This hotel is like paradise for those willing to enjoy the service and the ocean to the fully. Platinum princess club gives the best variety of services, restaurants offer delicious courses, buffet is also with lots of options to choose. The beach is clean, ocean is marvelous. Restaurants and activities are not fully provided but that is due to low capacity and lockdown restrictions.
I cant say enough about the hotel and especially the staff, the restaurants are great, obviously it wasn't busy which allowed us to try most of the restaurants. We stayed in platinum building #49. The menus are all viewed on their app which is great only the wifi is hit or miss. The one thing I would like to Express is... there is a mandatory mask order in the DR, alot of travellers from different countries were not following this, including locals that arrived on the weekends, we had to get security involved to remove this young (maskless) local who tried to sit directly beside my husband on the resort shuttle. I feel there needs to be more education at the resort at checkin, there were also other travelers not from DR who were not wearing masks, I'm not talking about outside on the beach, but entering a restaurant. There's my Rant. We will be back because it is absolutely beautiful and the staff are just great…
A very much needed December getaway as we spent 8 days on their beach and trying out the new restaurants . We had a platinum room in the 4800 building with a great view of the ocean. The platinum restaurant and rooftop bar was incredible, good food and atmosphere. Try the new pizza and Japanese restaurants in the main lobby , both were great. with everything going on I never felt safer. I need to thank the following employees who made this vacation great, Freddie Rodriquez, Daniel from the platinum lounge, bartenders Tony and Claudio. Great service .
Resort and grounds were beautiful. The best part of the trip was the employees,so friendly and helpful at a times. Shout out to Tony at The PBG pool and also the beach bar.He makes some great drinks. It was a little strange traveling in these times and not all was open but with how empty the hotel was that is understandable .My only issue at all would be to let all employees understand what a Do not disturb sign on the door means. They shouldn't be knocking and coming in when this is on the door. Not a really big deal but did get woken up from ac great nap a couple times. Will gladly stay again after things get closer to normal.
Beautiful hotel - WONDERFUL Bartenders - food was not good - other people received free upgrades and we paid for ours - hard time making reservations even premium, menu scanners not working - no hot water one night after coming back from the beach - our TV turned on while we were sleeping FULL volume, channels and volume going up and down, we could not even unplug it someone did finally come fix it - even with do not disturb sign on door they would come in your room - walk ways very narrow so literally every minute you had to stop and stand in the grass so a truck could go by which was annoying - no signs pointing you in the right directions, if you didn't know where you were going you would be walking around for a while - we both got intestinal infections and NO we did not drink the water, we even used bottled water to brush our teeth - the cake was very good - our room was hot and did not cool down - I would give this hotel another try after they fix some of the problems because it was beautiful and loved the bartenders and we stay at other princess hotels often.…
