    7day Birthday Trio
A friend of mine and I traveled to Jamaica and stayed here for 7 days. For the most part the staff was very friendly. We had no trouble on the check in except we had to wait a while not only to check in but my friend asked to get her room switched but it was al don't by check in time so it was bad for me. I love the half open half inside layout. There's always a fresh breeze and air come thru the entire resort. The staff was respectful and as friendly as they could be. I understand there is a culture difference and even if you think they mean harm, they don't. It's just a different way of life but nothing is intended to be rude or stand offish. As far as the rooms, I think they are somewhat outdated and could use a bit of sprucing up and a modern flare to it, but I also understand that the aesthetics are meant to give a natural and tropical feel. The bright yellow hues, the crisp white and wood furniture, and the open floor and airy layout. It was nice to me The food options were abundant but also very good. It was buffet style so you serve yourself and they try and keep it sanitary as you can when it comes to buffet style. I'm not a huge fan of the amount of flies everywhere but again that comes from being on a tropical island and everything being open to expose you the nature. But I would prefer not to swatting flies away every five seconds. The drinks were unlimited so even if they weren't that strong you can get as many as you like with as much or as little alcohol you prefer. The worst part for me is not them not having any first aid kits or supplies on hand. I scraped my knee pretty badly and there wasn't a band aid or any kind of medical supplies available. We even went to the mega Mart and still nothing. And the gift shop was literally useless. Run by a guy with terrible customer service and overly over priced goods. A bag of 50 cent chips where 2 dollars. 5 dollar bottles of water....it wasn't cool at all. And the pool is too small for such a big place that hold so many. That's why we stayed on the beach. They offer jet skiing, parasailing, glass bottom boats rides and snorkeling as activities to do so the beach is highly recommended. So I would suggest bring medical supplies or really try not to get hurt out here because you will suffer. Also buy as much water as you can because with all the liquor you drink and the heat you become severely dehydrated. And that's the TRUTH. Otherwise I had the best time I could ever have in 7 days

    Great vacation!!!
I have stayed at LOTS of hotels in Jamaica and Sea Garden has BY FAR the friendliest, most welcoming staff I have ever met. After the second day they knew us by name, which my kids absolutely loved. I can’t rave about the staff enough, especially Delroy, Shaquille, Georgette, Linton, Edeno, Jerome, Kingsley and the whole entertainment staff(sorry we didn't remember you names!) The hotel itself is very nice, the grounds are beautifully kept and it has a very quaint homey feel. The room was very spacious and the addition of a mini fridge was great. There is always somewhere to eat, whether it is the dining room, beach grill or pool side deli and always a bar open to get a drink. The beach is clean and full of shells and so is the water. There is plenty of entertainment during the day, and the staff did a fantastic job including my kids and making kid versions of all the games. The evening entertainment was all great but Tuesday's Native Show was by far the best! The food was delicious, the only downfall was the availability of kid friendly dishes and overall variety. It was wonderful to have authentic Jamaican dishes so frequent, as most other hotels only offer "Jamaican Night" once a week, but having a few other options would also be nice. Thank you Sea Garden Staff for making my kids’ vacation so memorable
Dear Juliana L Thank you for taking the time to review and provide constructive feedback on your stay with us at SeaGarden Beach Resort. Great budget friendly stay with great central location
We stayed at the sea garden for one week. I was skeptical at first because the reviews were all over the board. The hotel itself is very nice but also very basic. The only complaint I actually have was that the elevator and the ice machine say they’re out of order but I don’t think they actually ever work. We totally got our steps in doing those stairs but it was still totally worth it. The rooms are clean and they do clean and restock them daily even with Covid. The staff was all extremely nice, friendly and always said hello in passing. The beach is across the street which is private and very nice there’s fun activities there all day long plus a restaurant bar which is all included if you’re all inclusive. The resort is extremely safe I never once had to worry about anything. The drinks are great and always flowing. There was entertainment every night by the pool with live music and activities. It’s a great place to come with kids and it’s only a five minute walk from the hip strap if you’re coming to party and go to the clubs. The food is what one should expect at a standard buffet it has lots of traditional options plus American options of course they keep it more safe and bland but you can easily add pepper hot sauce to spruce anything up. They do rotate the menu slightly each day. They also have their restaurant bar and deli snack shack outside which are open anytime the Buffay is not so there’s always the ability to get food and drinks. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay that’s budget friendly and close to town and literally 15 minutes from the airport I would highly recommend it! If you’re looking for some five star resort that you never plan on leaving you probably should spend more money and go elsewhere. But for someone like us who only goes to our room to sleep this was all we needed.
Dear Amanda Lee, Thank you for taking the time to review and provide feedback on your stay with us at SeaGarden Beach Resort. We are so pleased you had a very nice stay and had such a number of good points about the resort to share with other travelers. Our team will be ecstatic. We look forward to welcoming you "home" on your next trip. Warm Regards.

