Stayed here 2 weeks ago with 20 people, it was an excellent experience and my first non inclusive resort stay in Negril. The staff were very inviting and friendly. The property is very lush and feels comfortable even with all the rooms full. The rooms are dated but clean and the price reflects that. On-site restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced. (Breakfast included) Beach bar is a great hang with $4.50usd red stripe. Close to everything, Hi-Lo across the street. Tip your housekeepers and waiters!

Hotel's Favorite
It’s not an all inclusive resort. It’s a boutique hotel with about 20 beach cabins. Clean, tidy, cold A/C, high shower pressure, super accommodating and friendly staff, 60 second walk to beach. The entire hotel seemed to know each other since we all met at the hotel’s beach bar in the evening. It’s perfect. If you’re not looking for a massive resort for all the reasons none of us do - pick this place. You won’t regret it.

A wonderful Jamaican experience! Not your glitzy hotel but definitely a top notch property! The accommodations are unique! Well appointed and clean! Less quests and feels very private. On seven mile beach and a short walk to many restaurants and bars. The restaurant is small but with changing items on the menu. Presented well and cooked perfectly. The service and staff were amazing and as good as any large famous hotel chain. The bar is small but Jermaine made it a great place to hang out. Fancy drinks and any request were done with flair and great taste. The housekeeping staff were efficient, dedicated and friendly. Our wait staff was fantastic and we appreciated all of them but Camille was the best of the best!! What a wonderful person! Great personality and accommodated our every request! She should be employee of the year! The office and reservation staff are the best PR a resort can have! Shaneek and Johana are the best representatives and make a guest feel very important and anxious to come back. Nadine is the manager and is in charge and does a magnificent job. She is everywhere and always has time for everyone. Very impressive! I can't recommend Country Country enough if you want a fun, less hectic, relaxing and pampered vacation. We felt safe always and look forward to a return visit. MM from Michigan a diamond in the rough! Unique accommodations! Well appointed and CLEAN!

Beautiful resort. Great staff! Jerk chicken quesadillas are delicious! Rooms are spacious and grounds are lovely. The fridge and coffee pot in the room is a bonus. Beach has umbrellas and palm trees if you are seeking some shade. Can’t go wrong here!

Let me start by saying that I would rate this hotel 3 1/2 stars if I could. The staff is lovely, the beach is uncrowded, and the rooms are fine. The architecture and winding paths are charming. It has a quiet, almost elderly vibe that some might appreciate, but it was not for us. Note that if it’s quiet you’re looking for, the hotel is very close to Margaritaville, which blares music all day and into the night on Fridays. I’ll issue one more disclaimer, which is that we stayed at Coco LaPalm on our two previous trips, and my opinion is highly colored by a comparison. By far the most damning characteristic is the food. We did not eat any meals there other than the included breakfast, but that was enough to convince us not to purchase a meal. All breakfasts come with a fruit garnish. On two days we got a small rock hard banana that was inedible. There are banana trees everywhere, folks, so there’s simply no excuse for this. The papaya was good and the pineapple okay, but we also got hard melon of various sorts. The coffee was weak, and the bread made Wonder bread look like an artisanal product. The omelets were cooked correctly, but they were skimpily filled. For example, I asked for onion in my omelet on two occasions and I’m not sure I ever got a single piece. (Lest I forget, the bacon was uniformly excellent.) Moving on to the bar, the prices were on the high side, and though the bartender kindly added a free floater of rum on my pina colada, it was explicitly stated on the cocktail menu that this is an add-on charge. The bar plays roots reggae at a low volume, which is inoffensive, but let me stop and compare for a moment. Coco LaPalm includes a free continental breakfast which is more food than I can eat. We went for breakfast on our last morning, and it included 5 different fresh fruits, all at peak ripeness, along with a plate consisting of toast, a jam filled muffin, an apple turnover, banana bread, and a croissant. Heartier breakfasts are a small up-charge for guests. Dinner there, while not in the top ten restaurants in Negril, is perfectly good with a warm ambiance. I’ve never had a bad meal there. Cocktails are a few bucks cheaper, and six nights a week they have a 2 for 1 happy hour. Note that the pina coladas always had an extra float of rum, no need to ask. The bar is much livelier, and they play a mixture of old and new reggae at a volume that is not blasting, but is loud enough to enjoy while sitting anywhere on the beach. Their beach is definitely more crowded than Country Country’s, but it’s not wall to wall chaises. But back to Country Country… our room turned out to be a suite, with two bathrooms. It was huge. This was an unexpectedly pleasant surprise. Unfortunately the water pressure was poor, and while I like a firm mattress, this one was harder and less comfortable than a good futon. Let me end by saying that this is not a terrible hotel. The manager is on site and is attentive to guests’ needs, and if you’re a quiet person looking for a mostly quiet stretch of beach and you don’t care about the food, you’ll probably be happy with your stay here. For myself, I won’t be returning.

