I'd definitely come back to this property. The best attribute was its very friendly staff. Without exception, every member of the staff seemed excited to serve.
The location is very good, with reasonably good access to most areas, except for the horrendous traffic. It is generally safe in the area, but as most places in the DR, be mindful of what is going on around you.
The room was nice, comfortable and provided ample space to work. The only negative was the tiny bathroom. The shower was very small. If you are a late sleeper, you will hear the road traffic in the morning, even from the 12th floor. They stocked the room well with bottled water, and had the typical minibar contents for a charge.
The in-house restaurant was good for lunch but dinner was not so much. For some really good food for dinner there are several good places along the boardwalk (just walk alone in the dark).
If you have a car, the basement parking was free and had 24 hours security. Very nice!
In short, I will definitely return to this property.

I arrived at the hotel late evening after 15 hours flight. Nobody was coming out and welcoming me or assisting with the luggage. The reception staff really have an attitude problem,. During my five nights stay they don’t look at you, they don’t say goodbye or hello only if they are forced to it when you say it, The staff at the restaurant are really friendly and helpful. I got a suite on 10th floor, very nice room, big balcony and spacious clean room. There were some issues with lack of cups and towels but it was solved. The safety box broke after four days and even I said it twice it was never repaired. The pool area is very nice and clean and even the pool is not very big it is useful when staying in the town where you can’t use the beach. Good and spacious gym with variety of equipment. Breakfast is fine, you can order omelettes etc and they have different typical Dominican dishes. There are some okay restaurants nearby and the hotel is located walking distance from the colonial town. The street in front of the hotel can be quite noisy so try to get a room at the upper level.

The Hotel made me hire an extra room (3 nights) for a 3-year-old girl, I arrived at the hotel, they didn't even give me a connecting room. I didn't take the other room because my daughter was in poor health, to the point that they had to put an IV in her; So the extra room that I hired for her was never occupied. I told the administrator that I would not occupy it for obvious reasons, and I asked him if he had any consideration with us since we paid for 3 nights and the room was never occupied. But the administration, neither empathetic nor flexible with us, simply told us that the room was already booked. Bad experience, we have to be a little more human and even more so when we arrive from another country.

Everything was perfect, we decided to try staying with this hotel option together with my work colleagues, since I would be there for 1 month, and it was an excellent decision, since my arrival everyone was incredibly concerned about my stay, from the first day the sales manager Juan Carlos Ortiz received me at the reception along with the sales executive Aylin Herasme, I was served in an exemplary manner by Joel and Jonny Redondo, they also introduced me to the head of security Atahualpa always with a smile and a kind word, Hector always at the door with a hot good day or good night depending on the time, also mention the General Manager Carmen Ortiz of whom I am enormously grateful for her attention and concern for our well-being. At the restaurant I met Chef Enrique, his food She was fabulous, you could tell that there was a lot of love in her work, I must also mention the incredible staff that served the tables, Jose Manuel and Victor always with a welcome, a friendly and happy word, Jade and Pamela always attentive and very kind, Ambil the master chef of always delicious omelettes. My wife arrived a few days after my arrival and they took the time to give her a nice welcome. The location is great. Fantastic views of the ocean [some rooms have better views than others] The staff are very friendly. We definitely took advantage of the free breakfast which was great average in terms of selection, food quality, and staff. [Sitting at the window looking at the ocean didn't hurt!] The pool area is excellent. The location is also very nice if you are looking to attend Licey/Escogido home games.

The Crowne Plaza brand is usually reliable marketed below IHG Intercontinental and above Holiday Inn. This is definitely closer to the top end of the range. We liked everything about this hotel. Beautiful rooms albeit a bit 'corporate', fabulous staff, clean and efficient. Good value for the standard. Convenient car park. Highly recommended

The young Miguel in the Bar and pool provides a very fine attention with professionalism and that I can tell you about his mirror cocktails. Regarding the physical space of the area is super organized and clean. The ordering options do like to eat there is everything not only on the menu.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and the more I stay the more I have grown to like this hotel. There are a number of large internationally run hotels along the Malecon but I have found this one to be the best all round. They have a very convenient car park; the concierge is efficient and welcoming; front desk is quick and without fuss; there is a popular bar in the lobby; good reasonably priced food in the first floor restaurant. Add to this, everything you might expect in the bedrooms from a high quality hotel chain and check out the price. I'm always looking for value for money, but will pay a little bit more for comfort that is worth the extra. I think, this hotel ticks that box. If you like to gamble, there is an attached casino. I'm not saying you will be blown away but you will be very comfortable and feel relaxed.
