Very nice hotel to stay. Very happy. Very clean Helpfull staff. Nice clean sandy beach. Good food served all day in different locations. Nice room service free on diamond club. Highly recommended. Diamond club worth extra payment
Really enjoyed the hotel. The food was great. Downfall not all swim ups were open while we were there. But Winnie who served us at the pool was wonderful. Always there to clean up and take orders. We werent even finished with drinks and she was bringing fresh drinks. Winnie was by far the best and so friendly wait staff at the pool ( we quickly took a picture with her). The pool water was a bit chilly along with the swimout. We were in Building 19 and it was so close to everything. We did request building 15 but all that side of the hotel was closed, we were told. Fransico helped with all our dinner reservations. He was a sweetheart! A tip goes a long way. Food was great and really enjoyed the brazilian restaurant Rio. The entertainment was also great. One request would be not to have everyday people selling stuff on the beac,h it became annoying. My favorite drink was the chocolate monkey.…
We were at this resort for a wedding and I had an amazing time! I personally do not have anything to complain about! The food was excellent everything was very clean and sanitized after each use. The rooms were clean and nicely put together, beds were very comfortable. We stayed in diamond club so the room service was amazing and swim out pool also 10/10. The only hard thing is that I was with a group of 14 and we were not able to get diner reservations until 9 for our large group. It all worked out in the end. The staff was AMAZING! Vibe Team- Starling and Juan C. at the towel center were nothing but kind and fun to be around. They also remembered our names which was very cool! They also taught us to make animals out of towels and some very interesting hats! Grazie Bar- I’m not sure where to start with Darlin and Emmanuel! They were amazing they never let a drink get low without asking if we wanted another one. They taught us some Spanish and their personalities are amazing! My favorite bartenders at the resort! Xtasis Services- They always came up to us to say hi everyday and make sure that we had everything we needed. Bresil, Frencklin, and Alberto were truly amazing. They always came to play volleyball with us or get us to participate in some activity. They were also very helpful, you ask them a question they were there to help! They also made a point to come say hi and call us buy our name, which was a good feeling! I also left them with a smile on my face! Waiters- Jose and Ramon would great us everyday and help us with anything needed. They had great personalities and always out smiles on someone’s face, they are great men and I want to thank them for everything they did for us while we were there. Drinks were always made fast and when we didn’t even ask for water they brought us some knowing we can always use it! Mota the waiter at breakfast and restaurants was also a great time! Overall, I am really looking forward to going back to this resort, the staff was by far my favorite part of the trip. They taught us some Spanish and we taught them some English! With covid now the resort is run very different from what I have learned and they still seemed to make it a memorable time even during these hard times. Highly suggest this resort!…
We had a great trip to the Royalton! There was a group of 8 friends. We really enjoyed the food especially the Brazilian (Rio), lots and lots of good options. We especially had AMAZING service poolside at all locations but especially the diamond club pool bar. Our waiter was Jose Anglade, he was very helpful, fun to be around and attentive! All 8 of us highly recommend taking a trip to the Royalton, a very clean, fun (especially the water activities they have planned daily!), filling and beautiful resort!
