Karaoke was entertaining (Kerryoke)…we went to get towels one day on our way to the beach, but none were available at that time, as promised the young man and the towel booth brought us fresh towels right down to the beach for us!...

For those who like to stay up late the Disco was available to keep things going into the late evening...

On this trip, for evening entertainment, a fellow by the name of Lucio has been hired as a resident musician... He takes requests, and entertains in the early evening hours, until 9 pm when the entertainment staff take over...

Hotel itself is very nice and we had a good size comfortable room (we had a room with balcony and two queen beds) but by the time we went at the beginning of July 2023 it had switched from adults only to a family resort and it was well and truly overrun with kids...

...Rooms are decent, nothing special. Options are two bedroom (queens) or one bedroom (king)...

...As honeymooners, we were given an upgraded room, bottle of champagne, free 30 minute couples massage and a fruit and cheese plate delivered to our room. The room was cleaned every day, mini fridge stocked every day...

...Our rooms were always cleaned and re-stocked with towels, water, sodas and beers and nothing ever went missing. The staff are always polite and helped us even when our room key had stopped working...

...There was construction outside my first room, but I was moved the next day to an upgraded room...

...At the hotel we had to wait for our room but, we were prepared with a change of clothing... We had room a room in Building 1 third floor 1306... Everything worked in the room, the shower was always hot... If you are given this room I suggest you ask to be changed...

...This place is immaculately maintained, from public spaces, beach, gardens and rooms!... Largest rooms, Amnesia, are Significancy better than lower class rooms... The earnest front desk staff will take down any room issues but there was never any follow-up... Carefully determine what kind of room you want... ALL the odd numbered rooms in building 5, regardless of the floor, are awful... As well as high number even number rooms in Building 6... You will experience construction activities and have awful views and a dark room if assigned an odd numbered room here... Also rooms in any building closest to the center of the development may have blocked views.... Call the front desk before arriving to try to get a room that will meet your expectations...

...Make sure you carry a Box of tissue paper for your room, if you need...

Still, they only fixed the new item and never replaced our sheets... I wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend it to people looking for a true 5 star experience... If you’re willing to settle though, it’s a decent place...

...If you are given this room I suggest you ask to be changed... I know some people will disagree but our disappointment was with the buffet food... Otherwise I would have returned to Cuba as I don't feel there was enough of a difference to warrant the $600 - $700 additional difference in price compared to Memories Flamingo in Cayo Coco or other resorts in Cuba...

From Kelvis at the front reception, to Omer at the poolside bar to Rosanna at the Italian Restaurant on the beach they were all gracious, eager to assist and performed their duties with sincere smiles... My boyfriend and I recently vacationed at the viva heavens, we had a blast the staff is great and basically all new our names by the time we left. It's a smaller resort witch I appreciated this time with the minimal walking back and forth to where I wanted to go every ten minutes... Always loungers available by the pool and the beach because it's not over crowded...

From the moment we arrived at Viva Wyndham Heavens resort we were made to feel like a valued guest... Pros: sun, sand, nice pool... Loved the food in the buffet and the Dominican restaurant... The beach was great, always lots of seating... The walk from the hotel to the beach is super beautiful - lots of turtles and baby ducks on the water way... Walking the beach in either direction is gorgeous... Beach towels were impossible to get, we used the same ones for 7 days... If you are a pool person: go early, by 9 there are never any loungers available... It’s a super cute small resort with something for everyone...

...Pros: small resort, not a lot of people which is great. Beach is not overcrowded, it’s beautiful, the walk to it is nice, and most of the staff were nice (shoutout to Augusto, Orelvis, Melanie, Lucho, and some others I’m missing surely)... Lucho’s nightly live music was an awesome vibe... Beach towels were at a premium; we had a couple of occasions where they flat out didn’t have, but instead of being honest about when they’d be available, would just say “10 minutes” and often 20/30 minutes later…nothing... When we arrived at 2 PM, exhausted from our travel day, we were told our room would only be ready at 4 PM, which everywhere said 3... We had one day where they just didn’t provide a hand towel for the bathroom and one day a floor towel... If you’re willing to settle though, it’s a decent place...

