The Hotel is a bit of an older style hotel, and much older than the pictures revealed, but it was still nice. The room service was EXCELLENT! Specifically I truly appreciated our room service lady CARMEN who brought sunshine into our room any time she showed up. She was the sweetest person who truly cared to ensure my friends and I had EVERYthing we needed inside the room! From extra towels, water bottles, coffee packets (since Im a coffee person)! Also their 24/7 food room service was awesome! I loved their pepperoni pizza made in true Italian style with thin crust. The only thing I did not like is that I waited in line for 40min on Monday just to Check out! They had many people standing around but only 2 people doing both check in and check out. Perhaps the management could reassess the employee schedules to ensure there are extra personnel available at the reception desk during the known upsurge times when most tourists come into or leave the hotel (i.e. Friday to Monday stays). Especially when you are rushing to get to the airport!

I am making this post to raise awareness for everyone regarding future travels. On the evening of our arrival at our destination, I woke up outside in the night in this condition, without my phone or jewelry. I was on the hotel premises, just a few steps away from my room. I had gone alone to my room to sleep, but unfortunately, I never made it. A complaint was filed, but the corrupt police closed the case, concluding that I simply fell. There was no recourse or medical assistance offered to me, and they refused to show me the surveillance videos, claiming they were under maintenance that night. Everything points to the fact that I was attacked, dragged to the ground, and robbed of whatever I had on me at that time. When my boyfriend realized I wasn't in the room, he searched for me outside but couldn't find me. I lay on the ground in my own blood for 3 or 4 hours, and when I woke up, I had no memory of anything, probably due to the blow to the head. My face, legs, feet, and arms are also injured. Please be cautious when traveling to other countries, and if possible, never be alone, even for 10 minutes. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, and if my story can raise awareness about the dangers, then I am sharing these difficult photos. 📍Be live Collection, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Serious safety incident
A long review, but definitely worth the read!! We were a group of 6. (Two couples and 2 girls) We are early twenties and wanting to find an affordable resort. We had friends who had been here before so we figured we would give it a try as well! We had read prior to coming about the "VIP" Adults only side, but didn't think that fit our criteria (Lack of research on our end, but it felt very very misleading). My boyfriend and I had spent 2 nights in the regular side and couldn't do it any longer. The buffet was inedible, our room A/C didn't work, the rooms we not clean, broken showers and front and back doors would not lock! I felt very unsafe and put chairs against the doors when I fell asleep. Our lock box wouldn't work, there was no elevator so if you have any type of mobility issues request a bottom floor room. We had complained about our room and nothing was done. We payed a good chunk of money and ended up upgrading to the "VIP Adults Only" while our other friends stayed on the regular side. It felt like an entirely new resort. The rooms were gorgeous and modern, beautiful view and jacuzzi in the standard room. The VIP buffet was phenomenal and something to look forward to everyday! Our friends who didn't upgrade were shocked on how much nicer it was, and how much better the service and friendliness of the workers were on the VIP side. We really enjoyed having access to premium liquor, it made a big difference in the drinks. The restaurant were a huge disappointment, as they had the same food at the VIP buffet. I do recommend the Japanese one. The entertainment was definitely better on the regular side, and we spent lots of time in the main pool doing the activities with our friends. Definitely keep a for the daily activities, they were so much fun!! The beach was good, We didn't spend any time swimming in it nor did I see anybody else swimming, but it was great to lay and relax while having drinks and enjoy the beach snack bar (VIP). If your on the VIP side, they had lots of day beds and comfortable cushioned chairs. If you're on the regular side, they seem to have a shortage of chairs, and people leave their towels on them all hours of the day. This also applies to the main pool, there wasn't a lot of chairs at the pool and alot of people didn't have anywhere to sit or lay their things. The vendors on the beach were pretty aggressive with their sale tactics, they were extremely consistent with you buying from them and never leaving you alone. At one point we were getting yelled at by one vendor. We did meet a nice vendor who was respectful, we went on the party boat and did parasailing since it was pretty cheap and had an AMAZING time. (I really recommend the party boat, especially if you are younger) The club was okay. The workers had tried to get guys in our group to pay for drinks several times even though the drinks are free for Be Live Guests till 12AM. They got pretty rude when we tried to explain we were Be Live Guests, we ended up just leaving. Unfortunately, the night before we were leaving the resort, my water had been spiked. My partner and I were at the beach bar. After 2AM the bar definitely does feel sketchy. My partner and I left as I felt pretty uncomfortable. It wasn't even 10 minutes after leaving the bar and we had realized I had been drugged. It was an awful experience. My partner and I were terrified, we called family who had similar experiences and they had helped us through. I spent my whole evening and night drinking water and never left my drink alone, I had an open drink (No lid) which was a mistake! Always drink out of something with a lid. I did file a complaint before I left the resort, but didn't expect much to come out of it, and nothing ever did. A quick summary of my stay, I would definitely upgrade if you prefer a more luxurious stay, but overall I would pick a different resort. If you're a women, please be very very cautious at night time, even if you are with your partner. Always keep a lid on your drink, and always be cautious because getting your drink spiked can happen so fast! I wouldn't go back to this resort, but it is an affordable place if you're young and just wanting to drink and have fun with friends. A group of guys friends who had been there before went down a month after us and enjoyed their time drinking. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't great and wasn't worth the money. A big appreciation to the resort workers, they definitely work hard!!!

