Bedrooms have a wealth of original features including beautiful mosaic tiles. We are a full service hotel with daily maid service, breakfast and 24 hour staffing. Breakfast is cooked fresh to order, served beside the pool and included in our room rates. The hotel is in a quiet street, but just a few steps from the Conde. The area is safe to walk around. This place is nice and intimate, right in the bustle of town. No on site parking but you can park the car the next street over in a garage for $20 a day. Lots of restaurants and shops around. Our bathroom was spacious with a large tub and the AC worked great. Common area to hangout on the roof top was great after a long day exploring. Breakfast optional.

We enjoyed 3 nights again with pleasure. Spotless clean rooms, beds and delicious breakfast. A cozy pool and new hottub to enjoy! IT is the people that make the ambiance for guests and Jonathan -Owner- takes good care of that: thnx. Even though there are very Tiny aspects that May make you apreciate upscale US-chain hotels more, I can kindly ASK you to choose another Path: Meaning: choose this hem in Santo Domingo!!

Apprehensive as one would imagine, with all that has been in the news, scandal “mini bar,” the moment I stepped foot into Casa Sanchez any spirit of apprehension left and instantaneously I knew I was home away from home. “The Experience of Royalty” Jessica is the hotel owner, a British woman who made her way to the DR several years ago purchased an old historic building and turned it into what we know now as Casa Sanchez. I asked Jessica why am I treated with so much care it’s very uncommon in the US especially being a young man of brown skin. She explained a story of terrible service she encountered in Miami of customer service and said at Casa Sanchez the personnel tries to understand your exact need to ensure the accommodation is over delivered. Not only does Jessica run her hotel like it’s her home but her staff follows suit. I was treated like a King, uncomfortable by it, because never in my life have I been treated of such royalty. “The Room” Spacious, romantic, personality, clean, charming, perfect. “Location” Upon my arrival I did not know where the closest market was, I was escorted by Yimi, an employee of CS, to the market. When I tried to give him a tip for his time he said it was not necessary, an unwavering call for elite service carries through the entire staff. At the market, around the corner from the hotel it is international, everything you need is there including the withdrawal of more money. A moment away is Parque Colon, music, vendors, restaurants, people, and life. I recommend eating at Jalao, my friends and I enjoyed a spectacular meal here. Work with Nelsa to schedule a beach day, taxi arrangements will be provided. In the center of the Colonial Zone you are, the things you hoped to see are just a step away. “Safety” Growing up low middle class in an underrepresented and historically disenfranchised community, I am aware of what it takes to be cautious and smart in the streets. If you lack this trait fret not, Jessica and her team will review with you simple safety how to’s to ensure you are roaming the city appropriately. “Amenities” As show in the photos attached, the pool is beautiful. I am more in love with the jacuzzi and rooftop patio. I do not have a photo but view the rooftop online, serene and private. The bar is open 24 hours, just see Francisco he attends the front desk through the night. “Final Thoughts” Thank you Nelsa, Hotel Manager, you took care of me, and because of you I will be back. Because of everyone at the hotel I will be back. My time in the DR was upper echelon, do not let the news deter you from a world that must be seen and shines magically. Besos y amor a todos. I will see you soon. Theo

Theo, thank you for so many things. Thanks for choosing to stay with us, it was a genuine pleasure to meet you and your friends. Thank you for being such a lovely guest. And thank you for posting such nice feedback. With all the negative news, everyone who works in hotels in Dom Rep is worried about what will happen next and where the next dollar is coming from. So it really helps to spread the word that there is nothing to worry about here, Dom Rep is safe and beautiful and ready to welcome you. And as for you, I sincerely hope that you will come back very soon, we are missing you already!

It was my first time in DR and I wanted to do a short solo trip. It was my birthday weekend and I just want to have a "me" time. I was down to three places on where to stay and I chose casa sanchez based on the reviews here.....and let me tell you, it was an excellent choice. From the first day to the last, it was an amazing experience. Location: Smack in the middle to zona colonial, what else is there to ask. calle conde is just less than half a block away so anything you need, food, drinks, people watch, it's right there. as a runner, being close to malecon is a blessing. Rooms: I got one of the back rooms on the 2nd floor. Usually it would be an issue for me but i enjoyed being away from everything. I enjoy having fun but at a certain time, i need some peace and quiet. The bed was perfect...not too soft, not too firm. Just perfect!!! Happy that they had a mini-fridge; it was great to keep drinks cold after a long day outside. Bathrooms were good size. Staff: AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful and friendly people!!!!! Juan, Karen, and Nelsa (I hope I got their names right)....thank you, thank you. I never had such a wonderful experience from any staff anywhere. I had an amazing time because of these lovely staff. I highly recommend this place especially for a first timer in Santo Doming like myself. I glad I chose the right place to stay. I hope to come back again soon and I will definitely stay here again.
