Me and my husband stayed for 10 days the best vacation ever Beautiful spacious room very clean and comfortable bed with big screen TV. The grounds are clean and no trolley to get around everything is close by the beach, restaurants and lobby and ofcouse pools The staff keeps you entertained all day on the grounds and pool areas everything is amazing including food lots of variety at buffet different every day. The restaurants a la carte are all good and also have access to the Splash Royalton restaurants and resort. Would definitely recommend this resort.

Just got back from 2 weeks at the Royalton Punta Cana, absolutely loved it . Great weather great people. Always someone there to help you if you need it. Great animation team , special thanks to Weenzer who came to see me , as he did with everyone else every day to make sure I was ok, very professional young man , I can still hear him shouting applause applause after someone had won or done well in the pool during the activity. It’s not a huh hotel, for me personally Solo travelers like myself would feel safe and well looked after . I also met Lucy , she works in the kids club, noe she such a character, alway a smile and a wave , the pool bar , was also excellent, when you’ve been there a few days they know what you want as soon as they see you . Not forgetting the coffee shop, I ended up there everyday , the ladies in there are fabulous.you can have as many towels as you want , and keep going back for more.

Room was cleaned everyday. An evening turndown some nights. The shower room was very tired. Damp stains on the ceiling. The only toiletries was a box of tissues, bar of soap and a tube of body lotion. Only 1 dressing gown supplied? The main buffet was still open when we arrived, it closed for renovation 2 days later along with The Zen. Trying to get into the A la carte restaurants was a bit of a hit or miss. Mostly a miss. After 8 days I made a formal complaint to the Lobby desk. Later that evening a note put through the door with a time to go the Hunters. We sat outside, the meal was lovely. We managed to get into the Jade, going at 6pm, we found almost impossible to get in. We went around 8pm and found it easier to get a table. We also got into the Italian going around 8pm. The food at the Grazier buffet was a drop in standard & variety to the Main buffet,which had closed. Food was never hot and mostly luke warm. There was burgers & Mexican food served from vans to help with the closures. Not exactly 5* dining. We had drinks & ordered food from the Sports bar and ended up walking out. 3 members of staff stood chatting and laughing beside the food area with not even a nod to say be with you soon. Terrible service and only a few customers at the tables. We & everybody else were also the unwelcome guests at a wedding that appeared to have taken over the main entertainment area. We walked down to the Splash area and the ducks and birds, as well as the turtles and tadpoles we saw was lovely. This section is in a very green area and was beautiful. The gardens up at Punta Cana section are very manicured. We weren't allowed into the VIP lounges at the PC airport although we went premium. Apparently Tui had no contract with them. We paid $18 for 2 bottles of Bud. We also had the drugs squad line everybody up before getting on the bus to the plane, a sniffer dog went down the line sniffing everyone's bags. I wouldn't go back or recommend this resort till the get it up to the standard its being sold as.

I am currently staying here at the Hideaway celebrating my 50th birthday, 8 other friends joined. We are have an amazing time so far. I have a swim out room ‘Lenny’ my butler SPECIAL thanks for not only making me feel like a star but also my friends who did not have the same accommodations. We had stayed in this hotel in 2019 (please see our glowing review of this trip - it was fantastic) and we had said that we would love to return to this perfect hotel in the Dominican Republic, which we did in July 2023. Like 2019, we upgraded to Diamond Club, hoping that this would make our holiday seem special. When we were checking in we were told that we we were being upgraded to the hideaway club, the Adults Only section, even though one of our party was still classified as a child. An hour later we were transported to the hideaway lounge to check in. This seemed to take forever - at least another hour. So two hours after arriving at the hotel we were given documents to sign. There was no mention of us being "diamond club", when we highlighted this we were asked to prove that we had paid for the diamond upgrade - luckily we had the paperwork with us to prove this. Not a great start! We were then introduced to our "butler" who would then prove illusive for the next 5 days, apart from the odd whatsapp message and our requests for restaurant bookings (that he still managed to mess up) - we arrived at one restaurant that our butler had "booked" for us only to be told that no booking had been made. Then we found out by accident that the diamond club get-together was being held - communication was poor, at this point we made a compliant to the lady, who gave the impression of being the "manager", and requested that our "butler" be changed. This lady told us that the hotel would make amends for the abysmal service that we had received for the first 5 days. We were then introduced to a second butler who was just as useless as the first one. Apart from 2 tatty bathrobes and 4 pairs of disposable slippers no other efforts were made by the hotel to make up for the abysmal start to our stay. After asking us if we were celebrating anything special, we advised our butler that we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and were overwhelmed (NOT) by the huge effort to mark this - a cheap and nasty banner on our door! What a way to mark this special occasion. How special did we feel! It was really bizarre when I asked if anyone had any food allergies - still trying to work out the relevance of that one. We received absolutely nothing else that we should have gotten as Diamond Club guests. In relation to restaurants, the food was generally good. Our favourite was the Asian restaurant. We had been warned by other guests not to go to the Dorada Restaurant because of the high incidents of food poisoning - we did go and survived - was supposed to be a special restaurant but no great shakes really - the service was slow. The general restaurant was good for breakfast and lunch - the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, there wasn't enough staff for the number of guests staying in the hotel - this meant that drinks service was very slow. Every time we went to a restaurant we were asked if there were any allergies - there were 2 members of our party that had allergies but it is unclear what action anyone in the restaurant took after being told of these - especially in the general restaurant. We did avail of the bar in the hideaway lounge a few times - we were put off by very ignorant lady who was supposed to be serving the drinks. On one day, and the last time we used this bar, my wife wanted a glass of white wine but was told she couldn't have one as there were only red wine glasses left. After making our feelings known about this pathetic response she poured out about 10ml of wine into the glass - I think this summed up how "special" our diamond experience was second time around! The grounds were well maintained and the beach was great - we stayed mainly in the diamond club area but there were others, who were not diamond club, also sunbathing in this area. The hotel grounds were immaculate! The maids, who cleaned the rooms, did a fantastic job - the rooms were spotless. They were also very friendly - maybe the butlers should undergo training by them. We did go to some of the evening entertainment - it was just average. The worst experience was the Michael Jackson night in the theatre - great dancing but the sound / acoustics were really poor - hard to make out the words for many of the songs. The shop prices were shocking - $15 for a small box of cotton buds - this is just one example - total rip-off. The day before our departure our imaginary butler sent a whatsapp message to say he would arrange for the porters to come round to our room and bring our luggage to the reception area. Needless to say the porters didn't arrive and we ended up taking our luggage to reception ourselves. Compared to our experience 4 years ago, which was totally fantastic, this was a total disappointment. The Diamond Club was a complete waste of money - this time round it was really only a restaurant booking service and nothing more, it was very impersonal and totally unreliable - amateurish I would say, at best. In our opinion, the hotel fabric is a bit like the management team - rundown!!!! No doubt that when hotel management read this review; and I do hope that they read our glowing review of the same hotel in 2019 as well, they will say that they will take on board our comments, etc, etc ( i can write the script) but the sad thing is management (the fuzzy haired lady in the hideaway lounge) did know about our issues 5 days into our holiday, promised to make up for this and did absolutely nothing. So please, don't feel the need to humour us with a false response of how you're going to make things better. We would not recommend this hotel and if you do book it, please don't waste your money on diamond club.