...We stayed in the amnesia suite in the 4th block... A bit noisy in the evening when the disco was on, but nonetheless, awesome... The evening entertainers were also incredible, great music played just off to the side of the bar... Karaoke was entertaining (Kerryoke)…we went to get towels one day on our way to the beach, but none were available at that time, as promised the young man and the towel booth brought us fresh towels right down to the beach for us!... When it was time to leave we called for someone to bring our bags down and within minutes the young man arrived and carried our bags for us down four flights of stairs!... Attenders were amazing and always attentive... It is sad that some people only think about themselves and put towels on both the pool side chairs and beds and yet for most of the day these chairs and beds remain empty!... We were lucky to have massages on our beach chairs given by Jennie, amazing and well worth our money paid...

...At the hotel we had to wait for our room but, we were prepared with a change of clothing... The team is friendly, the bartenders make great mojitos, various other specials and the beer was always cold... As mentioned in prior posts lounges available at the beach or pool areas... The beach The Playa Dorada complex is nice, safe a mall to go shopping at and a few golf courses and restaurants... Everything worked in the room, the shower was always hot...

...From the time we arrived we were welcomed and made to feel at home!... The activity /entertainment team were so friendly and helpful and treated us well... They encouraged us to play their activities and see the evening entertainment!... Micheal went out of his way to assist me when I lost my glasses and found a pair to try!... The individual restaurants gave us a special meal and great service... The stroll to the beach was a nice way to get a small walk in... They had everything set up beautifully before you sat down; however, they didn’t clear off the utensil you don’t use and left them for the next person to sit... The waitresses servers and cooks were very polite and helpful... I especially loved the size of the resort it was more personable!...

This was my first trip ever, I was never interested in going on a trip in the past, mostly due to when I’d ask others who would go that tried to convince me what they did, most of the responses were we sat around a pool or beach and drank all day... They kept me busy and entertained the whole week... I have to say the service from the restaurants was excellent as well as the bartenders... Im not A fancy kinda guy , maybe this place isn’t luxurious enough for some but for me it had everything I needed to enjoy a great week of vacation...

...Pros: Top notch staff, from front desk to housekeeping all are unfailingly friendly. This place is immaculately maintained, from public spaces, beach, gardens and rooms!... Restaurants are better quality that buffet... Entertainment is varied and fairly good- think cruise ship entertainment... Cons: Every single day pool towels were not available beginning around 11:00... The Dominican restaurant is excellent, Darwin will take care of you if he is your waiter... The Italian restaurant is excellent, food well prepared, arrived in a timely manner and is hot... Coffee in the buffet is awful, get an espresso at the bar!... A very short bicycle ride was available at 9:00 daily that I stumbled on, no staff ever offered this option... They won’t let you take a bike yourself, you will be accompanied by a staffer that takes you around the Puerto Dorada development... As well as high number even number rooms in Building 6... Call the front desk before arriving to try to get a room that will meet your expectations... The place is going family friendly so some of these things may change...

Visited this resort for a week in Jan with a good friend, we both needed a nice hot get away to beat the Jan blues. This resort is small but quaint and has everything you need and it’s all close together... The restaurants are adorable and the pool and beach are perfect... The walk to the beach is about 6 mins but it’s next to a pond and so pretty especially at night... The entertainment staff really made the trip, they make you feel at home and also allow you to come out of your shell quite a bit...

...The fastest we had experienced in dr we arrived around 12pm was probably at the room in 2 minutes Room : nice we had 4101 i recommend first floor. 1 minute or less to everything i can see the pool or lobyy as soon i close my room door Food : we try every restaurant no reservations need it just show up we always try to dress nice for dinner but is not need it The buffet for breakfast is the same everyday so if you thear more then a week i can see it get repetitive Entertainment team : one of the best we had seen in the dr they go above and beyond to make you feel like a super ⭐️ the night show that we usually don’t do were good... The night club is open but they go with the flow they keep it open as far people are dancing and drinking Bartenders/bar : all great the bottles thear is not top shelf but they try to make the drinks as you prefer maybe stronger or lighter or lesser sweet or more sweet you know what i mean lol Grounds : they are kept one os the most clean and ambiance you can experience Excursion : we book the buggys and the vip paradise island at the beach we had no problem pick up and everything as promised Taxi: uber is almost impossible to get we use oliver at the lobby he was great... But also the security guard fernando was always keeping an eye for us making sure we left and came back safe Recommendation : invest in a golfing type car to bring guests and employees back and to the beach for us on vacation a few minute walk is nothing but for employees after a long shift is hard... Maybe the upstairs pool need it to be Hot will make it enjoyable during winter months Overall... I even told one of then i give the commission they will pay you just leave me alone Good resort...

