so glad we switched to Coco. As a matter of fact we probably spent more money than at an AI but had so much fun being in the middle of 7 mile and experiencing different restaurants and bars, meeting locals and other guests. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a junior suite on the 2nd floor with 2 queen size beds, a huge bathroom, fridge with bar sink and counter top, a massive balcony and a lovely Jamaican feel with a wooden vaulted ceiling. The resort is small and so close to the beach which we loved. The grounds are lovely and very well maintained. The majority of the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We ate at the restaurant a few times and the food and service were excellent. We enjoyed the happy hour from 5 to 7 every day. There was lots of shade on the beach and plenty of sunloungers. Coco is on a great section of the beach and we enjoyed walking both ways on the beach every day. We met people who were staying at Charela Inn and Sandy Haven that typically stay at Coco but couldn't because it was full. However they continued to eat there. Great to know that tourism is finally picking up for Jamaica! Would highly recommend Coco la Palm and would go back for sure! If on a budget you could definitely reduce expenses by eating the Continental breakfast included, drinking your own alcohol, having a patty for lunch and eating at Best of the West for dinner. We did all those things and so much more!
