This place seemingly has been the playground for the rich, elites of Jamaica. Because of this, they were catered to throughly while the rest of the guests like me and my family waited for hours to be served our breakfast. Upon pointing this out to one waitress, she exclaimed that these families have been coming to this place for years. To make matters worse, I reported all this to the manager, Monique Mulai and she completely threw her staff under the bus saying that they only go above and beyond when they are tipped. So my retort was, how can you assume that I did not tip? She was awful. I was disappointed in her response as a leader. Anyhow, Zelma and Lee were outstanding hosts but other than that, the resort was very discriminatory and blah. There are so many other affordable options with much better service on the 7 mile beach.

Cute little cottages with porch, right on the beach. Only abt 30 rooms and enough space at the beach and breakfast (banana pancakes & -bread are Amazing). Not too much luxuary, but clean and airconditioned. If you like silence, bring earplugs, the music from the bar or other hotels and especcially the frogs are loud!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at County County! Our room was a bit loud, and at first I was worried about how well we'd sleep at night, but the ambient night sounds (frogs, crickets, etc) drowned out any extra noise from the road and nearby Margarita Ville... mostly. The restaurant staff were lovely (Teri-Ann is a super star!) and the Jamaican breakfasts were so good. Obi and Andres at the bar are awesome, and the beach was relaxing and felt secure. The rooms at the hotel are definitely on the worn down side, and sometimes there weren't any beach towels, but overall I really liked Country County and would love to stay again.

Just returned from Country Country with my two teenage sons. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Hot water and AC were plentiful. Hotel is on beautiful stretch of beach with ample chairs and umbrellas. We ate several meals at the hotel and food was excellent at each one. What keeps me from giving a better review was the lack of service and friendliness from the staff- especially at reception. The hotel uses “what’s app” to communicate with guests. I tried sending a message with questions/needs a few times and NONE of them were answered. I mentioned this to the office and the response was that they only have one line, so it must have been busy. What??!! The lack of response necessitated numerous walks to the office. It seemed that the workers at the hotel are new and that there is a lack of management. No one seems to be in charge of overseeing staff. The staff was very lackluster. If they can improve the service, then they have potential to have a higher rating. Service was just very lacking .

The management does not manage the property, apparently. I'm still awaiting an email back from over three weeks ago. They offered to give a refund of $150 before we left due to three nights of zero sleep, as a group of 19 people came in and made it Country-Party-All-Night-Long-Swingers-Club. Since we had already paid our bill, I thought I would deal with it when we got home since the driver was waiting for us so that we could leave for the airport and the management was dealing with someone else who was upset and leaving after only one night. Upon arriving back to Canada, we were told by management that they were "not responsible for other guests behaviour, but they had banned the group". Honestly, we signed waivers when we arrived at Country Country, and they should have done something to manage this situation while it was happening. This is terrible management, and I have read that others have also been treated unfairly/ badly by management. It's unfortunate because our trip cost us a lot of money, and banning guests only serves them, not their customer that should have their experience remediated and rectified. Although we had originally thought that we would go back to Country Country, the experience was so dismissive and disrespectful that we could not possibly do so now. We were recommended by family friends who go there each year, and it is unfortunate that they will lose multiple groups of customers now due to bad customer service. I would be willing to discuss the situation, but they have not been willing, and have disregarded their responsibility, which is irresponsible and not upholding the dignity and safety of their customers. Our final day, we were told by a staff member that there would be an all night long party, which stressed us out after a few loud days. I told him that I hoped he was joking. That night we had to move to a room that was cheaper than what we paid, at 10 pm (before they closed), because they set up a DJ in front of our room. There was screaming for three nights and the last night was outrageous. Another customer was terrified to leave her room because in the room next door there were chains being banged and screaming until 4 am. I have travelled to over thirty countries and I have never experienced this disregard or a hotel ignoring a simple request to discuss and remediate what had happened. I have stayed in hostels to five stars, and truly it was shocking and left me feeling exhausted and robbed of an experience when I returned home. We have had to remind ourselves that we had a good first few days, as we came home feeling exhausted, frustrated, and sad. This was the first time that we travelled in two and a half years, as Canada has had pretty strict lockdowns and border restrictions. It was disheartening to be treated as such. I spent $2200 CDN dollars for our room for the week. We will return to Negril Beach, but not here. There are many options on the beach, some for a lot for less money or others around the same, but with better service. Skylark is a nice accommodation and treats you well.

