The first room had a broken air conditioning unit and it was not on the beach. The next day I went from 1004 to 1612 on the beach, incidentally this what I made reservation for in the first place. After that everything else was good, except the food. The resort is a wellness all-inclusive but the food was trash. Grain and gluten in everything also to much soy for a wellness resort. We had a great time despitethe cross contamination. The excursions are incredible. The staff for the rooms and the ground were good to everyone.

We went to Melia Wellness in November 2024. Very nice resort. Very clean. Our concierge Daniel Michel was available throughout our stay. He took care of all our restaurant reservations and in-room needs. It is a very recommendable site for lovers of healthy food. The site is huge so you can expect to walk a bit.

After golf trips to Portugal the past 2 years we decided to go somewhere warm to play golf this year.
This resort is certainly not friendly for golfers like us.
Huge resort. We waited almost an hour for their tram service to take us to dinner last night. Tonight our dinner reservation is for 9:30 PM. then we get up at 6:00 to play golf. We are at the premium level, they are 80% full…. and the best we can get is a 9:30 reservation !!!
No hot water in the shower. Very poor concierge and internal transport.
nice rooms, good food. Generally excellent staff.

I recently stayed at the Meliá Punta Cana Beach Resort and had a mixed experience. While the grounds and beach were beautiful, the service and maintenance were subpar.

The good:
- The resort grounds are stunning and well-maintained.
- The beach is beautiful and has comfortable loungers.

The bad:
80% of the staff was distant and disinterested, especially compared to their treatment of English-speaking guests.
My room (in the "The Level" section) was in poor condition, with a damaged bathroom and a broken phone. I reported these issues to our butler, but they were never fixed.
We had problems with the shower (no hot water for two days) and the air conditioning (too cold).
When I reported these issues, it took a long time for them to be resolved.
We asked for a room change or a partial refund, but our requests were ignored.
Guest Services was unhelpful and dismissive.
The food was average, not worth the price of the hotel.

The exceptions:
Hilario, a bartender at the Quimera bar, and a waitress whose name I don't recall (starts with a "J") were both excellent.

Overall:
I cannot recommend this hotel. The poor service, maintenance issues, and lack of response to our complaints ruined our stay. With all the problems we encountered, we expected some kind of compensation, which unfortunately we did not receive. This hotel has the potential to be great, but it needs significant improvements in maintenance and customer service.

Additional notes:
It's unacceptable to experience these issues during a vacation that's supposed to be relaxing.
I hope this review is helpful.
