Detailed Reviews
We stayed in Room 16, Sweet Cup, for nine nights in late February, 2020. Couples trip.
We really liked the hotel. Nice and small property but has everything you need. Pools are both small but the one across the road is better and usually quiet. It was very quiet at night in general here and we were happy we picked a room on the ocean side.
Perfect location on a great part of the beach and easy access to lots of restaurants. Our favourites were Coletta's, Best in the West, and Sweet Spot across the road, and Kuyaba and Skylark on the beach were great too. We had the best jerk pork from the guy on the beach and the second best from the interesting guys next door at Six Flags one evening.
Staff were gracious and welcoming and wonderful. We loved Donna (? I think was her name, I'm getting old!) our housekeeper and Delroy the bartender who is obviously very popular as are their thrice-weekly happy hours.
Food at the hotel restaurant was quite good if a bit pricier than other comparable places. Service was a bit hit and miss but we experienced the same almost everywhere in Negril. Just a bit slower and more indifferent than our usual experience with service in Mexico. It was really handy that there is a crosswalk right at this hotel- the only one on the main part of the strip.
Our room was spacious and had a tv with lots of cable channels and a fridge- a coffee maker would also have been nice. Bathroom was nice and big with the toilet and shower in a separate room with a door from the sink. A/C worked well. This room is not ideal if you are against walking up three flights of stairs, so be aware.
All in all Rondel was almost perfect and we would definitely stay there again!

Our 1st post-Covid trip was a wedding at Rondel Village! Amazing, my mom and best man had the beach side villas, the space was amazing for these luxuary rooms with an at home feeling. The rooms was fully equipped for a customized stay with stove, fridge, microwave and all the amenities. Rooms were very spacious as had in total 3. The service was customized as well as the restaurant and bar who customized drinks and food to taste. The grounds were manicured and privacy was never an issue. Plenty of activities from the beach so excursions was never an issue. Quite honestly we felt the family at Rondel Village would have done anything to make our stay as if we lived there. The WiFi speed was fast enough for Zoom meetings with confidence although we did not actually do face time as we did not want coworkers to see our surrondings.
The wedding experience was one of a kind! the food was amazing and the staff with management on-site during wedding ensured our dream wedding went off without any glitches. All arrangements was made while we were in USA with only minimal last minute details worked out during our stay of 5 nights.
Quite honestly I have no complaints, I felt as though we had a private butler.
When we return to Negril this will be our first option. Central location with easy access to all the essentials of Negril.
The Rondel Team is open to customizing your stay, so do not be hesitate to ask about your individual needs!

I travel a ton for work and leisure. I am very particular at finding clean, comfortable and safe accommodations as I often travel alone - single professional female. Each time I am in Negril and just need a clean, comfortable, low key stay close to the beach and night life, I always book a room at Rondel Village. The family that owns the property along with the hospitable staff always make my stay memorable. Great food, breakfast, happy hour and fritters. This place has everything - plunge pools, beach access, clean accommodations and always great prices. I can't say enough about this property. Unlike many properties on the beach, they are flexible, friendly and ALWAYS willing to go above and beyond for their guests.

A very nice property in a great location with owners on-site, nice rooms, great staff (especially housekeeping - Portia and Donna). This was our 10th time there over the years.
Noticeable improvements since our last stay with new furniture and appliances in the 1 bedroom suites, adding to convenience allowing for some light cooking / meals / blended drinks.
Only reason for not 5 stars is the restaurant on property. Tried many times, Very Disappointed as just not up to par with surrounding restaurant options especially when price is about same as some of the big names. Its nice when they have some entertainment, but in the 5 times we ate there no one was happy with their meal, and service was just ok, a couple times downright terrible.
Bar is good when Delroy is there, superior bartender and great guy.
Many other food options nearby, not going to list them here but suffice to say a little research and walking is well rewarded.
Adding to the great location is it is next door is the Famous and Historic "Boat Bar" with a great band Monday/Wednesday/Friday, and behind the bar is Pat's Beauty Booth, one of the remaining historic pure aloe massage ladies who at this point is a legend.
Beach is well supervised by lifeguard "Duran" who kept our spot of 6 chairs and 2 umbrellas safe and had it set up and ready for us everyday, and was happy with just a small tip to reward his extra efforts for our family.
Of course we highly recommend the property and will be back again, just hoping for something from the restaurant to warrant a true 5 star review for the entire place.

