Stayed just one night. This hotel is near by the National Stadium and is in a location where it's easy to drive to New Kingston or other points of interest in Kingston. The hotel is quite charming with a lot of plants and lush garden areas. If you are a collector of old treasures this place will be your wonderland... More

The Alhambra Inn is a very pleasant experience for the traveling business person, stop overs in the busy capital city or for a hide away from the hussle and bustle of life. It's quite comfortable. The staff is polite and very professional. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. They are adequately equipped with all the necessary amenities to make... More

This is a very simple and quaint hotel. The owner was a collector and most of his collection can be seen on display around the grounds of the hotel. The staff was great, the rooms were large and very clean. They also had a restaurant and bar on the property and the food was wonderful.

It's a very nice place, BUT... the first night the ac which was right over my head, was very loud. The second night they moved us to a different room and the ac was not loud but then after moving we waited and waited for it to get cool but it never did. They said they would have it fixed,... More

I got there and felt at peace. My room was comfortable. Cable tv was limited but not just to xxx so I was happy with my options. The bathroom setting was adequate and I actually felt as if I cud use the towels and rags. For the price it was worth it. I had to visit another hotel and wished... More

Spent one night. Lots of character. Feels like a home. Lots of old artifacts form decades ago. Outdoor space is particularly charming. Room quite comfortable though poorly lit. Not the best for business. Recommend that management consider LED lighting. Recommended if there is no need to be in the heart of Kingston.

I don't know about the hotel but I know about the restaurant. The Gimbilyn Restaurant is in a gorgeous, clean space with sheltered and outdoor dining, a bar as well as a nice waterfall. The staff were incredibly friendly and the meals were well prepared and delicious. I went with friends and of the meals ordered, I heard no complains.... More

I stayed here based on the posted reviews and, as a result, I am really starting to doubt what I read on Trip Advisor. This is an old, run down hotel in the residential part of Kingston not conveniently located to any museums, restaurants, cultural attractions, parks, etc. The rooms are very dark and the furniture is at least 20... You can spend hundreds of dollars on hotels and never get what Alhambra gives. It has a vibe, a tone, peaceful and tranquil. The food is the best local food you can have in Jamaica! I am a Jamaican, now living abroad, so take it from me. It is secure, courteous staff, lots of antique, nice litlle swimming pool etc.... More

First impression of the Alhambra Inn is that the property is run down. Although the property is antique it could do well with a little more organization , at the front where I attended a wedding , there were two broken down pillers and a watering garden hose rolled up, I would have thought that these would have been removed...
