First of all , you can never get them on the phone, secondly , they booked me at a other Bahia , when i realized that they had to change it . and on top of it i had to pay a extra fee . Ok, now i ask if i can pay the fee at the hotel, I've spoken with the manager and he said yes. To my surprise someone calls me from Miami to inform me and give me a deadline to pay now or it will be canceled . On my email it gives me a date that i can pay before 7/8/21 . I asked him to give me time . no he doesn't give a crap . He doesnt even care . Ive paid 85% of the total amount already and they didnt give a damn with that , they were eager to cancel my trip. I need to reserve my room , they cannot help me till im there , and when i do it online it only give me 1 double bed and we are 3 people ..

This property has the potential to be great. The property is beautiful, the food is really good and the rooms, although outdated, are spacious. Typically all things that are important to me but there’s little things that diminished my experience. First, this property has 4 a la carte restaurants: 2 of them are adults only. This makes no sense as this is a family resort. Keeping in mind I was traveling with my 2 daughters 18 and 16 and had to select the family resort because of my youngest. Its not like I was traveling with younger kids so the idea that we were restricted on where we could eat was frustrating. Bahia has several other resort options on their property and this one is geared towards travelers with families so why in the world would there be adult only restaurants on this resort? This means that the family restaurants booked up very quickly (you are required to make reservations) since there’s only 2 options now instead of 4. We were subject to eating from the buffet every day for breakfast lunch and dinner for the entire 4 days because we could not get any reservations for the restaurants we were “allowed” to go to. Thankfully, I will say the Buffett food and selection was great from day to day. And the workers in there were always very nice and welcoming. But when on an all inclusive vacation we were expecting to be able to experience the whole property, including the various restaurants. Second and more importantly- I experienced discrimination on more then one occasion at guest services (the irony!). Two different times as I was standing in line to get my Covid results employees walked right past me and helped Hispanic customers behind me. I actually had to look around to see if anyone else saw me standing there or maybe I was dreaming that I was actually there. It was so blatant I couldn’t help but laugh. After the 3rd person walked up and was assisted immediately, I spoke up and asked the woman why she wasn’t helping me. Her response: give me a moment I’m helping someone. When I explained to her I had been waiting there for 20 minutes and she passed right by me to help someone else, she said she didn’t see me. Yeah, ok. That alone will ensure I do not return to this resort. The brightest spot in the service though hands down was Kelvin in the whirlpool area. From the first day we checked in he was kind, attentive and just a complete pleasure. We spent two out of our four days with him. He should be training the rest of the staff in customer service. Overall the resort has the potential to be great. Update the rooms, train the staff, and adjust your restaurants to fit the customers you attract by being a family resort.

I am a privilege club member and I regret to be a member. The maintenance on the room are very por. It decays Through the years and it is getting worse. Today, July 17th 2021, I check in and the A/C doesn’t work. It is 12:30 am of July 18th and still I am waiting to get it fix. I have been dealing with the problem since 6:00 pm when I check in abs still is not fox and not updates from any management or technic personal. Also no soap on the shower. I am very dissatisfied with their maintenance service.

We stayed at the Bahia Principe Luxury Esperalda for 9 nights. We had a wonderful time and were even able to go some of their resorts, such as the Ambar since they allow you to use multiple pools, etc depending on which of their resorts you're staying at. During our stay the employees were extremely professional, funny and cared about our stay. For those concerned about traveling during covid, pretty much all employees are vaccinated and they enforce masks when in lines, etc although you definitely don't feel hindered at all as you're free to go without while social distancing (easy yo do because it's all large, open spaces) It was even extremely easy for us to get the covid test needed to return to the USA right at the resort. The dinners were FABULOUS and the buffets have tons of options. We will definitely be back and can't thank all of the staff enough for making it an amazing first post-pamdemic trip! However, I would like to mention 3 employees that made our vacation even better: 1. Kelvin (bartender at the adults only pool at the Esmeralda) 2. Daniel (part of the entertainment team at the Ambar) 3. Enzo (bartender at the mojito bar located at the Ambar) Thank you guys for making our vacation amazing.

We stayed here for 16 nights which is long enough to be able to evaluate... All Bahia resort is well kept. Cuisine as well as selection of drinks is pretty good. Rooms are big enough. Not everything works 100%, though. But overall, we had a great time.