We stayed at the Country Country hotel for five nights and everything was perfect. It is a wonderful hotel with such friendly and helpful staff - special shout out to Camille and also to the Manager Nadine who always seemed to be available to offer help/recommendations. It is not a luxury hotel in any sense; more a collection of cottages and rooms - almost like being in a small, friendly village, and after one night it seemed that we knew all the staff and the other guests. As has probably been mentioned before, the bar and restaurant are both right on the beach and the whole ambience is one of calm and relaxation. Our breakfast was included and was a little limited, but the service and the view more than made up for that. And a bonus is there are some great bars and restaurants a short walk from the hotel along the beautiful beach - especially Allan's who has the best Jamaican patties. No doubts at all, when next we visit Negril, we will certainly be staying at the Country, Country.

Best birthday trip ever Words can’t describe this experience. This place is simple, but clean small and relaxing. The staff was impeccable. Customer service was the best I’ve seen in a long time. The food was about an 8 out of 10 dinner was amazing. Breakfast could use some small improvements overall I love this place and will definitely go back again .

We had never been to Jamaica before and we were very happy with our stay at Country Country. Honestly can't say anything bad, from the room, the beach area, free breakfast, and the list goes on. Highly recommend!! Loved the way the cabin/rooms are set. We were an upper level and absolutely loved it. Had a great view of the sea!

After multiple trips to Jamaica over the years and always staying at all-inclusives we decided to try County Country in Negril. We absolutely loved it. It is a small (35 rooms), quaint, intimate resort on 7 mile beach. We were there during slow season and they were not full so it felt like we met most of guests and staff during our stay; they were so nice; Denise, Renata, Smalling, Obi, Andre and of course Nadine, I know I am missing a few other names. The rooms are in small colorful cottages, some are individual cottages and some are part of a two or three story building. The rooms are simple and there are no screens or glass windows, rather shutters so you can hear the frogs, surf and bars at night (we never heard noise from the bar because the hotel was not full). The grounds were well kept and very clean. The beach is public, and every day there were people walking up and down offering souvenirs, massages, parasailing and of course weed (if you’ve ever been to Jamaica, this is no surprise). The restaurant was good, breakfast was included and I expected a continental breakfast however we were able to order off a menu so it wasn’t the same thing every day. The bar is right off the beach, and you can sit and enjoy a Red Stripe and watch the sunset. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, a couple on the beach, and some on the main road. My only critique would be the rooms looked like they could use a little updating, the towels were mismatched, the bed was not very comfortable and the shower looked old. However while we were there we saw the buildings being painted, and patios being repaired, so maybe they are working on some updates. I read in an earlier review that this was a ‘boutique’ hotel. In different countries that might mean something completely different. By US standards, I would say this is a 3 star property. Regardless of a few items mentioned, we absolutely loved this hotel and would come back again, it really gives you a true Jamaican vibe. On this trip we split our vacation between two hotels, and we ended up coming back to Country Country to visit with the staff before we flew home. 😊