This vacation was fine, but we learned that all inclusive resorts and Punta Cana are not for us. Be live pricing was a value for us this time, but most of the visitors are there to do Club Med for grownups and drink a lot. Apartamentos are caticorner across the street from a store that pumps dominican disco music from 11pm to 3 or 4 am. It is very loud, and they are next to the policia. Seems to be totally legal and ok. We thought it would would only be Friday and Saturday, but it got even Louder on Sunday. We had to move rooms. It's a pity, because our first room had 2 levels, a great view and a balcony. It was a lot of space for us and our 2 teenagers. But sleeping at night is important, especially on a relaxing vacation. Now we have the same number of beds and rooms with just a little less space. The second room is quiet, but it's got other tradeoffs. The bathtub is an old design where the edges angle down (instead of in) and drain out to the floor, so it leaks all shower water to the floor. Which would be fine if the bathroom tiles angled toward the drain in the floor instead of away. The pool of water got all the way out to the bedroom. The lovely maids helped us out by putting down 2 bath towels to absorb shower water for the rest of our stay. We now have mosquitos. I haven't seen any mosquitos in this resort or Punta Cana except this apartment. We were able to leave windows open in the 1st apartment and never saw more than a single house fly come in. In contrast, we killed 9 mosquitos on the first night in the 2nd apartment. The buffet restaurant is very good. I figured out that the chicken is solidly excellent, as well as the paella. Sometimes the food temperature is not appropriately warm, but the patio dining is so nice! The variety of food is great, and the pastry chefs are very good. There's also ice cream in a cooler near the desserts. There aren't as many wait staff on the patio, so if you need better service eat inside. I love the mixed salads: arugula salad, artichoke salad, bacon salad, etc. There's always fruit and nuts and cheese if you need a snack, and at breakfast there's almond and soy milks. Side note. My son somehow got food poisoning at the buffet one night eating nothing but french fries, curry rice, a bite of fried eggplant, bread with butter, cookies, cake, pie, and sherbet. None of that sounds like it would give you food poisoning, but maybe it was the fried eggplant bc we didnt get sick and didn't eat that. The beer Presidente is pretty good. The pina coladas + dark rum are great, and soda + rum plus splenda works. There are few diet sodas to be found, only water, pepsi and seven up. I brought powdered sugar free hydration mix. Water and coffee are often a challenge to come by. The glasses and cups are small, and service couldnt keep up with our thirst for water and coffee, except at the specialty restaurants. The self-service coffee station by the main pool is closed in the morning. There aren't any self-service water stations. Pros bring their own giant thermos mugs for alcohol or coffee. The bartender on the beach near the adults only section will give you whole bottles of water! No others that we could find. Specialty restaurants: you can eat it them for half the days you are at the resort. We got 3. Orale was meh. Mylos was awesome, and Lobster was fine. I'd go to Mylos literally every day of a six day vacation if I could. The atmosphere was beautiful, piano music, presentation of food, delicious options. Desserts were special - creme brulee. Everything was perfecto. The beach is a little breezier at Cabezo de Toro than Bavaro but lots of places to find shade! There's a great quiet cove on a nature preserve (no hotels) a little bit north of Be Live if you're willing to walk 30 or 40 minutes north up the beach. Coral is not fully covered by sand, so walk carefully or wear water shoes if you walk out into the water there. We were visiting right during a giant seaweed flotilla to the Gulf of Mexico. The water and beach was not clear, but it's not a great swimming beach anyway. The main pool is the place to be for the most people and activities. People reserve chairs there by 9 in the morning by leaving their towels on them. Kind of weird and annoying, this tradition. The gardens and lanterns are really nice, so walking from the apartamentos to the restaurants is pretty and safe. Think of it like a stroll before and after you eat, good for digestion. Getting into and out of Punta Cana from the US: fill out the immigration form before you go to the Punta Cana airport. You need one filled out Online for both directions. Even when returning the to the US. It was one of the most stressful points for me, going both directions. Bad wifi, bad website, bad data. I dont know, but it was an awful surprise. I was expecting a paper form, and that would have been so much better.

