Charming Inn with a warm welcome by the landlady\head chef owner. Great home-made food in the evening and lovely beer. Comfortable guest rooms with views oner the valley to the coast. Homecooked breakfast that beats many 5 star hotels. This is a great place to make a base for visiting the other delights of north Wales - and there are... More

Excellent place to stay, room was great with a great view of the valley beyond as well as the coastal area. Was the only guest on a Monday night, however still had the choice of the menu, food was excellent, both for evening meal and breakfast and a local cask ale to boot, would recommend.

This place is really a great find, despite the difficult access to the place on our arrival, after the first night roads were no problem. The owners were very helpful , the bedrooms very good , with breakfast and evening meals all very tasty. Into the bargain the weather for a three days visiting was great a lot of sight... More

You will not be disappointed! Welcoming and friendly team made us so comfortable - we can't wait to go back! Huge room (a mini suite, really - space for seating, TV and tea/coffee making kit) as well as a huge bed - we slept like logs! Generous en suite too, incl a jacuzzi bath! Supper was delicious (great choice of... More

I absolutely adore this place. Awww from the hustle and bustle is this little haven of tranquility. Lovely rooms The owners and staff are simply lovely and go out of their way to make your stay one to remember. I have been 3 times and will return again. The minute I walk through the door I feel a weight has... More

Planned a long weekend in the Llandudno area to visit Bodnant Gardens, but hotel we'd chosen in Llandudno could only offer the Sunday and Monday, so looked around for somewhere for the Saturday night and found the Hawk & Buckle, 'in the middle of nowhere'. Great choice. Lovely peaceful location, lovely place, lovely countryside. Nice comfortable room (they have 7... More

Stayed with my young son and 7 year old daughter - had a lovely stay and Siwan made us feel very at home and welcome. Food, beer and rooms wonderful with a fantastic patio area for admiring the views. Great place. Really enjoyed.

We stayed in Room 8 a luxury room. Massive comfy bed with a good size room. The double spa bath was very much appreciated. Sat nav took us straight to the location which is far from the madding crowd in a lovely small village but close enough to visit all the North Wales sea-side resorts and attractions.

booked the Hawk & Buckle for a birthday meal with friends while at a holiday home near Nantglyn/Denbigh for the weekend. The food was perfect, home cooked local sourced food cooked to perfection! The service was exceptional, staff friendly & welcoming! Will definitely book again.
