#6 of 32 hotels in Kingston
Strawberry Hill Hotel, Spa & Gardens, a 26-acre mountain top resort, is located in the heart of one of the world's most famous coffee-producing mountain ranges, Jamaica's Blue Mountains. Listed in the New York Times #1 bestselling book, 1,000 Places To See Before You Die, Strawberry Hill is 3100 feet above sea level and features one of the most awe-inspiring views of the Blue Mountains in one direction as well as the city of Kingston in the other. On a clear day, one can see up to 100 miles from the property's infinity-edge pool, and at night the city far below becomes a twinkling mirror of the night sky. The property's 12 Georgian-style cottages, spa, exotic gardens and restaurant offerings underwent an extensive refurbishment in October 2011.

I attended their breakfast with a friend. We arrived early without a reservation. We called for several days and was unable to reach someone and arrived early, 9 :30 am on a Sunday morning. As the hotel is a gated property, we were given entrance after confirmation from the staff in the office. We parked and was escorted to the dining room. The property is perfectly manicured with breaking views of the Kingston. We were seated and paid our cover charge of $35 US for both of us dine. Our server was polite and had a full command of the menu. She served coffee and tea. The wait for breakfast was a bit long but was very well presented. Breakfast, jamaican and an omelet with bacon and cheese and a glass of OJ totalled only $35 US. We walked around and saw the rest of the grounds. A very nice morning.

My wife and I traveled here December 2019 so very long overdue but it was always my dream to come visit and the experience far exceeded expectations and any words that could describe it. The history of this beautiful estate accompanied by the unforgettable views and incredible staff and restaurant that accompany it makes for an experience like none other. It is the perfect place to escape to and truly relax and appreciate another side of life. I could not recommend enough to come here as I will be back with my dad soon and wife shortly after as it will forever be my favorite place I’ve ever traveled.

Nice quiet location. Amazing views and very friendly staff. The Highgate house in which we stayed was great. Food was also very good. Would definitely go back. Excellent for bird watchers and there are some great short hikes nearby.

My husband Theo and I stayed at Strawberry Hill in November 2019. My husband is from Jamaica, so we came to Strawberry Hill to celebrate our anniversary after we visited family. The staff were incredibly kind from the start and even upgraded our room because they knew it was our wedding anniversary. All of the rooms are these private cabins each with their own beautiful views of the mountains and trees that go on for miles and miles. There are no TVs in the rooms and there isn’t much internet but I think that’s what made it even better, it’s the perfect place to have a quiet and serene couple getaway. Ms. Denise Sangster is the operations manager on-site and she made sure we had the best experience. Her recommendations for food and drinks were on point! The meals at the dining areas are incredible and the bartenders make great drinks and were so personable. As soon as travel is allowed again, we will definitely start planning our next trip back to Strawberry Hill. Highly recommend staying there!
