This resort isn't even open although they still have no problem taking people's money for the booking. I booked a trip here through Air Transat in late December only to find out that the resort isn't even open. This is an adults only resort attached to a larger family friendly complex that was supposed to have its' own restaurants, bars, pool, beach area, etc free of kids. I only discovered this because I contacted the site management for room selection and they informed me that the adults only side is closed and all adults only rooms would be sent over to the family side when they arrived. No a la carte breakfast, no adults only bar, no private beach. So if hadn't emailed to book a room I would have only discovered this when I arrived? Only 4 restaurants are even open in the whole resort. I find it pretty unprofessional to essentially trick people into booking a room at your resort. Advertise a certain type of exclusive room package and just throw everyone together when they arrive? Stay somewhere else.

The premium level buffet is closed, there are two buffets available for everyone, not all the tables are used (open tables always have utensils already set) because of the social distancing, always there were tables available when my family went to eat (breakfast and lunch) as soon you seat you are offered a drink, you could get room service with not extra charge. We dine at the restaurants making reservations in advance, only the comedie, the fuente, Kioto and México are open, with the first schedule available at 7 pm. Not mask enforced, there are signs advising but is not enforced. Temperature check always before entering the buffets. If you are worried about crows, you should stay home, or if you still decide to go to a resort, used the beach only because the in pools always there will be people walking around with no masks, specially the locals, not the personal but the local visitor. The pools are kept clean, you’ll always see an employee cleaning looking for empty cups. As I mentioned the beach is mostly empty, the sea weed is cleaned every morning, still not enough to keep the shore weed free but at least they try. The two water parks are only open weekends, so on a weekday you only choice is the general pool or the beach. The casino is open evenings, the children club is closed, not shows at the theater, most of the bars are open, not trolley car for transportation from one amenity to other, yes you have to walk, it’s not that bad only one block from the farthest location. The bowling alley is open for a extra fee, the wifi is ok just like your carrier at home. The building and landscape is well maintained, shops are open but they are expensive. There is hand sanitizer mostly everywhere you need, like a mention there are signs about social distancing and wearing masks but it’s not enforced, I wore a mask everywhere but the swinging areas, I would say only one third of people wearing masks. My only complaint would be the loud speakers by rude guesses, that shouldn’t be allowed, specially at the buffet. I mean I understand that people want to enjoy themselves but not everybody likes loud bachata.

We, 10 of us, Visited this beautiful resort back in December 2017. Very Nice place. Trip went well, staff was great. We were greeted quite nicely upon arrival and escorted to special check in area exclusively for Premium guests. This is aVery relaxing complex. Food was very good and a there was lot of variety. I had the big suite ocean front premium, and it was amazing. Here's the issue I am currently having. 8 of us ae booked for a return trip November 4 thru 11. I have reached out by e mail several times to inquire about the current situation with Covid and more importantly Is the adult side currently open.?? My emails consisted of a couple request, mainly for room location and covid precautions that are currently in place, and are US citizens currently visiting the resort?. Return e mails and Communication have been poor so far and we are 3 weeks from departure. It is making me wonder if The Adults only side is even open yet, and are they avoiding responding in hopes that we show up and then they can do with us whatever as far as accommodations... If we can't get a confirmation soon, I suppose we will be forced to cancel our trip. Sandy P, if you happen to read this, please reach out. gtaylor962@msn.com

The most unprofessional place I have ever traveled. Service is awful! Many locals in the resort that have no control of themselves. Staff continues to serve people regardless of how intoxicated they are. The resort and buildings are so beautiful but the resort is downgraded by locals who can pay $40 to stay for the day when we paid $175 a day. They are disrespectful and wild. In two days, two people passed out from over intoxication. Their families were screaming around them. All employees just watched and took very long to take action. Once while at the pool and once while eating. No staff came by to apologize for the disturbance. Apparently this type of thing happens daily. Corona regulations are not practiced religiously. We were told to wear masks when at the front desk while locals were right next to us without masks and receiving the same service. I have been here 4 times and it is no longer how I remembered. The place is filled with people who have no respect and no class. Staff doesn't even treat you well when you tip. I have never been more disappointed when traveling. Will never come here again and we spent a lot of money for a horrible experience.

Beautiful hotel on the beach front. Lots of restaurants on the resort (must make reservations) or buffet style with lots of options. Rooms are a little dated but still very clean. Clean beach and pool area. Best part about this hotel is adults only!
