I should have written this review sooner, but time got away from me! My boyfriend and I spent a little less than a week at Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana in the middle/end of January 2020. We are in our late 20s/early 30s and had the most amazing time. I will try to remember all details start to finish! Arrival - We pre-booked a transfer through Dominican Plus before arriving - highly recommend. After getting our bags and arriving at their desk, it only took us about 5 minutes to get in the car and on our way! The resort is a short drive from the Punta Cana airport and immediately upon arrival, beautiful! The security gate is an added layer to make you feel safe and appreciated. Check in was smooth and easy, the woman was very nice. I love the bottle cap artwork behind the desk and the view of the grounds and ocean from the lobby is stunning! We had a quick drink at Gabriellas in the lobby and were quickly taken to our room and given a detailed "tour" of where/what everything was - amazing! Beach/pool - although it was mostly overcast while we were there, the beach is still beautiful and where we spent at least 70% of our time hanging out. The towel counter at the pool has a TON of activities for people to check-out and play with. There are also a few games on the beach to play. The pool bar is busy but great! There are people walking the beach getting cocktails for you and doing their best to make it quick! Highly recommend ordering one (or two) when they come by! There are plenty of loungers on the beach for everyone and the staff was great about assisting you with moving chairs and umbrellas to wherever you would like. We walked the beach and resorts along them a few times - recommend going all the way in each direction! Gym - the gym is top notch, better than any hotel gym I've been in and as nice as Lifetime Fitness back home. There is plenty of cardio equipment and weights, and a ton of other tools to keep fit while away! We stopped in here several times to grab extra water bottles for our room, which was great. The water they have in the containers here is super refreshing as well. There was almost always staff in the gym cleaning the equipment and trainers to ask advice/questions. We started every day off here and were impressed! …
We were there the week of March 15th and even though the resort was only at about 30% it was amazing! From the food, to the staff and cleanest of the resort. The staff knew they were going to be without a job in a few days but did everything to make our stay remarkable. We wish them all the best and we will be back!
In spite of the coronavirus situation that has everyone cautious, our stay was wonderful. We will plan a future trip in a year or two so we can experience more of the area that were closed this time. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The only thing that I look forward to changing is that because this was so new some things were still not complete. All in all a great vacation spot.
The Hyatt Zilara is a beautiful all inclusive property about 15 minutes from the Airport. The staff were all amazing and the service was exceptional. I will definitely stay here when I return next Spring. Tons of dining choices, top shelf liquor and great views. We had an Club Ocean View King Room. Didn't want to leave. Thanks for a wonderful vacation. Hats off to everyone at the Hyatt Zilara and Hyatt Ziva.
We had an amazing time at the Hyatt Zilara Punta Cana which is a brand new resort. The property is gorgeous, the staff was incredibly friendly and responsive, the food was delicious, the room was as comfortable as we could have hoped for. Really, we did not want to leave this place and we plan to visit again as often as possible - and next time we'll bring our family and friends.
