I wish I could give this place zero stars. Unfortunately, my family felt not only unwelcome at this “resort,” but also unsafe. It’s a bad sign when a couple is checking out when you’re checking-in, at 5:00 PM, due to them not being happy with the room or the whole facility. The lady at the front desk barely looked at us, barely spoke to us, and didn’t explain anything at all to us when we checked in. She gave us a room number, 231, that doesn’t even exist, and we looked around for it for awhile. We were told our wrist bands would get us into the beach, which it doesn’t. You have to wait for someone to write passes for you, while they try to sell excursions to you. Beach chairs and umbrellas are $8 each, and the people that rent them on the beach are very unfriendly, exactly like the staff at the Deja. Our unclean room had a sliding door on a balcony that led to a parking lot, and the sliding door had a busted lock. The room had exactly four pillows for our family of four, and one towel. While we didn’t expect a luxurious room, basics were not even there, and the customer service was the worst we’ve ever experienced. A lady selling ice cream on the 2nd floor would actually look down or look away when we approached. The hotel is very outdated, with a couple of nice views- one in the dining room, and one on a balcony facing the beach. There were exactly two male staff members who were friendly, while the rest barely spoke to us. Again, we don’t have to have luxury, but we couldn’t tolerate unsafe and unwelcome. Needless to say, we stayed one night and couldn’t get out fast enough. We quickly made our way to another hotel, which was absolutely wonderful.

From beginning it was terrible. There is no parking at this hotel, you are directed to a "plaza" next door and you end up triple parking between and beside other vehicles to which you are thereafter called several times throughout your stay to remove your car to let out others you are blocking. Absolutely crazy. To then move inside where it is HOT as hell, there is no Air Conditioning anywhere except your room, We waited forever to receive our room keys and despite the friendliness of the Security and the lady that Greeted us, eventually one of the ladies at check in was rude when we enquired about the balance of Room keys for our group. All other staff were very helpful and friendly. This however, did not make up for the state of our room (which we got hours later) which was Musty and appeared to be infrequently utilized. The room by the way, made all occupants sick. Regarding food, choices were very limited (except for Breakfast which was Good) and the Grill constantly ran out. Liquor and chaser options from the Bars were also limited. All in all, a Bad experience and I will never recommend or return. I recommend, a total revamping and refurbishing of this Hotel.

All stated covid protocols were met. Someone tried to break into my room. He was drunk and mistook my room for his.. staff, guest and security heard my calls for help and assisted me. They reassured me and I really enjoyed my stay. Also they have great mango daiquiri with cherry brandy. Thanks Kevon. The bar staff can also make you a drink based on how you feel and they aren't shy with the alcohol... But if you want a virgin they still have your back. Food is fantastic and it has a friendly staff who makes you feel at home also their entertainment persons are very good at their jobs. Great for family and friends if you want a simple getaway My partner and I had a great time.

Take my word.. don’t stay here. Staff not friendly and “all inclusive” is a joke. I felt like a burden asking for anything. Arrived late and was told we had to take another room because the one I booked was not available. Dinner sucked and thank god I know what good rice and peas taste like because if that was my first time trying it I would never eat it again. Waitress gave me attitude for trying to order a drink. Got to the room and the bed was small, room just felt dirty. Phone did not work. Was not given WiFi passcode. Toilet ran all night, and when I say ran, I thought it was flooding at one point. I was willing to work with staff and take another room until the next morning at breakfast, the girl serving food, did not want to serve me or my boyfriend. Instead she served other people (one guy even pointed and said aren’t you going to get them). At that point I just wanted my money back so we could stay somewhere else. Manager told me I had to pay for 2 nights when we only stayed for 1 night and that the girl said we were standing too far away. Funny other people who were in the restaurant thought otherwise. Told the manager I planned on writing a review to let people know what kind of “all inclusive” resort this is and that you pay for what you get. Don’t waste your time or money. Stay at the S hotel across the street on doctors cave beach. It is truly beautiful and worth the few extra dollars. Deja is a dump. TERRIBLE customer service which makes the whole experience even worse.
