Literally stay anywhere else. If you stayed prior to 2019 you know it WAS a great hotel. Now with new management it is awful. They say they have all the amenities and restaurants but only 1 pool and 1 restaurant is open at a time. You have to walk 5 mins away just to get an all inclusive drink, No beach and they lie saying you get you get food and drinks at the beach nearby that you shuttle to. Tried reaching out to management for some kind of refund for the NON ALL INCLUSIVE stay I paid for but they just ignored me!!! BEWARE of old reviews -this is not the same hotel as when it was alsol luxury village. Oh and if you like timeshare salesmen they have those walking around too which makes up most of their guest!

I went to stay here and had to leave in 10 minutes because the smell of the sewage tanks was so strong I threw up and had a massive headache. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY when I asked for a refund, the manager only offered to give me back part of my payment if I gave them a good review.

The fishing lodge is a hidden gem. The artictecture is remarkable. This place is inspiring and something very special to explore. Its like a little city with everything you need. Lots of places to walk, eat, swim or just sit and relax. Ive seen a community in the Dominican Republic of this high caliber anywhere.

We just got back from spending the month of February at the Fishing Lodge in Cap Cana. We were not part of the all inclusive but did take part in a lot of the activities. The entertainment team of J.C, Ivan & Alondra we’re so amazing. They made each day special & we had so much fun with them.

We rented a condo direct from the owner but had access to the hotel amenities, shops, restaurants, etc of the fishing lodge. There are many storefronts - 90% closed or vacant. There were a few restaurants available and we landed at Bohemian Tapas for most of our stay (which was a great place). There was a sundries store and if you leave the complex, there's a small store in the "downtown" area of Cap Cana for groceries, beer, snacks, etc. Even that downtown area was vacant. With a car, we were able to explore to some of the other parts of Cap Cana, which were also vacant. We also purchased some groceries near Punta Cana and we cooked in our condo most days. On the nice side, it's quiet, the negative edge pool outside the living room door was beautiful, the service was good, and the restaurants that were available were tasty. Make sure you rent a car if you would like to escape!

From the minute you walk in to the time you leave. From Edwin the Bell man, Fernanda, Inocensio the bar tender, Boutista, Sergio, Huascar, Yissel, Yudelka Yunesis, Anotni to many to mention. They made our stay a memorable one. I would do it again and again.

This place was a conundrum to me. It was so beautiful but empty. I rarely saw any other guests while I was there. So...let's get to it. This resort is located inside the Cap Cana property. You can either stay at the hotel or rent an apartment from the many owners in the property. We did the later. The whole place is well kept and perfectly manicured...but empty. There is a very weird layout so it becomes confusing to figure out how to reach the rooms and then how to reach the common areas. There is a shopping area but all the stores are either closed, shut down or for sale -- which seems to be a common occurrence in Cap Cana. We were able to find a sundries store that was open for business. Although many restaurants were promoted within the resort, most of them where shut down. Walking through the replica of the Colonial City felt so eerie. Absolutely no people around (see attached pictures). Not even the Kids club was opened for business. I have to hand it to the entertainment staff. They did their best to entertain the 20 or so guests that made their way to the main pool. They tried hard to make things fun but it was hopeless. The pool was the only place one could see other guests. This resort does not have a beach nor beach access. It is located in a man-made marina that was devoid of people as well. The closes beach is 10 minutes away --by car-- and was not natural...it was also man made. There is WiFi in the resort but it costs $20 a day and only works in certain locations throughout the resort. Our apartment had no cable or dish service so the TV did not work. We needed an extra bed and had to pay $25 for a small roll-away that was brought in after much communications with the front desk. listen...this place is beyond beautiful but is dead. Nothing happened there and we were bored beyond belief. There was nothing for the kids or the adults. We found the place comfortable but a bore. I don't think we will be visiting this place again. We had a car and toured most of the Cap Cana property is most of was either abandoned, not finished or finished but empty. It was very weird!

The hotel - Alsol Luxery was great - very friendly staff and good service, but some irrational rules - God forbid you want to invite someone external for a meal - for they will be subject to greater scrutiny than if they are exiting Fort Knox. My elderly father, sister, brother in law and niece were made to wait in the sun while I was asked to provide all sorts of details and then told they had to go to the security office to pick up tickets...all the while they assumed I would know where said office is. Not staying here agin.

I made a reservation for this hotel on June 22 and I made the whole process and when I finish I received a confirmation number for my reservation 1360739243. On the morning (in the day that I supposed to check in Jun 23) when I was on my way I received a call from the hotel that my reservation was cancel because the credit card wasn't approved by the bank but I didn't receive any warning from the bank or TripAdvisor, when I called the bank they said that my credit card doesn't has any situation to cancelled the payment and then when I asked in the hotel if I can try the payment again with another credit card the answer was the hotel was booked and my reservation was given to another person instead of give me the chance to proceed with the payment again I fell very disappointed because I was on my way to the hotel to meet my family that was in the area so I had to cancelled all my plans for that reason and when I tried other hotels they were booked as well
