This is a wonderful mission and ministry to former street children and disabled children that also has a guest house for those traveling to Haiti, there is the opportunity to simply stay or to donate and volunteer time while residing at st. Joseph s. The beautiful building was rebuilt after the earthquake bucket by bucket through the work of loving...

I stayed there pre earthquake. And vowed never to support it again. The feeling that the kids were "paraded" all over the states to sing and dance essentially for their keep is uncomfortable. Also once these kids stop being cute then what and how do they make a living? No trades are taught. No important life skills. Also have a...

I have stayed at SJH 6 times over the years and it is ALWAYS a fabulous experience. The accommodations are immaculate, the food high quality, and the hospitality very warm. I love seeing the boys as they head off to services and school and then do their chores and homework at the end of the day. Staying here feels like...

If you are travelling to Haiti this small oasis offers a quiet, comfortable and friendly place to come home to. Michael is a superb chef and the boys gracious hosts. You won't get better value for your dollar anywhere in Port Au Prince.

There are guesthouses, and then there are guesthouses that add value that's hard to put your finger on. St. Joseph's is one of those that gives you so much more than a bed and a breakfast. It is a family, and not just any family, but one that thrives on creativity and love and moral support. You come away feeling...

I had a great stay at St. Joseph's. The hospitality was amazing, the food plentiful and delicious, and the rooms were more than adequate. The local knowledge of the SJF leaders was invaluable, and the ability to support a great non-profit an additional plus. They made my trip to Haiti.

This is a great place to stay if you are in the Port Au Prince area. Rooms are clean. Great rooftop lounge. Food is delicious. Great morning coffee available. Breakfast includes eggs and, pastries, bread fresh, topical fruit. Dinner includes meat, delicious veggies (my favorite was the eggplant), and fresh salad. Best of all was the great connection that we...

“I stayed at St. Joseph's many times for weeks at a time doing human rights work since 2004. Of course the earthquake made this impossible. But I did visit both the old and the new home under construction last June and the people--already most amazing--are even more amazing in picking up after the colossal quake. Go there by all means.”
