First want to share that the hotel is very much prepared for the pandemic and made my stay feel safe. The hotel was clean, nice and had great service. I want to also mention Aldwane Birch, a certified driver for the hotel, was a great resource for getting around the island, especially now, in a safe manner. He went above and beyond every time we drove with him and was a highlight of our trip having met him. If you visit this hotel, you can ask for "Wayne" and he will be a great resource for your trip.

Me and my sister had the BEST birthday vacation EVER! This was our first time visiting Montego Bay, Jamaica - and it won’t be our last! First off, the island is simply breathtaking! The people, the history, the food, the culture, and the land is so rich and beautiful. We stayed for 5 days, Thursday - Tuesday for Thanksgiving weekend. First, the hotel. The grounds are clean, spacious, and green. The lobby is airy, and has the perfect background for pictures or even a post card. The main pool is absolutely beautiful in the daytime, and even prettier at night - and it leads directly to the beach. The upstairs (5th floor) pool is also very nice, and the view is amazing at night. My room was to die for!!!!! I had an ocean view double on the 4th floor. The bathroom was a retreat in itself, with the double shower heads and the huge soaking tub. The double sinks saved A LOT of time. We had an iron an iron board, a mini fridge, and safe in the closet. The AC unit was very powerful and cooled the entire room very fast. The beds were comfortable and plush. The full length mirror, and the mirror in the middle of the beds we great additions to the room. One of the smallest details, but very appreciated was the Cubie speaker/alarm clock - where you can connect to any wireless device to play music. The TV was huge, and the desk was beautifully decorated. The pull out couch was very comfortable, and a nice touch if you didn’t always want to sit on your bed. The balcony provided so much light and fresh air to the room - and the view of the pool, beach, and skyline just made everything perfect! Second, the beach. The beach is connected to the side of the pool which is not only convenient, but it makes for a beautiful view from your balcony. The entire property is amazing. Our beach buddies were Andre, Sheldon, and Hakeem. Andre was knowledgeable about water tours, and rides. As well he made sure everyone’s temperature was appropriate (Covid-19 regulations). Sheldon was very nice, and installed our beach umbrella for us. He also delivered sugar cane to us, and left it on our towels while we we enjoying the water. Hakeem was one of the life guards. He sits to the far right (if you’re standing facing the ocean) near the bridge. He was very sweet and ensured us that we were safe. He was also very knowledgeable about water excursions and the blue lagoon. Third, the food. Now that I’m writing this, I wish I could’ve kissed the chef. He or she fed us well during our stay. The porridge was the best I’ve ever had, and the jerk chicken was the most moist and flavorful chicken I’ve ever had as well! The Mutton was excellent, the ackee was delicious, the breakfast was amazing, the fruit was fresh and sweet - especially the pineapple and papaya. The dumplings were good and the rack of lamb and mussels were to die for! The desserts were either a trio of mini desserts or one dessert, all of which were great! The rum punch and fruit juice was the absolute best. Even the alkaline water was amazing. I had no complaints, everything - even the things I forgot to mention were delicious. May god continue to bless the chef hands. Fourth, the service. From the moment we arrived the staff was very attentive, hospitable, Covid prepared, helpful, and friendly. ALL of the staff members during the duration of my stay were amazing, professional, and went above and beyond! My staff favorites were Yhonn, Timera, Delroy, Farrah, Monique, and especially Mr. Birch AKA Wane. I felt so genuinely welcomed and taken care of while in their presence, and that level of hospitality can be very difficult to find - so I am very appreciative of them. Yhonn (Pronounced like John but with a y. I hope I spelled it correctly) greeted us in the lobby with his smile and some rum punch, and then escorted us to our room, gave us a tour and explained the room key feature to us. Everyday after that Yhonn greeted us with that same smile and politeness, he gave us suggestions on where to eat, he informed us when our ride was outside, he was just an all around pleasure and kept an eye on us. Timera was our dinner and sometimes breakfast server, and she was so graceful and polite. As well, she was always smiling and prompt when serving us. Timera spoiled us with banana bread, she was a sweetheart. Delroy was our breakfast server when we sat outside, and his service was exceptional! He is very attentive, and after 2 days he remembered our orders without us having to say anything. He was always prompt, polite, and he spoiled us. He even sent sugar cane down to the beach for us for my birthday, and he always gave us a surprise drink at the end of breakfast. Farrah was so funny, energetic, and friendly. We interacted with her during dinner service, and she always complemented us, always had a smile, was always fun and cheerful, and made sure we were always being well taken care. Her smile and presence was so reassuring and warm, and she was just a pure delight! Monique helped my sister arrange my birthday surprise. She corresponded with my sister by email to arrange for the chef to make me a beautiful birthday cake (carrot) and bouquet of flowers to be delivered to the room. The cake was delicious (I bought half of it home, as well as my flowers) and the flowers were gorgeous - especially because I got to see them bloom during my stay. Monique was discreet and sweet, and I thank her for helping my sister make my birthday even better! Saving the best for last (but definitely not least) is Mr. Alwane Birch AKA Wane, he was our driver. He was an absolute perfect gentleman! Wane was down-to-earth and easy to talk to. He was always on time, and very knowledgeable - we learned a lot from him about the culture and area. He took us anywhere we wanted to go - to eat, to the airport, to the gift shop, etc. He always opened the door, and helped us with whatever we needed. He knew his way around, and he was very informative and explained any and everything we wanted to know to us - and I loved that. He even ordered our food when we didn’t understand how to. We felt very safe with him, and he was fun to hang out with. He should be a driver + tour guide all in one, because his service was truly invaluable. We truly appreciate and recommend him to anyone in need of a ride while at the S Hotel or in Montego Bay. You can contact him on WhatsApp at +1 (876) 479-3887. Just let him know when + where, and he will be there! The hotel may officially be a 4-star facility, but the employees without a doubt make it 5-stars. Overall the staff was eager, efficient, exceptional and knowledgeable! Because of them my vacation was the best EVER! We appreciate all of their hard work and dedication to the job, making sure the guest are comfortable, happy, and safe. They are amazing and deserve all of the tips, raises, and blessings! Not only would I return to Montego Bay, Jamaica, but I would definitely return to the S hotel - and recommend it to any and everyone I know (and those I don’t know with this review). Thank all of you guys for a truly unforgettable experience! P.S. The only CON is that it was so beautiful and we felt so welcomed, we didn’t want to leave.