This hotel is value for money. So it is not a name brand but my wife and I enjoy staying here. The staff is wonderful. We enjoyed every moment and I can't wait to go back as they have been adding to the complex, brand new rooms, new restaurants, and a great price. I love my burgers and jerk chicken on the beach and my friends all go there and thank me for suggesting it. I will give a further view in November when I go there. I want to see what the new rooms are like. I hope they are ready by then.

I reserved this room and they requested 1 nights deposit even though on Booking.com it is not a requirement. The hotel will message you and ask. I paid 1 nights deposit for October and changed my mind a week later. The hotel agreed to return my deposit - that was 16 days ago and I haven't received anything and now they have stopped replying to my messages. I will be writing a formal complaint and contacting booking.com customer services

I visited this resort Jan 19th to the 27th 2020 just before Covid hit. Please note this review is being revuewed late so it is noted that I visited in 2022. It is actually 2020 that I visited. My son and I visited and he was 7 years old at the time. It rained on day one and I took that as good luck for our stay as tge rest of the trip we had beautiful weather! Check in was a breeze. I had invited a guest to stay with us and the front desk made this possible with no challenges. There were no elevators and our room was o the third floor which was not a big deal as we hardly stayed in our room. I was waiting to see hiw the beach was and I enjoyed it. We had to walk across the street to get to the beach which was a nice change of scenery. My son enjoyed watching the planes come in for landing while on the beach, as this resort is very close to the airport in Mobay. Myself? I loved being in the water and enjoying tge cool breeze that came off the ocean. We left the resort a few nights to check out the Strip, eat, shop and experience the culture more. We met really nice staff that were engaging and hospitable. Kim from the front desk was awesome and her first impression of guest service is spot on. There is also Shadean who served in the buffet...we ate with her everyday except on her day off. Of course there was our favourite Georgette the bartender! We love her. This resort is suited for both adults and children as the team engages well. My son,our guest and I really enjoyed our stay at SeaGarden. We did not spend all our days on the resort ( to account fir 3 star rating) as we visited family in the country. Our time at the resort was great and enjoyable with no complaints.

first understand this is a five star review based on price. I have been to about 30 resorts all over the Caribbean and this one is a gem! If you just plan to hang out in your room and eat food, it may not be the best place for you, but if you want a comfortable place to stay with an amazing beach, book it now! the room was not fancy, but was kept clean and totally met our needs as a place to shower, change clothes, and sleep. the buffet was basic and although not as many food options as other resorts, the food quality was a little better. we never had an issue and the jerk chicken at the beach area was amazing. speaking of the beach, this place has it all to include very clear water. there are plenty of beach chairs available and i've been to so many places before that you can't find a chair unless you get one at 7am. great sandy beach area for kids to play or relax in the water. if you like snorkeling, this is the best place I have ever seen. since it is surrounded by rocky walls, you will be able to snorkel for hours and hours. If you are able to adapt to your surroundings a little and go with the flow, seagarden is a great stay for a great price. take a look at the amazing photos I took!

Rundown, derelict & in major need of updating. This hotel is located close to the airport and the employees were nice, those are probably the only positive things I have to say about it. The hallway carpets are worn and appear as though they have never been vacuumed or cleaned. The room lacked outlets, I arrived to dirty sheets on my bed and had to request they be changed multiple times before someone actually came up. The check in area is well air conditioned and the air conditioner in my room worked well.

DO NOT STAY at this resort! This resort needs a total tear down and not to re-open. The building is old, dirty and falling apart. The lobby carpet is old, dirty and full of stains. We did not get the room we reserved and when we brought it to the receptionists attention she blew it off and stated they were booked. We did not have comforters or pillows on our bed upon checking into our room either. We booked 5 nights and only had 1 set of towel each in the bathroom. When calling down to request housekeeping, it took 3 days (Saturday, we checked in on Wednesday) for someone to finally bring towels after calling numerous time. The bathroom showerhead was disgusting. The food is not much better smh. There is no bacon at breakfast and very limited drink options. The alcohol is bottom shelf only, no options for any brand you may recognize. Some of the staff is friendly, others not so much. The location is close to the airport, so you will hear arrivals but also a quick taxi drive to night life off the resort. The beach is small and you must cross the street to access it. I did not utilize the pool as it was rather small. Arnese or Arneice (not sure the spelling) at the front desk was the worst and not helpful at all. I asked for a email and or phone # for complaints and stated she did not have any. Had to waits days to speak to a manager only for them to offer no compensation what so ever. You could not pay me to stay here again.