Beach was clean workers did a great job early mornings racking up the seaweed that the night tides bought in.. Food was pretty good and chef did a great job and i complimented him on it. Gift shop was nice and the beach lunch eatery was awesome..almost like home. On our 2nd week my friend got word her husband died at home here in Canada New Brunswick so we had to get sunwing to fly us out 6 days before our trio ended and at over $700 American. Here is why we will never ever return to Be Live Collections....We checked in to the lobby with another couple, they were processed within 20 minutes oh yes and it was 130 in the morning when we arrived. The young man waiting on us bummed smokes off my friend was arguing with a young man who was buying cigarettes from front desk then was on his own phone talking to someone he knew till an older worker came from out back and said hey take care of your customers...he then started making fun of my size and my breast saying his nana had big ones that milk came out ect....he did this 2 other times and then told my friend who is very tiny that he would like to pick her up and carry her around,we are both age 69 with mobilities problems and in the dark an hour and a half later he takes us to building 17 and a security guard mets us there we had to walk up the 2 flites of stairs and when they let us in the room i was very nervous with 2 men in there at 330am. Our safe never worked till day 3,our key card to get in room was nitemare every time we came back..if the maids wernt there to let us in we had to go back to lobby in dark to get it reactivated. Every night. The venders on the beach were constant, very annoying and freaking rude. And the ones up along the walkway by main lobby were literally grabbing your arms.My girlfriend whos husband just died they grabbed at her while she was sobbing and she passed out for a moment,i saved her by letting her down on sidewalk easy. Water was constantly leaking from ceiling above toilet and by doorway on way out..we kept a towel under the drips...took 4 days for them to fix them. The smell of burning garbage for the entire day from the locals just across the way and i believe they lived there and were maybe the annoying beach venders, from our balcony we could see their small homes hear the dogs barking day and night and twice it looked like police or gangs arriving there shouting from bullhorns was very frightening I pity the poor tourists staying in building 18 and 19 as they were practically in their backyard just separated by high wire fence. For the young man on the desk that night of February 19 he should be fired. Those vender should be allowed on the beach for a limited time only and not harasses people who are trying to enjoy..I buy my stuff at your gift shop. The walkway is very dangerous at night with those missing stones. Sorry to leave a week early for my friends death but i couldnt stay another week there. If so we would have went elsewhere.

This was my first solo trip out of the country. I was very excited to relax in all the extra amenities that this resort offered. I was greatly disappointed..... I upgraded to the swim out suite with butler service. The swim out pool was dirty (never cleaned The main pool was dirty. Leaves bugs floating everywhere. The food was ok. My butler introduced himself when I first arrived and that was the last I heard of him. The furniture was stained and tired... Overall I was Not Impressed.

Don't go here. We just had the Worst vacation in this resort. They said 9 restaurants but open few a day. And the restaurant capacities are low. So if you don't line up early at 8am to book, they will say it's all booked.

