Detailed Reviews
My expectations were exceeded! In the past I had stayed at well known 5 star resorts and I was not really sure how my stay at Wag Water would live up to my previous stays in Jamaica. Wag Water was lovely and had a beautiful view of the sea. The best part of my stay was the staff. Chef Christopher was amazing and every bit of food that came out of his kitchen was excellent. Linden, the butler, was so attentive to our every need. He would refill glasses without being asked! And Lorna, the housekeeper was the stealth maid. While we had breakfast she would attend to our rooms and by the end of the meals our rooms were spotless. We never saw her cleaning but it was obvious she did! Everything was spotless. My only negative criticisms (and they are not really that negative) we twofold: The villa had some great art but some of the furnishings could be updated a bit and while you could walk down to the sea you could not really swim in it. All in all I would definitely go back. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed in Frangipani for a week, and I can't imagine ever having service better than what Greg and his team provided. He asked what we wanted for our meals, and we told him we wanted "real Jamaican food." One of traveling companions went a step further and asked him, "If you went to your Grandma's, what would she serve you?" His eyes lit up and he started naming a bunch of dishes. To which we said, "Yeah, we want THAT!" He didn't disappoint. During g the rest of the week, we had Jamaican curries for breakfast, he spoiled us with a mango tasting that included five varieties (you can only get Teo varieties in the States), and we had 6-8 dishes for which I can't remember the exact names, but he explained their history and ingredients, and they were all delicious. And every meal was served with a big smile and friendly conversation. Greg was possibly the nicest man I've ever met, and he was so helpful in recommending places to go, suggesting where to eat, and taking care of our every need. This place was absolutely five stars, and I've never been more relaxed after returning from a vacation.

I had planned my 50th birthday pre-covid and knew it was going to be in Jamaica. I wanted a place that would be able to accommodate my family and friends in close proximity.
A dear friend suggested I take a look at Prospect Villas. I did and we got in touch with them. Our stay at Wag Water, Eight Rivers and Frangipani was delightful, the management worked with me on an itinerary and menus for my guests and made the experience a pleasant one. The staff were friendly and polite.
The property is breathtakingly beautiful and is what you see in the pictures and more.

We are very grateful to have stayed at such a beautiful place. now let me tell u staying at a private villa in Jamaica with a private chef ,private butler, and private housekeeper, private pool and beautiful views was so amazing. we are now jamaica family. Auntie Lorna, Uncle Lindon, and Uncle /chef Kemar treated us like family. spotless living, amazing healthy food and Lindin kept the most funniest stories. I am forever grateful to have experience this with these beautiful souls. I will never stay at a resort ever again. thank you very much

We were blown away by our experience at Wag Water! The setting is perfect. A beautiful garden overlooking the ocean and pool. A huge mango tree graces the front lawn. We were able to completely relax and unwind. From the warm, welcome of Caren the Manager to the amazing team of Chris, Linten and Lorna.Their professionalism, warmth and attention to detail was evident throughout our stay. We have travelled the world , hence our expectations tend to be very high. They not only met but surpassed our expectations. The villa was spotless. We never dined anywhere else, as the food was delicious! They went over and above to meet our needs. We are already planning a return trip to Wag Water. This was not our first trip to Jamaica, but it was one of our best! We highly recommend Wag Water and cannot wait to return.

This place is the best place I have ever been for any holiday EVER! The people are totally amazing! Bailey, the chef, is the greatest chef of all time and with a personality larger than life! The Jamaican food was out of this world. His nick name is " Number 4" which is of course, his Football jersey number.
Floyd will get you whatever you need and is appropriately named " Magic man".
The housekeeper, Nicola is very sweet and keeps the place spotless , without even knowing that sher is there.
Daniel is also so polite and is very very good!
These people have a passion for what they do, and it really shows.

We just returned from a heavenly week at the Eight Rivers Villa at Prospect Plantation. I purchased the trip on an auction on luxurylink.com after reading the positive reviews on this site.
The best part of this vacation was the staff - they are extremely service oriented. I have never experienced this level of service at a Four Seasons or Ritz-Carlton. Madge, Lorna, and Silver will be remembered by our families. From the warm welcome to our teary departure they made this vacation one that will likely never be topped. I highly recommend going with the food plan. I am a picky eater and was skeptical. Madge won us all over the first night with a delicious pumpkin soup, chicken dinner and chocolate cake. She continued to impress and surprise us all week with things like homemade key lime pie, delicious fresh vegetables, pancakes, omelettes, bacon, jerk chicken, blackened fish... She even knew to make us a light lunch with chicken noodle soup when some of us had upset stomaches one day. It was a very healthy week of food with fresh fruit daily for breakfast, salads and vegetables each evening. Silver prepared the most beautiful tables with fresh flowers and served our meals and drinks. He set up a special dinner for us in the gazabo our last night. He was always entertaining and accompanied us on a shopping trip to make sure we went to the right places without any hassles. Lorna was a saint constantly cleaning our rooms and laundry. We went through a ridiculous amount of towels and she always kept up with us. She went above and beyond to repair a ripped shirt. It was a bonus to pack our fresh clean clothes to take home and not have to unpack soggy beach clothes covered with sand when we returned. Please be prepared to pay them a generous tip. We gave them 20% of our rental fee and felt like we could have gave more - they work so hard.
We went with 2 couples, 2 toddlers and a nanny and had plenty of room and things to keep us busy or resting as needed all week. As the other reviewer stated, the pictures and the description provided on their website do not do this place justice.
There are 4 nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Each has a flat screen TV and Bose music center. There is satelite TV and a wireless network. There is a wonderful area on the deck overlooking the ocean where meals were served and another area for relaxing. The pool is wonderful and the ocean is right down from the gazebo. No need to pay for additional snorkeling trips, you can take your own gear and go right in front of the villa. Several paid tours stop by the closest bouy. The water is beautiful with coral, fish, and other sealife. The horseback riding and tour of the plantation are nice perks that got us out of the villa without the need for a cab ride or extra money (except for tips). The guys played tennis daily and I was able to do a short jog up the lane. I'm dreaming of the day I can afford to fly my family to Eight Rivers for a holiday. I know my parents, sister, nieces and nephews would love it (who wouldn't though).
The only recommendation I have is to bring additional Off or bug spray. They provided 2 cans but if you want to sit outside a lot in the evening, you will go through it quickly. If you are picky about your tennis gear or snorkle gear you should bring your own. They have some that is okay but it has been used a lot and may not be up to some standards. Finally be sure to bring a lot of cash to pay for the groceries, cabs and other purchases. We usually travel light on cash and rely on ATMs when we arrive. We had a hard time finding an ATM that provided US$ as advertised, when we did find one it had a $200 limit. We ended up standing in long time-consuming lines at the bank twice, which required 2 photo IDs to get a $500 limit.

Some of the villas are connected by walking paths. You would want to make sure you got 3 together as the main road itself is not really walkable.
We used Top Choice Jamaica Tours . Excellent service
