After reading all the negative reviews regarding this resort, I was a little concerned about going. We loved this resort. We had the best vacation and service was great. Our room was on the fourth floor facing the pool, great view and nice size patio. The room is very clean and stocked daily. All employees were amazing on our vacation. Very friendly reception staff and always available to answer any questions and registration was not a problem. Pool and evening entertainment was good. Variety of food at the buffet was good no idea what the bad reviews are about. My husband celebrated his birthday there the evening waiters were awesome a beautiful table set-up, wine and a birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday in Spanish for him it was amazing! Our waiter Joege Luis that we had for most of our vacation was the best ever! The pool is amazing and kept very clean. The beach and view from beach buffet and bar is stunning. Most of the negative reviews I have read about this resort is that people book this resort and think they should be able to use all the amenities at the other Riu's onsite and they paid half the price give your head a shake. We stayed here for two weeks January 2-16, 2023 and we will definitely be going back!…
Highly recommend this resort - keep in mind the price compared to the other RIU's - wonderful stay at an affordable price. One drawback was lack of alcohol in the rooms - due to Covid, a few things were not open but probably will be fully up & running soon.
This is a really nice resort, it's just the English that is not really good from some staff the food was great our servers did a really good job Anthony, Julissa, Jose Miguel, Sony. from front desk Abel, Miguel Michael. The bar Gregrio and the team with the fun and excitement the entertainment team Willy, Coco cola, Emily , Bonkey and Shanae they were amazing and one of the best part of our Vacation. We are looking forward to staying with you all again.
Fun ambience at the hotel accompanied with wonderful service staff. Abel at the Front Desk is not just a charmer but helpful in all ways and so also is Pacheco. Anni, Anderson, Velos and the others are always caring in the dining area🍽. Not forgetting Isaac in the Main Bar, ready to make you happy with the best concoction of liquors🍹 Kind and patient Indyra, working away to make up your room as good as new. All said and done, the beach however was not my favourite - choppy waters, but I did catch a beautiful sunrise - the gateway to my dream🥂
Fun spot however AVOID the vendors while walking towards the beach TIENDA CARREY especially, they will take advantage of you, avoid it altogether. Riu should regulate their activity better as they know most patrons are inebriated and having aggressive predatory vendors right outside their hotel on the way to their beach is bad for business. However it’s not part of riu so i would still recommend. Just ignore and avoid the vendors.
Date of arrival 6th February 2023 Room no. 430 Arrival and check in went ok. Instructed were room was situated. No porter service. Rep Had the TUI rep who was a total waste of time. Gave us duff information. Room. Room spacious and clean with plenty of wardrobe space, coat hangers and drawer space. Nice dark curtains to keep the early morning sun out. Fridge not working on arrival but was soon rectified after reporting to reception. Only 2 plug sockets in room. Shower water was always just warm and not much power in the shower. Cover on shower waste was dangerous as always sticking up. Twice water not working but rectified after contacting reception. Cleaners did a decent job but sometimes on extra busy days didn’t get room cleaned till 5pm which was as we were returning to room. Toilet paper very thin, advise to take your own. Woken every morning at 6am by people slamming doors. Restaurant Had a lovely waiter named Santos, worked hard and always knew we only drank water. Food was very poor and quite often cold. Very much the same every day. Food not labelled which could have been very dangerous as have allergies. Never before have we seen rice pudding and jelly for breakfast. Seemed to be no dress code and didn’t really appreciate at evening people going in in swimwear. Snack bar Usual stuff, leftovers from the main restaurant Ok if you like burger, hotdogs, chips and pizza. Fruit available also. Pool area. Always clean and pool cleaned regularly. People putting towels on beds at 6am then not using beds till late afternoon. More sun beds needed. Should close at 6pm but people would be going in at all times of night. Needs sorting. Music was far to loud and only played Dominican music would have been nice if it had been varied and a lot quieter. Bar and entertainment areas. The staff worked very hard and long hours. Always happy and kept areas very clean. The tea machine up in Budas bar was cleaned very regularly. Overall. Would have helped if staff had more knowledge of English. Would appreciate if hotel management asked parents to keep children under control in restaurant and possibly after 9pm. Better dress code for restaurant in evenings (at least shorts and T-shirts . Not enough toilets. More tea/coffee machines needed.…
Helpful, friendly staff, clean rooms, nice beach, and great buffet! We love the Waterpark and will be back again next year! This review is supposed to be 200 characters; but I am not really sure what else to say.... one night a Columbian family staying down the hall caused a disturbance and were fist fighting, but that is not the resorts fault.
Me and my friends decided to take a break and traveled to Punta Cana. We didnt like the food at the hotel it was average. We went to the casino a couple of times and was our favorite spot, staff is amazing. We Will definitely return in the future, but please improve the food and drinks.
Casino Diamante, in the hotel that I stayed on my Macao vacation, where everything was very good service from the spectacular hotel and from the casino in the cashier, the waitresses give you free drinks, it has an ATM in short we played at all the tables but it was Better where we tried our last day at SICBO, where we scored 100 points and the champagnes came to the table to celebrate. my best holidays
Honestly room was great, drinks were great, food was okay for all inclusive. Had a great time, staff is fun. Bar on the beach was great for food. Beach was super close to walk to. All in all good time for the price-don’t expect a champagne fountain on a beer budget.