We booked April 8-15 2023. Funny thing about that is the resort was fully shutting down on the 15th. And we didn’t know anything when we booked. They never ever should have booked anyone on that resort when they are literally shutting down! Day 1 was good../ lots of people and the pool was packed with party people. We couldn’t book any restaurants because the girl who does the bookings said the system was down… and wouldn’t be back up until Monday. On Monday afternoon she booked us into the Japanese restaurant because all I wanted was the tapanyakki… so she booked us in for 930 on the Tuesday. We get there and they don’t do the tapanyakki at 930. Only 9. They did end up doing it for my friend and I only. They were wonderful. Went back to try and book another restaurant the next morning.. 3rd in line and she told us there were no restaurants available. She said that to us every day of our trip cause every day we had to line up. She was horrible and hopefully when they reopen they don’t let her back. Everyone hates her. All she did was laugh at everyone and say no. Guess when you’re out of a job you don’t really care. The pool bar shut down on Wednesday. There was no vodka left on resort on Wednesday. Now let me talk about the rooms. The beds were probably less comfortable than the beds in prison. The TVs didn’t work. There were no alcohol beverages in the room. The resort had less and less people every day. We did meet some wonderful people unfortunately they flew out the Thurs morning. We booked excursions to get off resort and those were fun. They best days actually. On Wednesday they started taking TVs and stuff out of rooms. They told me they were renovating but when we were outside I got a video of them working on the rooms and parts of the hotel were completely shut down. Restaurants were closed as of Friday and all the bars except the VIP bar were shut down on Friday. The buffet was shut down completely Friday for dinner. For breakfast and lunch on the Friday there was 1/4 of the food. It was almost empty. Had to eat at the other buffet on the Friday for dinner. They offered us to move to another resort… at OUR cost! And then could put in a claim with air Canada. That wasn’t an option considering we already spent almost $3000 for this trip. And we had excursions paid for and they wouldn’t allow refunds. This was an absolute HORRIBLE vacation! We were to a point that we were looking to fly home early. This was my friends first ever all inclusive and she spent time crying because she was so upset. By Friday it was like a ghost town there. Next time I’ll make sure I book Mexico

After 8 years, we looking for a get away to the Carrebean, thinking where do we go? Decided we go to Punta Cana. Booked at Be Live Collections. The rooms needs an upgrade for sure but it didn’t matter much cuz for the 90% we were in the pools. my wife still enjoyed her bubble bath. My sons were wanting to have that too after seeing their mamma enjoying it, maybe next time. But the exterior of resort is simply good. Beautiful Pools, Beautiful beaches, Daily Water Aerobics classes, Zumba Session, Pool Foam party, Pool Bar, Amazing helpful smiling staff, daily evening stage shows, Beach Party and that GUY – They call him “Black Coffee” – What a ball of energy was he. Kept the party rolling every single day. Alongside him was Alexander (From Africa lol) and the other lady, I don’t remember her name, I call her the Gasolina girl just cuz they way she shakes her booty for the song. If you are parents wondering is it a good resort for kids – Our boys were 5.5 and 7.2 yrs old then. There is no water slides at the resort but however they found some good company at the resort. That’s it. They had their time. What added was the kids area at the resort and the lady who took care of them between 9 and 12 every morning. She was so patient and approachable. It was a good break for the parents. Oh yes, the choice of restaurants was good as well and the food at the regular restaurant was good as well. No Complaints. Overall we were satisfied and happy customer to the resort. We still talk about it everyday – the activities at the resort in particular. Thanks for reading.

My husband and I were extremely apprehensive prior to the trip. The reviews were awful which is sad. The resort is very nice, friendly staff, tons of activities daily for adults and kids. The rooms could use some TLC. Having said this, the room was cleaned daily, running hot water. It truly was functional for what we needed - just for sleeping. All our time was spent outdoors so those people who complained - go spend time outside! Food was good, lots of options at the buffet. We made it to 3 restaurants, didn’t go back to book more so that’s on us. Huge shout out to Popeye(aka Pedro), he put the “live” in Be Live, awesomely friendly and fun for all the activities.
