Huge Congratulations to the Jamaica Inn on their recent placement in Travel and Leisure's top 10 hotels in the Caribbean! Well done and well deserved! My husband and I have been visiting me in for 22 years and we consider it “home” (in our dreams). We have traveled many places in the world through all of western Europe and Asia at the Mediterranean but Jamaica always remains one of our favorites and we try to return once or twice a year! We travel from New York so it’s only 3 1/2 hours! We are creatures of habit in many ways and the Jamaica Inn affords us the luxury of awakening to indulge in our morning swim before our morning coffee...I literally can't say that about anywhere else in the world except the Jamaica Inn! Not to mention our nightly ritual of moon bathing and and I ur own cottage pool! And thanks to your amazingly professional and kind staff Who make everything seem effortless but we know how much hard work goes into keeping everything running smoothly. And of course the property is beyond beautiful! Elegant graceful and timeless! Can’t wait to come home:) 🇯🇲 Lauren & Todd.

I'm afraid I might wear out my keyboard with all the good things I have to say about our recent stay. From the first contact over the phone to make our reservation until the car from the hotel dropped us off at the airport the service was amazing. If all places had such good service there might not be a need for this site. Upon arrival at the airport we were greeted by the driver from the hotel which we arranged for in advance. It is a 90 minute trip from Montego Bay Airport to the inn. Check-in was smooth and flawless as they showed us around the grounds on the way to our room and answered our questions. The rooms are not huge but large enough with nice toiletries and the basic amenities you would expect. There are no tv's in the rooms but with great WiFi you can watch from your devices if so desired. We had no time or interest really. With a beautiful beach and a nice veranda right on it who needs a tv. Breakfast service is either in the restaurant (outdoor unless raining) or delivered to your room where we would eat on the veranda. Lunch you had the same options or have it delivered to your spot on the beach. Dinner had the same options as breakfast. Many people seem to take the room service option as there is a dress code after 7PM (long pants, collar shirt and closed toe shoes for men) which I did not mind but if you did not feel like packing evening clothes then room service is a great option. Service not only was right there for you many times they were even ahead of you in anticipating your needs/wants. There were activities such as a tour of the grounds to learn about the native fruits and spices grown there, a rumology tasting of the varieties of local rum and croquet were some. Through the concierge you are able to arrange quite a variety of activities in the area based on your interests. Nothing beat getting up, walking straight onto the beach setting our chairs and relaxing with the biggest decision we had to make was whether to order over breakfast to our veranda or stroll over to the restaurant for a different beach view. There is no wrong choice. The beach is beautiful, well spaced out and very clean. We had a couple minor hiccups which really were nobody's fault which were attended to immediately, resolved quickly, efficiently and exceeding our expectations. As we are still in the Covid era proper protocols were observed in all our interactions there as the staff are very mindful of the precautions that are needed. We opted for the all inclusive meal/drink plan and it was well worth it. The meals were fresh and high quality and they were prepared expertly. The menu varied enough that we had plenty of different options to choose from throughout our stay and they were mindful of the food allergies we advised them of. Thee owners are gracious and take the time to chat with the guests. Finally, if you like a little bit of history this place certainly has some. You can get a taste of it from their website. When onsite we asked more about it and were shown around and given some more detailed background. It was an interesting investment of 15 minutes. Checkout was nice and efficient with our car to the airport ready and waiting. Last Covid note was that when we stayed we booked for 5 nights which included a free Covid test onsite from a doctor that came and administered it. The results were emailed in about 90 minutes and we were able to upload them to our airline app for a smooth clearance at the airport. All that's left is for us to book our next trip there.

