Just returned from SRB on 7/24/21 from our delayed anniversary trip. The staff is super friendly and the preferred check in was quick and painless. Thanks to Leah foe making us feel at home. The resort is beautiful as well as the grounds. SRB is the former Now Larimar property that was recently renovated to a much more beautiful property. Dreams Royal Beach is a shared property here and you can enjoy the resturaunts from there as well. Keep in mind DRB is a family friendly resort so there will be kids at the resturaunts on that property. SRB is adults only. We booked preferred swimout room 3137. Unfortunatley this is a double bed room we only booked due to no king room was available. There was a waterfall just outside our door that was a nice backdrop. The swimout went all the way to the preferred pool so there were "drifters" coming by frequently to checkout the waterfall. We didn't really mind though. The beach is HUGE and was kept clean from the seaweed. The preferred beach is nice with lounge chairs, beach beds, and a couple of double decker bungalo that can be rented by the day ($150USD) I think the preferred beach is shared with Dreams due to seeing people leave and walk onto the Dreams property. This was just my observation, I can not confirm it is supposed to be shared. The main beach is a public beach with vendors passing by trying to sell everything from sand buckets, shovels, wooden carvings, jewelery, sunglasses, cigars etc. to photos with monkeys, parrots, and Iguanas. If you walked out to the ocean there were some trying to sell you weed or other drugs. They weren't pushy if you just said no and kept walking. This was the major drawback for us as we preffer not to be bothered with this kind of stuff at the resort. The food was not bad, we really only had one meal we didn't like (it is a different country so....). There was always something to be found to eat. We had Warnes as a butler. He showed us around a bit and was in contact with us through text or whatsapp if we needed anything. He made our reservations at the Hibatchi, had our room decorated with rose petals leading to a tub filled with bubbles and a rose heart then to the bed where there was a Happy Anniversary cake. He also left the resort to get my wife some Redbull and had it in the mini fridge for us. He was such a humble young man, we really enjoyed him when we seen him. The whole staff was awesome but there were definitely a few that stood out. We had lunch at Olio one day and had Yoldi as our waiter. He took awesome care of us and when we were done with lunch he asked where we were having dinner that night. We told him Bluewater and he said "I will be your waiter tonight". When we arrived at dinner we were immediatley escorted to an intimate table in the back even though we arrived an hour earlier than we told him. Yoldi, Alejandro(SP), and Wilkins catered to everything and more that we wanted. We had the best meal and most outstanding service of any meal at the resort. So much so we returned the following night and had Wilkins as our waiter this time. Yoldi would stop and check on us even though he wasn't our waiter this night. We would have breakfast at La Riviera where Wilkins was also our waiter and gave us just as good of service. When we hung out by the pool behind our room Alejandro from the Drifters bar ( not the same one as dinner) kept our glasses full. He was always a joy and kept things lively with a great sense of humor. Hopefully the resort sees this review and commends Leah, Wanres, Wilkins, Yoldi, and both Alejandro foe the awesome job they are doing in making their guest feel at home and like family.…
The stay at Secrets Royal Beach was fantastic. The staff was very welcoming and friendly for the duration of my stay. I stayed in the Preferred Club which I would highly recommend for the extra amenities and premium alcohol. My favorite restaurants were the buffer for the variety & Bordeaux (the French restaurant) La Rivera - Poche my waiter & Francisco J. The supervisor Preferred Bar- Emanuel & Ezequiel Service staff - Omar Blue water Grill - Luis & Wilkin Himitsu - Deivy & Alemeundi
Porche who is a server at the restaurants took good care of us! Highly recommend him! Gabirela and Francisco J I recommend as well. Food was very good at all the restaurants . My favorite part of the trip was the pools and activities on the beach.
The resort was amazing! We came to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. The food was awesome and the staff was overly welcoming and supportive with our needs. One particular staff members who served us on several occasions were Porche. Rainier Francisco J. There were so many other names I just could not remember. The French restaurant was our favorite of them all. The pools were always refreshing, along with having the private pool! We will definitely come back!