This was my 4th time staying at Rondel Village since 2014. I keep returning because of the location (directly on the beautiful beach), and professional, friendly service. During this visit, it was very evident that the rooms are in serious need of an update. Others have noted that the rooms are outdated, and I hope that management reads these reviews and will act upon the recommendation. Rondel Village is a special and unique place because it's locally owned and in general, the staff makes every effort to ensure guests have an enjoyable experience. It would be a shame to have to consider other hotels if the rooms are not updated to reflect the needs of current guests, not those from many years before.
My husband and I stayed in the Orange room. Overall, it was clean and spacious. However, I noticed the following areas that need attention:
The desk chair was extremely dirty and needs to be replaced. I dropped something on it and used a Clorox wipe to clean it, however, when I looked at the wipe, it was black with dirt! After using 2 more wipes to try to clean the seat, it was still dirty.
The shower/bath should be replaced with a shower only. In the meantime, replacing the plastic slip mat that looks like it has been there since the property was built would be a welcomed improvement.
The telephone didn't work for the entirety of our stay. I brought it to the attention of the front desk associate on the 2nd day of our stay but nothing was done. Had there been an emergency where we needed to contact the front desk/housekeeping, we wouldn't have been able to use the phone.
No wastepaper basket/ garbage bin in the bedroom area. There was 1 small garbage bin in the sink area and bathroom, however, they could only hold small amounts of paper. One takeout container filled the bin in the sink area.
The wall outlet behind the desk was loose to the point that it couldn't hold a plug and charge devices. The other outlet was located behind the bed, which was quite inconvenient.
It was important to highlight the above areas, however, we didn't allow those flaws to spoil our visit. We really enjoyed our stay at Rondel, which was helped by the professionalism of two staff members in particular: Delroy at the bar and lifeguard, Duran.
Rondel Village management: I sincerely hope you address the issues so that it can continue to be a quality hotel and provide excellent customer service.

Initially I was a little disappointed because it was small and the pools were not what I was accustomed to. However, my disappointment quickly changed to being very happy. As our room was very clean, the shower had excellent water pressure, the beach was very nice, the life guard will set up your chairs. The restaurant is ok not the best but certainly not the worst. The location is great within walking distance to several local restaurants and beach bars. The Boat Bar is right next door and has live music frequently. Staff were very professional and our housekeeper, Donna was amazing. I would stay again and this time try a villa that has a mini kitchen to save money on going out to eat. The property is well maintained with beautiful plants. One critique is walking in the sand to the restaurant and bar. During the day it is fine but a walkway for the evening would be nice.

We stayed at Rondel Village in January 2023. The rooms and grounds were immaculate and the location is very convenient with most everything you could want within walking distance or a short taxi ride. There is a restaurant, Jaybirds, on the beach in front of the hotel with great food, staff and entertainment. Duran was our life guard and hustled after what we needed and went above and beyond to make our stay in Jamaica amazing!

it was our anniversary trip, when we arrived they had a sign on the bed with flowers saying Happy Anniversary that was a wonderful gesture upon our arrival. we had a nice view of the pool. the room was always cleaned and made up so nice! great maid service. the only disappointment was we had asked them to get back to us to upgrade to the beachfront villa and no one ever did! This was our second time at the Rondell Village. we enjoyed talking with duran on the beach, he always was attentive in getting our chairs or anything needed. loved the resorts happy hour Delroy was a great bartender he always took care of us & everyone who came to the bar. we enjoyed the return guest party from the owner & staff members. they are all amazing. thank you

Great location on beach, stayed in 2 bed cottage beachside but nearest the road. The road can get loud and the nearby jungle club can be heard. The road and loud music would have disturbed us immensely in normal circumstances but we did not have any problems at all.
The property had everything we needed and was cleaned daily. We even had our own jacuzzi which we enjoyed. Our kitchen did not have much space to cook, a big meal I think may have been a problem. There were no mugs just tiny tea cups so I went out and bought our own. The double beds in one bedroom were smaller than expected more like a large single in uk standard.
Duran on the beach was very helpful when getting you set up for a day on the beach, looked out for and was very helpful making sure my 83 year old mother in law was kept comfortable in shade of a parasol.
The restaurant was good for a couple of meals.
Delroy in the bar was a great bartender, good spot for getting to know fellow guests.
As we were staying 2 weeks over Christmas and new year there was entertainment a few nights. The New Year’s Eve buffet was fantastic although for us an hour after it started was quite empty, it was not replenished so get there at start.
We had best New Year’s Eve there.
Highly recommend Flag city not far from Rondel those boys cook up the best lobster dinner I ever tasted. Soft and sweet.
Thank you all at Rondel we had a great holiday.

We thought this place would be great. Staff was super unfriendly and extremely slow at check in. While the resort was empty (as in we saw no people and empty rooms) they put our two families across the busy street at the very end of the resort on the very top floor. Dogs barking, and did not feel very safe or like any place you would pay to stay on vacation. Kids did not want to stay here at all. Yes the bar up front is ok, but we were far from that. Did not sleep well. A little creeped out by this place.

Yes, nice towels. If they are in your room when they clean, they will replace them if on the floor. If at the beach with them, you can ask the lifeguard for new ones.
We have used Next Level Jamaica tours before and they provided excellent service and prices
Sorry for the late reply but there are dedicated security guards at both sides and they always help with crossing.
Beachside & across street {garden) possible.