Dear Darren D, We are delighted that you have chosen to stay at the Jamaica Inn and that it would be for a great cause if the keyboard had gotten worn out!. It was truly a delight to serve and pamper you from the moment you had made your room reservations to arriving at the airport where your journey of a wonderful stay began. We will be sure to share with the amazing team that served you by setting up your breach chairs, preparing and serving those excellent meals, engaging you on a tour and just the overall experience. We wish you a wonderful rest of the year and look forward to welcoming you again in the not too distant future. Regards, Sherlene Hickling Guest Services

Everything about this place is amazing. Our west wing room was very nice, our room was right next to the water, could see fish from our verandah. We spent 90% of our time in the verandah, also lovely to see the sunset from there. The private beach had very few people in it, and was just a few steps from our toom. The staff are also wonderful, Nadia at the front desk was particularly helpful. The food at the restaurant or through room service was excellent, and the band every night was a lot of fun. The only slightly negative comment I would have is to do with the cocktails: the same drink being really good one day and pretty mediocre the next. There is a grocery store in the gas station about 5 minutes walk from the hotel, has snacks, beer, wine, rume, sunscreen tc. All in all, just an amazing place, we will be back.

Dear Barun C, We are very delighted that you had such a fantastic stay here at the Jamaica Inn. All our rooms have an amazing view of the Caribbean Sea but will agree with you that the rooms on the water are great choices and actually gives one a close up view of the fishes and the most amazing sunset. Thanks for making mention of Nordia and the rest of the team who are always willing to go above and beyond to ensure that you have a wonderful stay. Thanks as well for pointing out the cocktails by the bar. We will be certain to work on improving our service in that area. We wish you all the very best for the rest of the year and look forward to welcoming you again in the not too distant future. Regards, Sherlene Hickling Guest Services

Jamaica Inn is a slice of Heaven on Earth. We stayed in cottage 2 and the size for 4 was perfect with amazing views of the Caribbean and Jamaica hills. The service was amazing - we were catered to by friendly staff morning through night. The food was delicious and the drinks had us quite happy. The atmosphere is geared towards total relaxation and appreciating the Caribbean waters with all the water sports equipment you need to explore. My family had quite an incredibly indulgent and great time, met new friends, and are already talking about when we will come back. Thank you for everything, Jamaica Inn!! We had the most amazing time at the Jamaica Inn for our honeymoon in July. The hotel is simply beautiful, with every room boasting some level of sea view with a beautiful balcony and the hotel has the most beautiful and well kept gardens and beachfront. Everything is very high-end including the toiletries offered and the food is absolutely amazing, rivalling any top restaurant. Definitely make the most of the complimentary activities offered - the garden tour was great (it was so nice to taste fruit fresh from the trees of the hotel grounds), the Bond on the Beach screenings were great being able to watch on the beach under the stars, the manager's cocktail hours and the beach dining and bonfire on Tuesdays. We also loved learning to play croquet on the lawn and taste the island rums at the beach bar. Covid is obviously still a consideration and considering we're still in the midst of a global pandemic and it would be completely understandable for usual service to be disrupted, everything is running like clockwork. The return covid tests for travel were arranged by the hotel too which was a great touch. The absolute best thing about the hotel though is the staff. Almost everyone is friendly, helpful and greet you with a big smile. Nothing is too much for the wonderful staff who really get you know you during your stay (but not in an intrusive way - we find the best thing about travelling is getting to know the locals and it was really lovely to chat to those who work at Jamaica Inn). Everyone is so happy to be working there and staff turnover is low. We'd like to give special mention to Patrice at the bar and restaurant, Richard and Maria from housekeeping, Christopher the lifeguard and Omar the gardener (although there are so many others whose names we didn't learn or who we didn't get a chance to chat to for so long). It's a lovely touch that the owner also makes himself known to guests and regularly checks in as to how things are (which the management do too) which really makes you feel like everyone cares very much about your stay. Our highlight really was the release of the baby hawksbill turtles on the beach. Jamaica Inn are so lucky to have these turtles nesting on their beach and it was the most amazing experience to see the first hatching of the year. Working with the Oracabessa Sea Turtle Project means that the turtles are supervised and checked regularly to ensure they all have the best chance of surviving. To see over a hundred baby turtles running down the beach to the sea was a bucket list moment and we were so lucky to see this on our honeymoon. If you get a chance to stay at Jamaica Inn then do it, you absolutely won't regret it!
