We visited the Ty Glyn for one night before graduation at Aberystwyth University. We couldn't praise the staff more highly. They really made us feel welcome. We had cream tea on arrival which was a lovely start to our stay. The rooms had beautiful views and were very comfortable. Evening meal and breakfast was excellent.

We visited Ty Glyn a week or so back. We couldn't praise the staff more highly. They were a very helpful, chatty crew and were the hotel's strongest point. All food was of top quality and attractively presented and the position of the hotel was peaceful in a most attractive setting. The bedroom we had was large with a very... More

We have stayed in this hotel twice and are staying again in July. Lampeter had few hotels, two awful, and one, The Falcondale, is v v expensive. We wanted a good value, clean friendly hotel to stay in without breaking the bank. This place does it. It is officially a restaurant with rooms. Breakfast is excellent. Continental if the hotel... We stayed this month for 3 nights. Throughout the stay the service was friendly and professional. Our room was very comfortable, roomy and clean with excellent shower. The views overlooking the back of the hotel were absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was very good as was our meal in the restaurant. I suffer from coeliac disease and the staff seemed to have... More

A beautiful oasis of calm in the west Wales countryside. Our room at the back of the hotel gave us lovely views of the garden and surrounding countryside and we spent a weekend uninterrupted by 'normal' life. Great for access to some beautiful spots in Cardigan Bay, none more beautiful perhaps than the small seaside town of New Quay and... More

We had a little trip out to Tyglyn for dinner during our stay at Aberaeron. The service was brilliant, a young man with a beard(sorry I didn't get his name) served us and he was so nice and welcoming without being snooty as we thought the place might be. We don't usually do places like this. Exactly the right amount... More

We liked this place. We were staying at cottages across the road and had Sunday lunch here. It was great, good food, portions and very reasonable (£15 per person for 2 courses). Came back for a meal one evening which was equally as good. The hotel itself is a bit tried and dated and in need of an upgrade, but... More

We wanted our sons naming ceremony here, as we held our wedding and daughters naming ceremony at the Tygln 10 yrs and 2 yrs ago respectively. From date changes, food changes, to party number changes nothing has been too much trouble for the hotel. The day itself was fantastic, with Manager Mark ensuring that everything ran smoothly, we had full... More
