I chose this place to organize a reunion for people from all over the world that had met in the DR. I couldn't have picked a better location. Wonderful hosts. I especially enjoyed my morning yoga session above the clouds. The rooms all have a particular quality. If I had to choose where to die....

We came to Tubagua as part of an excursion to the Café Pedro Garcia coffee farm. Planting the coffee was an incredible experience. After this we had a traditional stew for lunch. It was delicious. We were also able to buy the coffee produced by Pedro Garcia. Also, the bathroom has the best view on the entire island!

We only went for a day hike, but what we saw of the lodge it was a special place to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. The accommodations were built with locally occurring natural materials, somewhat like tree houses but on the ground. We toured a few: they had bathrooms, showers, running water and electricity. There was a main meeting/dining building with a spectacular view of the valley all the way to the ocean. The hike was arduous and I suggest one be in fairly good physical condition to do it as it is up and down steep hills in places. Our guide Juanin was very friendly and knowledgeable about the

I have never been to an EcoLodge before, and I can honestly say, this was truly incredible. The scenery was beyond words, the hospitality was 100%, and the food was better than anything I've ever had at any mainstream 5-star resort!!! The food was incredible!!! I have never eaten anything so delicious and wholesome food!. Definitely a fifteen out of ten for the food rating!!! The staff become family, as the lodge becomes a place you melt into and never want to leave. The view overlooking the valley and the ocean is absolutely breath-taking. There are many places on the property which you can explore and find a comfortable, peaceful spot for any type of self-reflection or relaxation. My experiences at Tubagua Eco Lodge have changed my life forever. The excursions are local and

Tubogua is a wonderful place to stay! We stay for two weeks every year and just love it! The food is wonderful with lots of lovely salads and side dishes. Our favourites were smoked egg plant and the Dominican beans. Breakfast is amazing - best scrambled eggs we ever tasted! The staff can also accommodate gluten free requirements which is greatly appreciated. There were groups that came for lunch or dinner, and did the local tours as well as guests who stayed there, so Tubogua can be experienced as a lodge or a restaurant. Lots of options! There are different options for sleeping accommodations depending on your budget. My favourite room is the casita with the front porch, big comfy bed and private shower (yes, with hot water!). The palapa's are fun too. I heard