I've been to Negril twice before and I've always been enchanted with Country Country's rustic cottages and I'm so glad to have finally stayed. As other reviewers have said, it is rustic meaning hurricane shutters so little bugs can make their way in and you can hear the lizards (we were told) chirping very loudly most of the night. It's like you are in a jungle. We had a lot of small bites by the end of the week so make sure you bring mosquito repellant. It's not a hotel or resort like Sandals or Beaches so you will be closer to nature for sure. We asked for the sheets to be changed halfway through because of all the sand we were dragging in. When you arrive in Montego Bay, you'll need to hire a ride to Negril, which takes about 1 1/2 hours. Our arranged driver charged $70 each way for the two of us. Most are more than happy to stop along the way to purchase anything you want for your stay. Grab some beers for the drive if that's your thing. There is a bar just outside of the terminal. I would suggest that you have your arrangements done before you arrive so you don't have to deal with the myriad of people offering you a ride and the transport company will most likely arrange for your pick up at the end of your trip, so one less thing to worry about. BRING LOTS OF CASH!! I can't stress that enough. There is Jamaican money but everyone takes dollars and almost everything you do will be paid in cash from the parasailing trips to scuba to the souvenirs on the beach to the tips, tips, and more tips. We brought double what we needed because I didn't want to deal with ATMs. Country Country had amazing food. Breakfast was included and the all-day menu and dinner menus were terrific. Guests kept telling us to go next door because that restaurant was great but we didn't like it and found "our" place much better. The staff was very nice. The weather when we were there was absolutely perfect. The air and water temps were unbelievable and we found ourselves in our bathing suits 99 percent of the time. There is no need to dress up for dinner since you are still on the beach so just pack flip flops, a suit, and a cover-up and you will be just fine. My wife packed half her wardrobe and 10 pairs of shoes and ended up going barefoot in her bikini everywhere we went. You just don't need a lot. We took a $20 cab (each way) to Ricks one day. It was ok but make sure if you go, to stop by LTU, a small bar/grill right next door. Amazing views and great food and not as huge or commercialized as Ricks. You can sit right on the edge of the cliff there. The beaches are public so there are A LOT of people hocking you for smoke and this or that and they are a little pushy but in the end, if you gently say no enough, they will give you a fist bump and be on their way. It was a bit annoying, however. If you made eye contact, you were screwed! lol. All the locals were very kind so don't be worried about that. Everything closes up at 9:00 pm so hopefully, you'll be ready for bed after a fun day or break out the games you brought with you! I would avoid cottage 516 if possible. It's nice, like the rest, but the location is not great. On one side is the pool some kids swam most of the time and right behind the cottage was the restaurant where people sat to eat and staff sat if no one was around. You can hear them and they can DEFINITELY hear you (I hope they got that squeaky bed fixed!). Oh, and the walk-in Covid test center is a 5-minute walk from Country Country and was $40 cash per person. Results are emailed within 2 hours and the reception will print them up for you. Enjoy!

We had a great 5 night stay at Country Country. Breakfast was included and we enjoyed it each morning. Especially the banana pancakes and omelets. Our room was rustic, clean and comfortable. We wanted a small boutique place to stay and were so happy we chose to stay here. We spent several days just lounging on their beach, the bar makes delicious drinks (dirty banana was my fav) and the red stripes were cold. We found the staff kind and welcoming. Due to covid they have a laundry basket you put outside your room daily for fresh towels along with your garbage can. After 4 nights, we had tracked in a bit of sand into the bed and I asked them if they could clean our room and make our bed with clean sheets for our last night and they happily obliged. We had lunch one day at Country Country - Jerk Chicken quesadilla and jerk chicken wings and both were tasty. We tended to go to the West End or walk down the beach for dinner every night. It was a great stay and we are looking forward to returning next year.

I do not have one complaint about this facility. The beach was beautiful, perfect location in the middle of everything, staff was incredible and complimentary breakfast was good way to start the day. I don't do the all inclusives anymore because I enjoy checking out other restaurants and bars. Maybe it was the ganja but I left my suitcase in the lobby and didn't realize it until we got to the airport. They arranged to have another taxi meet our taxi driver half way to get my luggage to me on time. Yeah it cost me a few extra bucks but it was an absolute priority for them to get the luggage to me.

Just spent a few days at Country country with our family Despite being in the middle of lockdown we had such an amazing time. The rooms are lovely and well cared for. Towels etc changed Breakfast was included and we all really enjoyed it. What can I say about walking out straight onto the beach - so beautiful and peaceful. The price was spot on as well for accommodation in such an excellent location. We will definately be back this is a wee jewel of a place in a wonderful location
