My wife and I just got back from celebrating our two year wedding anniversary at Secrets Cap Cana. Needless to say, we are sad we are home. We had originally booked a stay at another resort, but due to the pandemic and resort closures, our travel agent kindly suggested this resort. We are extremely glad she did because we had an unforgettable time! If you have spent any time at well managed all-inclusive resorts, you know that in terms or services and facilities, there are a lot of similarities. The most integral part of a successful resort is the staff. I can, without a doubt, say that the staff at Secrets Cap Cana are the hardest working, most helpful, and friendliest of any resort I have ever been too. It was not just those working the front desk, or the waiters, or bartenders, but top to bottom the whole entire staff! It genuinely seemed as if they were absolutely delighted that they had the opportunity to help/serve you! You don’t find that a lot of places. Because they took the time to meet our every need, I would love to take the time to mention some of this amazing staff by name. First of all, upon arrival you are assigned a concierge who helps you with anything you can think of. Our concierge was Eduar. He was super helpful throughout our entire stay. If I had a question, I could text him and he would respond promptly. He also made getting our Covid tests before our return trip home seamless. We ate at the Market Cafe (buffet) every morning for breakfast. There we were always greeted by sweet hostesses. Although I only caught Joselyn’s name, they were all super friendly and welcoming. Erison was the manager over the area we were typically seated in. He always made sure our meal was going well. Carolina and Noelia were our favorite waitresses. They were both so sweet and by the end of the trip knew exactly how we liked our coffee in the mornings. Also, a lady named Ana behind the buffet was always so happy to get my waffles and bacon for me every morning. She was a gem! After breakfast, we would make our way down to the beach area close to The Barracuda bar. This is by far where we spent most of our time and the fantastic service was part of that. Besides the amazing beach view, the waiters and waitresses on the beach made my wife and I feel like a king and queen. It was never too long before one of them asked if we needed anything. Mr. Ronny was the supervisor over this area and always made sure we had our towels and we were enjoying our beach time. The unsung heroes are Aneudy, Juan, and Junior. These guys were the bartenders that made us countless drinks. There job is crazy with how many orders they are dealing with at once, but they always took it in stride. For the waiters and waitresses, Gustavo, Felix, Abraham, Darlin, Brigi, Ros, and JLo were all top notch. These are the people we saw everyday and they really loved serving. I asked several of them how they liked working at Secrets and they all said they couldn’t be happier there! If you’re into fun activities, Red Bull, Mr. Blue, The Cat, and Diva are sure keep your spirits high! I especially loved playing baseball in the beach. After some time on the beach, we would make our way up to the Seaside Grill. This place has was our go-to for lunch. The pool/beach view from this restaurant were fantastic. We were always greeted by the oh so sweet Yudy! I never once saw her without a smile (behind the mask). The waiters here were also amazing. They would go above and beyond to meet your needs. It’s hard to name a favorite so I will name a couple of our friends! Carlos, Luis, Rosa, Jorge, and Wilver were all waiters and waitresses who became our friends. Even if they weren’t waiting on your table, they would come by and see if you needed anything. In the evenings, you have several dinner options to choose from. Alejandro was a wonderful and funny hibatchi chef at Himitsu. Miguel R. was our waiter at El Patio and he allowed us to take all the time we wanted to sit and enjoy the food AND the margarita cart! I don’t remember the man’s name but the margarita cart was terrific! Luisidania was also a very welcoming host. Oceana is the seafood restaurant at the resort. I cannot speak highly enough about the restaurant manager Christian. We met him at lunch one day and told him we were going to Oceana that evening. Upon arrival, the hostess Yoselin L. told us that Christian had a special table setup just for us. He gave us the royal treatment in every sense of the word! He is super friendly and we ended up talking to him well after our dinner. Our waiter during dinner was Javier and he was extremely professional and gave us great recommendations on the menu. On our last night at the resort, we chose to eat at Portofino. Omar, the restaurant manager, lead us to a rose petal covered table. He immediately told us that he would do anything in his power to help make our experience wonderful and that he was honored that we chose his restaurant was where we chose to spend our last night! Our waiter, Melly, was funny and attentive. After he noticed we really enjoyed the bread, he was quick to replenish our supply. With Omar’s suggestion, I ordered the tortellini and a fillet. The would was delicious! Be sure to get tiramisu, cannolis, and cappuccino for dessert! Again, I hope this review shows you that the most special part of this resort is the Dominican people. My wife and I were so sad to leave and we will definitely be back soon!

From the second we stepped foot on this resort we were treated like royalty. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that your vacation has everything you want it to be. I cannot rave enough about this particular resort and the staff that they have here. We travel all the time and this is by far one of our favorite resorts. If you are lucky enough to get Leonardo as your concierge he will make sure that you’re trip is unforgettable!! :)

A great resort to relax and disconnect from technology. Excellent menu choices. Service great. Second time at resort and it didn’t disappoint. Will return in the future for tech detox. If you can’t do without tech. The WiFi is excellent. Even works well on the beach.

We celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary at Secrets Cap Cana and it ranks as one of our most favorite vacations to date! We had a preferred Ocean View room and the view was spectacular! And, with preferred club we were assigned a butler. I can not say enough amazing things about our butler Steves. He went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and special! From sushi deliveries before dinner to daily schedules and champagne and strawberries, this guy did it all! He was also fun and enjoyable to talk to! We adored the beach staff! Vanessa, Stefany, and Maria were amazing! They kept the waters and drinks coming and always made us smile. Jackson went above and beyond to bring towels to our favorite spot (Palapa #4) and he always worked with a huge smile on his face! Jeison and Vil were also great! Jeison continually checked on us at the beach and Vil went out of his way to find us floats one day! Benito and Jeffrey made amazing beach drinks!! Other great people that we met were Hector with coconut drinks, Fide at the main pool, Dulce at the pool bar, Anthony from the spa (he went out of his way to make us feel at home by always remembering our names), Angela at the preferred pool, Alaila in housekeeping, and Lisette who was a hostess at Seaside Grill. We had a very special dinner all thanks to Jesus! We met at breakfast at Oceana and he learned it was our last day. He arranged an amazing dinner for us and it was so thoughtful and special! We highly recommend this resort! The scenery is breathtaking and the service is out of this world! We are already counting down to go back!

The stay was great. The only issues I had were the seaweed on the beach and the lack of activities. The neighboring resort had a sweeper to pick up the seaweed. It seemed like the resort didn’t care that the beach wasn’t enjoyable because of the seaweed. There weren’t a lot of activities to partake in besides sitting at the beach/pool and drinking. The activities that they did have were repetitive or they were in awkward locations.