A beautiful beach and very nice accommodations though we only stayed a day. The grounds were beautiful and well groomed and there were plenty of loungers on the beach and even some shade... The food and drinks at the bar/ buffet off of the beach were decent but not great at the time of our visit mid-day... My husband had a pedicure under the shade of the palm trees as a birthday treat (from one of the said vendors) while I laid out closer to the ocean, which was beautiful... There was a sand volleyball court and beach towels provided... The pool area looked inviting and there were a few shops there too...

...From the moment we arrived at Viva Wyndham Heavens resort we were made to feel like a valued guest. The amnesia suite was our home for the week... It was spacious, bright and clean with free wifi, tv with Netflix and a minibar that was restocked daily... Food and drink were plentiful and available day and night... The a la carte restaurants were first come, first served but we always managed to be accommodated without delay... The swimming pool was a decent size and there was a second smaller jet pool located on the second level that could be used as well... We found the entire resort to be tidy, clean and very well tended to... There were many activities and games to choose from every day... Live performers entertained guests in the early evening and there were a variety of shows to enjoy in the theatre on site most evenings... For those who like to stay up late the Disco was available to keep things going into the late evening... They were professional, engaging and made everyone feel welcome and valued...

...The Christmas Eve dinner/dessert/dance was a memorable time. Personal favourite was the beach dance party.The property is clean, well maintained... Room service was excellent as well... Fun pool party, Zumba, bingo, etc... Beware the following: The Viva Animation team ( entertainment team, they put on the fun events )will befriend guests mainly for food, alcohol and in some instances money... Overall, lovely resort with great bartenders, restaurants and server.The vibe is chill but still fun...

This was my first time visiting this resort but I travelled with girls who have been here many times and as they assured me the place did not disappoint!... The resort itself is beautiful and well maintained... Ariel at the towel hut always had a warm smile and a friendly good morning to start your day off... The beach staff, El Zorro, Cappuccino, Chocolate are super friendly and helpful with finding chairs and taking us out on catamaran or kayak excursions...

...Staff was friendly, gardens were beautiful, and resort was clean… that’s the best I can say about it... Air conditioning decided when it would work and was not on at night... We were constantly approached by beach and trinket sales people... The discotheque doesn’t open until 11pm!... Excursions they sold at hotel were charged twice what they cost on trip advisor... I told the front desk we were on our honeymoon and they gave us a room with two beds... When something was promised to be sent to the room, it never arrived...

...I have previously reviewed this resort after every stay, (read my previous posts) and I can tell you that the quality of vacation and service you will receive is like no other. Coming here multiple times is like finding a second family with staff that go above and beyond... The Blend (Fusion), Sofrito (authentic Dominican) and Rosmarino (Italian) are hosted by Nelson, a gentleman who provides nothing short of perfect service!... I would be remiss if I did not mention Rosanna, the hostess, and the young girl at the Blend (I cannot remember her name) – but both will greet you by name and a big smile, and show you to your preferred table... Lucio is personable and a pleasure to listen to!... I have to give a shout out to the front desk, led by Kelvin – his team, most especially Jordan, will take care of any issue regarding your room... Each day they offer games poolside, aerobics, yoga on the beach, volleyball... There is a weekly beer drinking contest poolside followed by a foam party – a lot of fun... You can join in as many or little activities as you like, and they make your days fun... Ultimately, this hotel is exceptionally clean, with great food, and a very safe resort...

...The staff is always smiling and ready to help... We even went to the spa and Andrea and the rest of the staff were so much fun enjoy and ensured that we are enjoying our time... We enjoyed very much the dancing in the evening, the Spanish classes, the amazing beach, playing tennis 🎾, and going on the catamaran with Jose... even though some things were not available on the first day, the staff tried to accommodate us in so many ways...

...I'd like to underline the excellent accomodation in a spacious, flawless room, the nice snackbar/restaurant on the beach, the harmonic integration between architecture and nature (nice green spots and gardens and charming "wood" along the path connecting the pool area and the beach. A special mention to the entertainement,particularly Chocolate (cool and positive), Zorro (kind and professional) Capucino (pure energy) and Luis "Chihahua" (enterteiner chief, friendly and professional)... special thanks to Lucio, who entertained me with his music and voice before and after dinner I heard V Heavens recently reopened after a few months of renovation: I wish all the best to Viva company for this new start, and I suggest This place for a nice, comfortable Vacation...