Our Seqagarden stay was too short We loved it. Upon arrival it was quite hectic because my sister and her family who were joining us were delayed due to a TUI cancellation of their aircraaft. We had a quiet day without all the members of our trip ,we ate and sat on the beach. The beach was stunning and I was excited to watch the planes land at the nearby Sangster airport. Each meal was delicious, well thought out and flavorful. The only con I have is I’m still waiting for my refund for 2/4 rooms. I’m hopeful I will see the credit soon. My room was quite outdated but clean. I accepted it because I thought all the rooms were that way. Not the truth, when my family arrived the next day their rooms were outstanding and new. I guess next time I will request one of those rooms I will definitely be back.

The moment we arrived around 9am we were greeted by the security then the Bellman. Delroy got us unloaded and showed us where to park. It was a hot day, no AC anywhere but the front desk area fans are in some areas but that didn't help. The issues started at front desk, so disorganized and rooms were not ready on time and there was a dispute with the billing and what we agreed upon paying prior to our group check-in and the signed contract we had and the demands before checking in. This took several hours going back and forth with several different sales agent then the VP of sales. We were correct all the way and had a sign contract and thought everything was finalized before we arrived. Upon arrival we were told we had a balance to pay. So Trisha, vp of sales and our sales rep Leonie and two other staff members reviewed the contract after the front desk agent said we had a $500+ payment due. After the discrepancy was reviewed they now come to an agreement that our balance was $70. Even though the bookings were verified agreement signed they said 1 person in the group was charged the wrong price due to his age upon check in. Not our fault but the sales person and they would not reconsider to Comp the remanding balance after I paid over $34,000.00 for the hotel stay. The building most of us stayed in had no elevator and I was on the 3rd floor. We had elderly folks with us but got some room changes the next day. We also had a room with no AC but 2 fans in it and paying over $400+ a night. We got a room change to another building after 2 nights of HEAT. The food was not bad but when they are out of an Item that is on the menu you maybe out of luck if you are not there within the first hour. A manager "Nick" tried to make it right for us after giving him an Idea of the things that are not going well for us in the rooms and the restaurant. Some employees went above and beyond to make sure our group of 39 people were ok. Servers: Odaine, Deshawn, Clayton, Novelette, Rushall, Vanessa, Georgette, and Dwight. They are awesome Bellman: Delroy he came in extra early to assist us with luggage because there was no elevator. Great guy My room was a hit or miss even though I tipped the housekeeper well. I could not get a Bathmat and had to use a towel on the floor. My windows cannot lock and if the wind blows hard they open and slam, also the door had no security latch. What's really ashame is all the money spent there during our stay, you could not find anyone with authority to make it right for us.. even to comp the remaining $70 which they don't deserve.

My family and I went to Jamaica at the Seagardens all inclusive resort for a family reunion. There were over 50 of us at this resort and we all had the same same problems. First, we walked in the reception area and there is NO air condition. (BAD SIGN!) We waited to be served for a half in an hour in the heat. Get to our room and the room is form the 70's. The bed is not even a queen!! Sheets are grey with holes and no towels!! We go back down to get our room changed and get into a room that is worse than what we have. Carpet is stained, one set of towels, and the old mildew smell!! (Pictures Enclosed) This room is from a horror show! safe: The safe didn't work and when you asked about using the office safe they say you need a gun to use their safe. Shower: The water is either too hot or too cold. I learned the hard way and almost burned my skin off! Or if you flush the toliet the hot water runs out and the water stays cold. mosquito: The bedrooms have a terribe mosquito problem. My husband got bit so bad his legs got infected. They give you citronella candles in your room. Didn't know why they did ,but learned the hard way. Flies: The dining room is infested with flies and sometimes the food is not covered. So thats a turn off. When you sit to eat you have to fight flies not to go on your food. Heat: There is NO AIR CONDITION in the dining room area. It is so unbearable to eat in those conditions that it makes your stay very unpleasant. Towels: Every night I had to go to the front desk to get towels for the night. As you can see in my pictures. The maid service did not have any towels on her cart to put in the room! Food: They served the same food every night! There were no changes to the menu! So if you eat spicey foods this is not the place for you. If it wasn't for my family and the pleasant time I had with them. I would have not stayed the 7 days at this horrible resort!!! The only thing good at this resort is it is 5 minute from the airport.
