My friend and I arrived for a one week vacation on April 28, 2023. A little issue checking in as they had a room for us with only one bed. When I advised then we needed two beds, they were not too happy making the changes. The room was fine, there was always 2 large bottles of water each day, and the maids made sure we had enough fresh towels. The shower had lots of power and hot water. Be careful as it can be tricky to set and you could be burnt! We had trouble opening the patio door one day but a call to reception sent a repairman right away. As we are beach lovers, we were disappointed that storms must have changed the beach in the past few months as there was a big drop off into the water by at least two feet. We had to walk to where the recreation boats are launched to enter the water as it was a gradual slope there. Funny thing, we never saw any lifeguards there the entire week! You are not allowed to walk to the point to the left of the beach due to security issues but you can walk to the right quite a long way. The pool is beautiful, did aquasize one morning. Despite a poster notifying us about stretching class, there was none. At night the pool is lit up, very beautiful. The food was very good, especially the a la cartes. I would have liked to see more fruit though. The beach bar/snack bar was very nice but would have liked more choices other than just hamburgers, hot dogs, and sometimes fries. We arrived just before a DR long weekend so it was very crowded for a few days with long lineups at the buffet. Keep that in mind when booking those dates in the future. The weather was absolutely perfect, sunny and hot. Be careful of that wind though as we burned. A nice small resort, everything is very close, a few shops in the lobby, some with your normal type souvenirs, and one with liquor, perfumes, etc.

Wow!!! The food, not good no variarity and tasteless. THE ONLY THING GOOD THAT I ENJOYED SO MUCH was the entertainment at pool and Theacher . A special thanks to my favorites performers .. Mr. Yancarlosand SEXY BELLY Alexander. The hotel should be extremely proud of those two individuals . They are fun, funny always full of joy as well as taking their job serious. Thanks to them and the animation team which made my stay pleasant.

My family consists of 2 kids 12 and 15, and my wife and me. The resort is beautiful hands down the beach was kept up well maintained. The seaweed was swept up in the morning and I didn't find sand fleas were bad unless you were covering yourself in the sand then it was a buffet. We opted for the VIP experience which I think was worth it. PROs: -VIP: Vip lounge is worth its variety of items that were not found on the resort for food, and are free to take with you. Oreo 4-pack cookies, Milkyway chocolate bars, Fruit loops cup, cold deli meats, and aged wax-covered cheese were very tasty as well as drinks and the Passion Colada (pink welcome drink) and coffee. -Snack Bar is the best place for hotdogs, drinks, french fries, and hamburgers. Anytime after 11 pm deep fried chicken is served. No pizza was seen on the resort by my kids or me. There is also a mention of poutine 3 times a week. Never seen a poutine the whole time there my kids were waiting and looking for this but nothing was found. -The food is good I am not picky by any stretch and I can find many things to eat and not go hungry. ( Bacon was available one morning out of 7 days on the resort, local fruit available was limited no avocados, limited watermelon 30 slices for 300 people, and no mangos or coconuts at any time. Pineapple was in small supply again 20 slices for 300 people.) - Learn to watch the people switching out the trays of food. They don't replace the same item 80% of the time. They will replace the item with something completely different. - Rooms were clean and we had a jr suite for our kids. AC leaked but nothing hard to fix we pushed up on the vent and fixed the leak ourselves. Room safe included with VIP. Towel pickup and delivery every morning leave 100 to 200 pesos for the cleaning staff. -Waiting for staff is always there to refill water and very attentive for the VIP area and non-VIP areas always. CONs: -Beware the White Shirt grey pants people on site the moment you step off the bus to the resort. If you are VIP you are hunted by your wristband, and pestered until you go with them to the deal/interrogation room where they will not let you leave until they make a sale. Happy was the most aggressive rep white shirt they have. The fact that they can walk the resort or wait for you near the buffet station as you exit they will be on you as soon as you exit the food area. - The locals showed up on a Friday and were there until Sunday until 1 PM. I have zero issues with locals being on the resort, or paying to party and drink, and eat to get their money's worth. What I do have a problem with is the lack of disrespect for the resort, and the staff, and the mess that was left everywhere but the garbage cans by the locals. The crowd was not small and there were around 150 to 200 local families with kids, relatives, parents, and couples. Drink cups were left in the pool floating, sunken under the water not empty full glasses of drinks alcohol, and non-alcohol drinks spilled into the pool. 100's of glasses/cups left on the side of the pool on the drains of the pool ledge where drinks would spill over due to the water splashing on the ledges. The waterfall area has stone slab tables and drink cups were left all along this area that resort staff wouldn't be able to get to unless jumping into the pool. Cups and Glasses were not disposed of in the garbage cans along the pool edge that could be reached with minimal effort if someone actually cared to clean up. - The locals visiting on the weekend, had zero respect for anyone on the resort rude, and butt in front of you in a lineup. I witnessed this multiple times not just personally but with other people seeing the same treatment. A fight broke out at the pool bar local vs local way too much alcohol I suspect was given out or drunk. -Didn't see any cultural shop visits such as cigar rolling tables or sugar cane machine to demonstrate how sugar water is made and to sample what it tastes like. This has kind of been something I come to expect at resorts to share this experience with anyone not familiar with the DR. -It really felt as though you lost 2 days with the locals running crazy doing whatever they wanted and behaving rudely and disrespectfully. I heard complaints of the noise at night but none of that bothers me and I can endure a great deal before I get annoyed. - The one thing I will state is that the resort staff should 100% not allow anyone to reserve the umbrella-shaded recliners all along the pool area. No leaving towels or items on it to keep the chairs all day long. If you get up from the chairs and are not at the pool your things should be removed and nobody should feel the need to get upset. It is limited shade and after burning in the sun for 2-3 days and you just want shade for a few hours and it's not available that is a problem. This point should be made clear if you leave your umbrella and there are just towels the guests can remove them period. -Wrap-up comments. Great resort I would go back but the local experience on the resort was a real eye-opener as to how little they appreciate anyone visiting their country I would think vacationing here from away is the main way the resort earns revenue and if it was just locals visiting wouldn't be able to survive without the tourism.
