Silversands Grenada has garnered a reputation for its strategic location, nestled close to pristine beaches and local dining, offering guests a secure and enhanced stay. The hotel's sophisticated atmosphere and luxurious amenities, including a stunning pool and beach access, receive high marks from guests. However, opinions on service are split, with commendations for attentiveness alongside critiques for inconsistency.
Cleanliness is largely celebrated, although some have noted lapses in towel and room service. While the spacious, serene rooms are popular, the value proposition is debated, given the pricey food and additional services.

Silversands Grand Anse is a beautiful property which provides guests a luxurious and calm experience. It is located in a very busy, and at times noisy, neighborhood of Grand Anse, and yet once you are in the hotel property itself, you feel as if you are truly somewhere special. The owner has executed a beautiful vision as seen in the hotel's architecture, layout, and artwork collection.
Each and every employee is courteous, friendly, and greets everyone with a smile. For the most part the Front Office staff was responsive, but always professional and pleasant. The Hotel Manager, Laurence Georget, has her finger on the pulse of everything going on at the hotel, and she interacts with guests on a very personal level. Ownership is very fortunate to have Mme. Georget overseeing Silversands Grenada.
Regarding Food & Beverage, the service at The Grenadian Grill and The Beach Lounge can be terribly slow. It was frustrating that each day we ate lunch there, that they were repeatedly out of some items listed on their menu. It would be a nice addition if they offered a cold soup on their menu. Oddly enough, they currently have gazpacho listed on their menus, but it was never available and we were told they are permanently removing it from their menus. Our Breakfast Room food and service experience was top notch, as was our Thai-fusion dinner at Asiatique. We want to reiterate how wonderful the dining rooms' staff and beach staff were during our stay.
Housekeeping does a top notch job at keeping the public spaces clean, however our experience was that there is inconsistency in guest room cleanliness and presentation. Our sense is that more hands on training and paying more attention to detail would provide a consistent guest room experience.
The Spa is beautifully designed, and our treatments were therapeutic, relaxing, and enjoyable. As with the rest of the hotel, we found that the staff at the Spa was wonderful. As for the 24-hour Fitness Center, it is small, but filled with lots of quality equipment.
We wish to express our gratitude to all the staff at The Silversands Grand Anse for making our vacation so wonderful.

The entrance to Silversands Anse is one of the best we have ever seen; 100 metre infinity pool with blue Caribbean beach and sea in background & palm trees framing the picture. What a magnificent setting to check-in at the hotel. We were in a garden room and the room itself was excellent. Comfortable bed, mosquito nets, a great shower, bath (not used), free coffee which tasted good and very good air-con. The patio/verandah area with the garden room was comfortable, felt secluded and on your own to enjoy an evening drink. Pool area seemed to have lots of bed and efficient waiters. There are however only a small number of beds on the beach, crammed into a small space reserving the rest of the hotel beach for their exclusive villas. A bit annoying as the villas seemed empty. There is some sort of cryptic booking system for these beach sun loungers, utilising the staff to “reserve” a bed – it’s certainly not “first come first serve” and I witnessed empty beds until around lunchtime which was very frustrating when you wanted a lounger on the sand. All staff were brilliant. Spa area is brilliant – another quiet pool (no music), a great gym and stretch area, steam and ice room, shower and treatment rooms. We used this a fair bit for some peace and quiet and you can also use this on the day you leave after checking out (it has small lockers) which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was fine, but all we really had was fruit, toast, coffee. Restaurants were pretty expensive and the mark-up on wine was insane. A bottle of Marques de Riscal Verdejo 22, which I drink a lot, retails for around $10 in the UK, on the wine list here (with taxes, service) it was $170 – a 17 times mark up is eye wateringly high even if it does need imported. We thus avoided the hotel restaurants and ate in local beach restaurants where wine was better value and the food was fine. A shame - that wine mark up, like a corked Margaux, left a bad taste in the mouth, hence the 4 stars. A great, if expensive, hotel right on the beach.

Wow, I absolutely loved my stay at the silversands ! The concierge was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was fantastic - you could easily walk to other restaurants along the beach, and I felt really secure. Oh, and by the way, the hotel picks you up from the airport in such a stylish way! Don't miss out on the expedited airport service either! Loved that the villas are structured together but still had so mich privacy also loved breakfast ! The place is nice !