We’ve been to the Dominican Republic a couple times previously, this was our first visit that wasn’t adults only and brought the children. We loved the look of the lazy river and the beach. We arrived and being Diamond Club (DC) guests we were taken by golf cart to a separate check-in area. Our room wasn’t ready yet when we arrived, which we’d assumed; but didn’t think we didn’t have any other clothes or swimsuits with us, since we left them with our luggage to bring when the room was ready. We absolutely LOVED the wristbands being our room keys. They worked so well throughout our 11 night stay and never had to be reprogrammed. So convenient not having to keep track of a room key all the time, especially at pools. No towel cards either which we enjoyed. Anytime we wanted a towel we could just go up and ask for one. The bartenders, waitstaff and basically every employee at the resort were absolutely amazing! We only had issue with 1 individual Francisco at the DC Desk. Our card wasn’t working and we were on the phone with the bank trying to figure out why. Nobody knew. The bank was calling the card manufacturer trying to get things to process - knowing it wasn’t an issue with our funds. But Francisco immediately dismissed us and was extremely rude and unhelpful. Juan at the DC Desk was absolutely wonderful. He walked me up to the front to try and get things working up there and helped us get everything fixed. Absolutely amazing! Francisco (different Francisco) at the DC Grill and specialty restaurants was our favorite waiter while we were there. He was amazing! The bartenders at the DC Pool Bar were the best ever. Not sure half of the drinks they made us but they were always great! The buffet is a bit difficult. Being from the US and speaking little Spanish there already being a bit of a language barrier, the masks make this so much more difficult since you can’t see their mouths either. We just stuck with pointing to whatever we wanted (not over the glass like we saw MANY people doing). The buffet not being a traditional self serve buffet anymore the lines did get long with having to have someone serve you. Beach - Gorgeous! Lots of places to sit between the beds, and lounge chairs. We loved the bird cage things. They were incredibly comfortable. The drink service on the bar was wonderful, just like everything else. The last day it was pretty windy and there was quite a bit of seaweed on the beach. Every other day it was well groomed - so think the wind had more to do with it then anything. Pools - The swim out pools are COLD! But so worth it. The kids loved it and got so much use out of it. The waiters would even come and take our drink orders while we sat on the patio. DC pool was our favorite pool. But we had to hit the lazy river first thing every morning after breakfast. The bartenders at Dips Cave Bar on the Lazy River were wonderful. Loved all the staff!!! Non-Specialty Restaurants: DC Grill - We loved the jerk chicken here. They had some wonderful nachos, corn on the cob, brats, rice, salad, and some amazing waffle fries. We also had Francisco as our waiter here often and so happy with his service. Nibbles - This was the kids’ favorite. We all loved the fries (best ever), the burgers, fish tacos were great too. Never had anything we didn’t enjoy. The line gets LONG! If you have a Butler, send him to get you food (we didn’t) but did get a guy at the DC Pool to go for us once and it was wonderful. The guy working the truck works so hard. My son looked forward to his food daily and kinda sad we didn’t get to give him the $10 tip my son thought he’d definitely earned throughout our stay. Score - Good food again. Nothing overly fancy. We like burgers and fries so this was a great alternative to the buffet meals on nights we didn’t have a reservation. Specialty Restaurants: Hunter - We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The staff was wonderful. I think the language barrier struck when my husband tried to order exactly the same meal as me and said, “I’ll have everything she just ordered” I believe they misunderstood and thought he’d be eating my food. They never brought him food. Good thing the kids had enough leftover to feed him. We never told them, so it was likely just a misunderstanding. Grazie - Loved this place. Francisco was our waiter each time we ate here (lucky us)! We are not foodies and usually just enjoy a good burger and fries. This place was very fancy for us. But everything we ordered was amazing! I didn’t know what half the stuff on the menu was. But we were never disappointed. Oceanside - This is the only restaurant we didn’t care for. I ordered steak and hubby ordered the Fillet of the Day. The appetizers were the best part of that meal. Not really much else to say. My steak was mostly fatty and hubby was unimpressed by the fish. We decided the noodles under my chicken skewers were the best part of that meal. Rio - We never got to eat here. It was open 1 night but reservations were full. Zen - Our families favorite specialty restaurant! My daughter loved the fried rice. My son loved the steak. Hubby and I loved everything and I even tried (and liked) some of the sushi. The staff was always friendly and entertaining. One night my daughter had wished they had ice cream for dessert-it wasn’t an option. He was gone awhile and came back with 2 different kinds of ice cream for her!!! She was so happy! Entertainment - I loved the Beatles cover band. They did a great job. We tried to go to kareoke one night, but it didn’t actually appear to be happening anywhere. The magic show we just caught the end of but the kids seemed to enjoy it.…