We are on our penultimate day and we are going to be sad to leave ! Don’t believe the bad reviews, it’s is absolutely beautiful here! Beach and sea - perfect Pool areas - perfect Rooms - great Food - steak restaurant and Thai restaurant lovely, buffet - similar to any other all inclusive, all fine. Staff VERY friendly, VERY attentive, nothing is too much trouble ! Thank you for a lovely stay 💕

I went to Royalton punta cana with the family and had a great experience. The staff was very attentive and very helpful. The room service was on point. She came every morning like clock work to take care of our room. We ordered room service after midnight and was there in less than half and hour. The bar at the pool “”Dipz” was spectacular. Hugo and Edwin were amazing and very attentive my cup was never empty, and on the other side Rikelvin, angel and Yohan as well always Paying attention making sure we didn’t miss a beat with our drinks. The Supervisor Dayana was also very good making sure her staff was on point but always smiles and charm. Really recommend the Steakhouse at the hotel. Yoel was the best, can’t complain , food came out on point and always attentive. Yohary also took care of her at the Steakhouse great service from him, we also saw him at the Diamond club beach bar and Yohary made us feel like Royalty. I really recommend this staff they are great.

Hotel is 3 star nothing more. Definitely in need of renovations and food was hit and miss. However the worst was being lied to all holiday. We had paid prior to arrival to reserve specific rooms that were interconnecting as we travelled with young children. On arrival one of the rooms wasn’t available until part way through our stay we were promised this would be refunded after check out. We had multiple conversations about will it be done because we didn’t understand why it couldn’t be processed now as we hadn’t got what we paid for. Lots of emails later and more promises it would be done or we would be contacted if there was an issue we have STILL NOT received our refund nearly 2 months later.

If I could give negative stars I would! This was the worst vacation I have ever been on. I have been to Punta Cana 7 times. This has ruined it for me! If not for a stunning beach I would have left day one! We had what is called Diamond Club! More like glass club or plastic club. The butler service was a joke at very best! Room had cracks in ceiling and peeling paint. Bath water was yellow! Tv wouldn't work and asked me to pay for channels even after we had it serviced multiple times. Nobody speaks English. Before you freak out I understand it is a none English speaking language and again I have been to the DR 7 times. I had to use a translator app for everything. Zero towels at the pool, if you want upgraded drinks you have to pay for them even though it clearly states they are free to upgrade. Did I mention the hookers at the bar yet having sex in the bathrooms with people ? Oh and did I mention the cocaine and sex I was offered by a hooker? Lovely resort for a family! If you get the correct drink at the pool from a wait staff it's like hitting the lottery! Food was mediocre at best. Trust me DO NOT GO HERE! I have pictures to prove it. I was assured by the district manager who I ran into that I would be looked after. By bay was a lie. Had two different butters and it's a joke. I was so excited to go here I can't even tell you. Was more stressful than work by a mile! I contacted Marriot who owns the chain and messaged with the CEO who did nothing but have his assistant call me and tell me they would look I to it and they could do nothing. It is a franchise owned by someone and they would not help either. This hotel should be shut down in my opinion. What a waste of money. Not a private beach so every minute someone is bothering you to buy something. So relaxing! NOOOOOOOT! When we went for dinner at the Asian restaurant I was told I couldn't order a salad once my meal came. No exceptions and rude. Am I crazy or is this all inclusive and Diamond club? Psssh what a joke! Save your money or just burn it in winter at least it will keep you warmer than the I r cold service here! They should rename this place promises we don't keep! I was offered an upgrade when I complained again after our stay. An upgrade for what? We stayed at the best level! Come back here? NEEEEEVER!

Traveled with a large group of 15. Everyone had a great vacation. Diamond club is worth the extra money and we enjoyed our swim up rooms as well. Our butlers Nelio and Omar were wonderful and made accommodations for our large group. Diamond bar on the beach had wonderful drinks and staff, especially Yurico who made sure we always had a mimosa in our hand while we were at the beach. The foam party and white Party were fun activities! The only reason we didn't give an excellent rating was due to the food. Best place we ate was definitely Jade (Asian cuisine) and food service was good but took 1.5 hours to get the food.