A friend and I stayed at the Silversands Grenada for 1 week during mid-August. We enjoyed our vacation overall, but felt Silversands could improve on numerous fronts. We want other travelers coming to Grenada to be well-informed when making a decision on where to stay
Pros: - Amazing weather (hot and humid but lovely) - Beautiful location - Beautiful property (beach front and the longest pool in the Caribbean!!) - Rooms are very aesthetic - Easy to get a taxi to town or around the island - Very friendly and accommodating staff members (for the most part) - Lovely spa with amenities (gym, sauna, steam room, pool, etc) - Spa service was great (I recommend the 90 minute serenity massage/facial) - Great complimentary breakfast for guests (buffet style)
Cons: - Extremely slow service (aside from a few lovely members of the staff) - Felt ignored often by the pool, not approached by members of staff for drinks or food orders - Had to call multiple times for room service dishes to be cleared (took 1.5 days) - Bedding had strong mildew smell once after turn down service - Overpriced food for the quantity and quality (Sails restaurant has way better bang for your buck!) - Many food dishes were “out of stock” - Lack of responsiveness from pool staff (would ask for a food item and they would not return for 30+ minutes or if that item was out of stock, they would not mention it and just ignore us) - Drinks would take 20-30 minutes to arrive despite it being the low season and there not being many guests - AC will not go lower than 19 degrees Celsius (73 degrees F) - Often only 1 restaurant to choose from that was open during the day or at night (Grenadian grill or Asiatique)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Silversands (we stayed for a week late January through early February). The property is beautiful and well-maintained and the pool really is impressive. The beach area is a bit small, but we had no issue securing an umbrella and chairs each morning. I've added some photos of the beach, as I found it hard to find many online as I was researching the property. I will note that there was a lot of seaweed on the beach on our first day, but it seems that the beach was cleaned up all days after.
The included breakfast is quite nice -- great selection and I liked the fact that you could order an a la carte item along with the buffet. I agree with other reviewers that the food is otherwise unimpressive. For a resort of this caliber, we expected a bit more for dinner. We ate at Asiatique our first night there, and it was by far our most expensive meal in Grenada and the most disappointing.
That said, drinks were great and service was friendly. It's a quiet resort and didn't feel crowded (I don't know if we were just staying there at a time of minimal capacity or if the design of the place lends itself to feeling spacious).
The spa is worth a visit. Both my service and my husband's were fantastic and the atmosphere is lovely. We enjoyed visiting the sauna and ice room (so cool!) throughout our stay. Those amenities are available to hotel guests at any time.
I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. To summarize: PROS: Beautiful pool, lovely property, great breakfast, nice spa, good drinks CONS: Restaurant food could be better, additional evening entertainment would be nice

Lovely property, gorgeous pristine beach and pool, great location close to local restaurants!
Do not stay at LALUNA, which we had initially booked and immediately checked out. Laluna was dilapidated and run down. Looked nothing like the photos posted online. All of the landscaping was dead. There was no glassware and food was served on paper plates. We were told that there would be no towel service, and that would only be allowed to have one towel each for the entire stay. The pool looked like some dirty kids pool at a cheap hotel. A refund was refused, but have absolutely no regrets switching hotels to the Silversands, which is the best property on the island.

This is an exceptional hotel. Probably the best rooms in any beachside hotel anywhere in the world. It's 100 metre pool and a stunning beach adds much. The staff are superb, kind and attentive and always friendly. The downside as others have mentioned, is the mediocre food offerings. Breakfasts were good (the egg station is always on its game) but the Grenadian is overpriced and very ordinary (no real evidence it is a grill). The Asian offering was better but served in the breakfast area lacked any feeling of being Asian. Our other comment is about the lack of any bar. There is a strange room off the lobby that seems to open erratically but why no walk up beach bar, there's room for one? We snuck round to 61 West for sun-downers! The new manager will we hope get Silversands up to genuine 5 stars and we will return!!

My husband and I spent a week at Silversands. The property is beautiful and the staff was very welcoming we we arrived. Walking into the lobby and seeing the infinity pool that goes all the way down to the beach is a great first impression. We were in Hotel 2 and we loved our room. The floor to ceiling windows were great and we loved the balcony.
The beach was nice and the beach attendants were helpful, bringing us cold water to our loungers. There are not many loungers on the beach but combined with the pool side loungers, I think there was always a spot for guests.
We found the food at the resort to be a mixed bag. I had originally chosen Silversands over another resort due to the many vegan items on the online menus. So it was super disappointing on our first day to go to the Grenadian Grill and find out that the vegan black bean burger on the menu does not exist. The server did not appear to have any idea what vegan meant as she suggested a vegetarian item instead. We ended up having some really disappointing salads and french fries, which totaled nearly $100 USD. We never went back to this restaurant.
The other restaurant at the resort, Asiatique, was also wildly expensive. The fried rice dish was $44 USD. But the food was good, there were many vegan options, and the servers and hosts at Asiatique were all super helpful and lovely. We went to Asiatique several times during our stay.
We did run into a couple maintenance issues during our stay. We received a letter advising us that we would be without water in our room for a couple nights. Luckily the water shutoff was after midnight, so it wasn't a huge deal, but still not great. The issue that was much worse was some kind of faulty alarm in the hallway right outside our room. This resulted in constant beeping for nearly two days. There was one night of our trip where the beeping was so loud, all night, that even the fan in our room could not drown it out. We were unable to sleep and quite annoyed. The staff was not very helpful with this issue and just kept telling us it would be fixed. I would expect a five star resort to be able to resolve that issue much quicker.

The property is well laid out, service is outstanding and location is perfect on one of the best beaches on the island but away from the buzz that is just a five minute walk away.
Yes, this place is very pricey but you can see where the money is going. Expanding on that, there is a lot of staff to support you throughout, the room furnishings are high end (Hansgroghe Axor in bathrooms, natural stone tile, cristoffle glasses), property materials are all high quality natural stone, a large array of Diavaliet speakers at the grill, and a proper spirits and cigar bar.
What was surprising was how relatively kid friendly the property was with the smaller pool in the front and space to run around.
Special callout to Sherif who made us feel welcome, the housekeeping staff and the gentleman at Puro who gave me an excellent crash course on rum.
Overall we had an outstanding stay and was a nice relaxing finish to our trip to Grenada. Looking forward to staying again when we visit Grenada again.
