Unmatched setting and beach. Beautiful rooms and grounds. Staff spoil you with friendly service and great food. Loved the pool, croquet lawn and beach gear. I suppose there were lots of activities and things to do, but we enjoyed the peace and tranquility.
Before getting into how absolutely marvelous this resort is, we want to first say that the greatest attribute of this place is the amazing staff. Each and every person we encountered made our visit even better, with great conversation or going above and beyond the call of duty, including (in alphabetical order): Adrian, Carter, Jacqueline, Jayson, Kingsley, Marie, Palmer, Patrice, Richard, Sherlene, & Stretch. (I know I missed a few names and I am so very sorry). Marie and Sherlene, an extra special ‘thank you’ to you both for your incredible kindness and help when we needed it. So, we have been on quite a few vacations over the years, and our stay at The Jamaica Inn was truly second to none, and, the most romantic. The rooms are immaculate, which is a major thing for me since I’m a clean freak. They are exactly as they appear on the website, with beautiful furnishings and spectacular views. The food is fantastic. The menus offer many choices and we enjoyed each and every meal. Even lunch on the beach and room service were as good, and presented as nicely, as dining on the Terrace. The servers and chefs were very accommodating and patient with my husband’s specific food requests. The nightly entertainment was so enjoyable and the band members were a lot of fun, especially during the Christmas holiday. The grounds and beach are pristine. It’s obvious why we kept reading and hearing that the beach here is the best in Jamaica. If we had to give one piece of constructive criticism it is that the Red Stripe is insanely priced for a locally brewed beer : - ) Thank you all for such a wonderful and memorable vacation – we can’t wait to comeback. ONE LOVE…
Never ever again. Meals were awful and expensive. Some staff very lackadaisical and scruffy. Didn’t do as asked. Couldn’t get to the bar as customers sat drinking and talking. Too close for comfort as Vovid still around.
Amazing stay at Jamaica Inn, very upscale in class with luxury gardens filled with Tropical birds with a private beach that charter boat rides along the coast. The moment we reached the property the staff went beyond our wildest imagination all the way to the last day! Excellent!!
Quiet, relaxed, elegant and sophisticated. No other place compares. The grounds, the beach, the rooms, and especially the people who work, here make this paradise. You are treated like family by the best workers in the world! Please do not change even a single thing!!!
How this beautiful hotel provides such consistently excellent service is a wonder. I can't wait to go back. I'd say that for the money, this is the best Caribbean hotel I've ever stayed at. Such a pleasure.
It's a piece of Heaven here on earth in Ocho Rios Jamaica. Picturesque, old world charm and all around wonderful. Environmentally friendly, Quiet, clean, well kept grounds, impeccably immaculate, great food, friendly staff and the ambiance is just heavenly. Ideal for those who are stressed and burnt out and just want to leave the world behind...log off and disconnect ... and reconnect and recharge with love ones. Wake up by the sea shore to the sound of waves rushing to shore harmonizing with birds singing their praise to the dawn. Just roll out of bed and take a dip in the warm blue waters of the Caribbean sea but please don't miss breakfast... I recommend room service on the verandah...I am confident that whatever the chef serves up world peace can be achieved!
Absolutely loved our stay here! We were here for 5 nights staying in the Deluxe Verandah Suite. We enjoyed our naps on the verandah. The food was excellent! Large portions and variety. We really liked how the dinner menu changed nightly along with the specials. We ordered breakfast to our room 3 times because our verandah was just so perfect for dining. We have stayed in many resorts/hotels/inns all over the Caribbean and Europe and we have never had the experience like we did here. Every single person we talked to was absolutely amazing. Nothing was a problem if you asked for it. Everyone seemed to get along so well with each other and with that kind of staff it reflects on management. So kudos to them. The beach is not very long (700ft) so if long walks on the beach are important this is not your place. If you are looking for a quiet place to sit back and catch up on your reading this is your place.…
We booked three adjacent Premiere Verandah Suites for a few nights in March. The open air living rooms and location of these suites directly on a gorgeous beach coupled with an abundance of very friendly and efficient service from end to end made our stay at Jamaica Inn nearly priceless! Special note goes to David in the busy cocktail lounge. My wife asked for coconut water on our first evening, which was not available. On our second evening, David approached our table and offered my wife a coconut water without her asking for it -- very impressive! We look forward to future stays at the Jamaica Inn.
We loved Jamaica Inn - perfect for the quiet relaxing stay we were looking for. The room is small but the verandah is terrific and we spent a lot of time out there. The beach is gorgeous and private. There is never a concern about getting a palapa in the shade - many are also under palm trees. Beach service for drinks, snorkeling gear etc. was great. The food was very good with a few misses (the fish and grilled lobster were somewhat overcooked). All of the servers and other staff were extremely polite and friendly. The nightly band was terrific - we loved having cocktails on the terrace then going down to the outdoor area for dinner with the great entertainment. We had the MAP (breakfast and dinner) but just ordering a la carte would have been fine. The only excursion we did was the market trip with the chef and the cooking class that followed - this was fun. Plenty of other activities are available. Overall, this really fit the bill for a relaxing get away to a refined, quiet place with excellent service and a beautiful beach. The antithesis of a Sandals or Couples type resort. The only negative we noted was noise at our room from the main road and a restaurant that had music playing from across the road. We were in the far side of the main Inn building - other rooms probably would not be effected by this noise. Also a long car ride from the MBS airport - but we enjoyed seeing the country,…
