In the heart of the (small) historical center, very nice and big rooms with excellent street view. Perfect value/money deserves every dollar/euro you pay. Nice terrace for the very nice breakfast altough there are a lot of cafes around. Absolutely a very nice choice!

We stayed in Santo Domingo last January, we were not sure about the choice we made with this hotel, but we gave the vote of confidence, since we went to check in we found the bad reviews about this place were very demanding. The reception and lobby were modern as well as the treatment from the staff who was very... More

Not bad and convenient walking to sites in Santo Domingo. My room had no real view, a window opening onto an inner stairwell. Shower was cold. Very few towels. The 4th floor patio restaurant is ver nice and we had a lovely breakfast. Rooms could be cleaner and I think I saw a cockroach .... Bed was comfortable.

I made a reservation for 7 nights but checked out after 5 nights. They charged me for the full 7 nights after telling me they would not. They refuse to reimburse me for the 2 nights that I did not stay at the hotel. I am currently disputing the charge with my credit card company. Also their wifi is unavailable... More

Hotel Europa looked like a great idea as it is based right next to Plaza España. However, I suggest you keep looking. The first room given to me was located directly next to hotel construction including hammers and loud saws. Furthermore, the air conditioning was incredibly loud; the sound can only be likened to a car motor. When these issues... More

The Europa is well located in the colonial district. My room was small and rather dark, because the window opened into an interior light well, not to the outside. However, the bed was comfortable, there was lots of closet and drawer space, and I liked the wooden furniture and doors. The bathroom was adequate, but the shower head could have... More

The staff was very friendly, but the room was small and cramped. It had only a very small window with no view. The breakfast was okay. I would recommend it for one or two nights. I also to recommend to pay a bit more so you can a bedroom with a balcony.

I checked in and no surprises. This hotel is originally built in the 1930s. The A/C was great. The water pressure was low and some times the water was not hot according to U.S.A. standards overall clean. The window in one of the rooms leaked bad when the storm hit. They quickly transferred us to another room.

A lot of noise in the room, nasty bathroom, no wifi...... the only acceptable thing was the location, near El conde street, and Plaza España. Friendly staff but not enough. I really don't hesitate in NOT recomend this hotel

I stayed here for two nights. It is in a very convenient location two blocks from Plaza España. The front desk staff was very helpful and gave me good information whenever I asked or was willing to look it up for me. The rooftop terrace doesn't have much of a view and breakfast was not that good. The room was... More
