Welcome to Neita's Nest ... A Jamaican Bed and Breakfast service in a private dwelling enjoyed for decades by families and friends as it lends to easy entertaining. The breathtaking view of the sunrise, the show-stopping ascent of the full moon, and the mist-wrapped mountains after rain can all be enjoyed from all three guest bedrooms, as well as from the wide verandah - a perfect breakfast nook. Our floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall windows make for indoor dining a no-less picturesque experience. Neita's Nest - in Bridgemount, Stony Hill The approach, a winding, uphill challenge and now favoured-path of the fittest exercise buffs, is one of the oldest roads in the parish of St. Andrew. Built by slaves some 300 years ago, it still meanders through the residential area of Bridgemount, long-since named for this little-remembered piece of history. Historic Bed and Breakfast. Situated on the property that once housed The Captain's Quarters for Fort Bridgemount, an 18th century mountain-top British Army post, this 1960's chalet-styled home, now Bed and Breakfast to the world, is perched with a commanding view of the mountains surrounding Kingston's Liguanea Plains. Bird Watcher's Paradise/ Artist's Haven. The cool hills surrounding this upper St. Andrew home nurture a year-round verdant view, with the lush, untamed hillsides providing the perfect hideaway for over twenty species of local and migrant birds. But who's counting? The sheer joy of being awakened to nature's harmony creates the perfect setting of sights and sounds to inspire the creators of les beaux arts, the writers of poignant poetry and the composers of melodious music. Breakfast, which is included in your room rate, consists of Fresh Tropical Fruit, Juice, Freshly-brewed Authentic Jamaican Coffee, Assorted Teas, a Cooked Meal, Breads & Spreads. Dear Kim S, We are so very happy that you decided to spend your entire vacation in Jamaica with us, and are doubly delighted that you found peace of mind and a sense of security during your time at our homestay bed and breakfast in Kingston. You opted for a community tourism experience, and that is exactly what we offer. In fact, our tagline is "Why visit like a tourist when you can live with Jamaicans?" It is clear that you enjoyed our home as much as you enjoyed exploring our city and suburbs. Thank you for your recommendation. The garden furniture that was in your favourite spot is a new addition to our outdoor patio furniture. You will be pleased to know that we do have a hammock; we just have not hung it yet. Will send you a photo when we decide where; probably under the treehouse. What do you think? Thank you for staying and enjoying. Cheers, Michelle.

Following instinct for an ideal vacation spot, we arrived at Neita’s Nest late May. A unique building abreast the hill-side that sloped gently towards a dense tree-lined valley bordering an expansive mountain range with pockets of homes here and there. A flowering tree adorned

This was my fourth time staying at Neita's Nest but it was my first time in a different season (November instead of normally June-July). It was so lovely being back in the lush but tranquil surroundings of Neita's Nest. It makes for a great start to the day being able to sit on

Dear Steven, Interesting that you noticed that, though we are a tropical country, we do have subtle season changes, with November at the end of a wet one. Last year was lusher than ever, and in fact, a wetter than usual summer; at least a sprinkle every day. You came in a very good year. There was a time, in my previous 'life' that I worked from home and went out to see my clients. I prayed for a way to have my clients come to me. I never wanted to leave this lush and tranquil space to traverse the hot Liguanea plains of Kingston. It took years, and a different kind of job, before my prayer was answered. And here I am, welcoming guests/clients from around the world who love this space as much as I do. This lush and tranquil, amazing view from our balcony is indeed a blessing, one that I am happy to share. We are glad too that our space prepares you for, and helps you wind down from your productive days, and that our value-added touches are spot on and special. You are special to us and we hope that you will keep coming back to the Nest. With warm regards, Michelle.

do u have zip lining there
Dear Yanique, there are several zipline experiences across Jamaica but I know of none in Kingston. Neita's Nest is a traditional bed and breakfast, offering a homestay experience, and is quite different from the resort hotels and adventure parks such as Chukka Cove and YS Falls. Our guests choose us because they are looking for quiet enjoyment; to rest, relax and rejuvenate. The Treehouse on property brings out the quiet child in you, and is a great place for a massage. Our library is stocked with books by Jamaican and international authors. From our verandah, the view of the mountains that surround Kingston takes your breath away, and sometimes seem to transport your body, without the zipline. If this is what you are looking for, do give us a call. Cheers, Michelle (Neita) Owner/ Manager.

I am coming for a wedding in Mona-close to the UWI-is there any taxi service to this area.
Hello Kim-beach, Thank you for visiting our TripAdvisor page, and for your enquiry. There is definitely taxi service available throughout Kingston, and I would be only too happy to make the transport arrangements for you before hand so that all can be in place for your timely and comfortable arrival to the wedding. Do let me know whether you are the guest or part of the bridal/ groomsmen party and the number of persons so that there can be adequate seating for you and/or your party. With warm regards from Neita's Nest, Michelle. Owner/ Manager
