Travelers' Choice
Strawberry Hill Hotel, Spa & Gardens, a 26-acre mountain top resort, is located in the heart of one of the world's most famous coffee-producing mountain ranges, Jamaica's Blue Mountains. Listed in the New York Times #1 bestselling book, 1,000 Places To See Before You Die, Strawberry Hill is 3100 feet above sea level and features one of the most awe-inspiring views of the Blue Mountains in one direction as well as the city of Kingston in the other. On a clear day, one can see up to 100 miles from the property's infinity-edge pool, and at night the city far below becomes a twinkling mirror of the night sky. The property's 12 Georgian-style cottages, spa, exotic gardens and restaurant offerings underwent an extensive refurbishment in October 2011.

My husband Theo and I stayed at Strawberry Hill in November 2019. My husband is from Jamaica, so we came to Strawberry Hill to celebrate our anniversary after we visited family. The staff were incredibly kind from the start and even upgraded our room because they knew it was our wedding anniversary. All of the rooms are these private cabins each with their own beautiful views of the mountains and trees that go on for miles and miles. There are no TVs in the rooms and there isn’t much internet but I think that’s what made it even better, it’s the perfect place to have a quiet and serene couple getaway. Ms. Denise Sangster is the operations manager on-site and she made sure we had the best experience. Her recommendations for food and drinks were on point! The meals at the dining areas are incredible and the bartenders make great drinks and were so personable. As soon as travel is allowed again, we will definitely start planning our next trip back to Strawberry Hill. Highly recommend staying there!

It takes a lot of work to run a world-class hotel at the top of the hill. No one does this better than Diana Marley the manager of Strawberry Hill. She greeted us with grace and true hospitality. Her expertise shone through her staff. The food and ambience was delightful we thank you so much Diana.

Got there around 2:30pm although we had a reservation an hour before. Staff was very understanding as to why we were late and they were so so polite! Our server even helped us on deciding what drink to get. Even when we had our first plate since it was buffet style, the chef/cook that was handling the jerk nicely came over to remind us to get more food soon if we needed it as lunch was closing off soon. I seriously have no complaints! Even the male guard assisted us in explaining a few things. It was just an amazing few hours!

I spent my first trip ever to Jamaica, celebrating my Birthday at Strawberry Hill with one of my kids and a few other family members. The resort is spectacular, the views are breathtaking taking in every direction. The staff made us feel at home, at every turn - pampering us with phenomenal cocktails, amazing culinary delights and loving our 17 month old at every turn. Diana - thank you for all of your help and great conversation. Chris is very lucky to have you at the helm. You run a tight ship and it’s easy to see the staff and guests all feel lucky to be a part of your Shangri La. We will definitely be back soon - for our honeymoon ;)

Hi Folks, thank you for this amazing review we are thrilled and grateful. We all loved having you stay with us and just last night we were talking about you at the restaurant as no one was at your table !! Orville was mixing negronis for another couple and that prompted another conversation as well, so you are unforgettable in many ways !!.. I hope your Dad has success with his other ankle when the time comes and perhaps you can all come back by helicopter and we can meet you with the golf cart. We would be happy to have you visit again......soon. one love, Diana Marley

The view from this resort is incredible. We stayed 'Bamboo' which was a 2 bed colonial style cottage as was the last room available. Whilst a little dated, the view drew your attention away from this anyway. A very very peaceful resort to go and unwind. Would recommend going on a guided tour of the local areas too, Richard was our tour guide and he was great. The only slight downside to the resort was the quality of food for the price paid. I understand they have a slight monopoly on the area, but for the price paid per night and per meal i would expect the food to be of slightly better quality.