First of all 2020 had it's up and way downs for me. I stayed here the entire staff from management on down was top class. There were some disrespectful Fellow Americans here and the staff handled with class. social distancing protocols were in place 24hrs by all of the staff. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire i am sure the staff will miss me! Kimberlyn, Meldon, Yunique, Jhron, Russell, Delroy, Samantha ,Demara, Timerica. And all others names I can't remember! I will.be back! Food selections were small but good portions drinks were cold and heavy. Goodbye from Mr Rice and peas !!!

We stayed at the S hotel for several nights and highly recommend it! Upon arrival, we were greeted by Andres at the front desk. He was fantastic, and very helpful throughout our entire stay. We were offered welcome drinks, and upgraded to an ocean view room which included a balcony (definitely worth the upgrade). The stay included complimentary breakfast which includes a jamaican and continental variety, and dinner which had a different entree each night. At the restaurant, we were served by Sheree who was excellent. She always remembered our orders and chatted with us. The pool chairs and daybeds were sanitized each morning and the hotel grounds were very well maintained. There are hand sanitizing stations in every corner, and temperature checks each time you enter the restaurant or the beach. We were so glad to see that they take precautions in regards to COVID-19 very seriously and felt very safe during our stay. Masks are required in the common areas and all the staff members and guests were wearing them. We also had a chance to book a couples massage and try the thermal pools and sauna, all of which were very relaxing. Overall, the staff and service at S Hotel was fantastic, and paid attention to every detail of our stay. We will certainly return the next time we are in Jamaica!
