...Prices are higher than average, expensive europen prices, a local rhum (brugal) costs 12 euros and a local beer, (presidente) 5.50 euros. If it was not for my horrible experience with that Victor, I could recommend that place but Santo Domingo has plenty of nice hotels to stay that are more centrical and have better prices and friendlier staff...

I was greeted with a smile and a welcome front the desk agent Liliana she was knowledgeable and very informative when it came to the hotel amenities, attractions and sites that were nearby. On my first day there I enjoyed the pool which was pristine and some pool side drinks that were amazing that evening I had the pleasure of meeting Juan and Nicole in the Ambassador lounge they were gracious and attentive... I can't forget James at the front desk who helped me extend my stay an extra because i was so pleased with the great customer service and amenities 10/10!!...

I lucked up by booking my family at El Embajador for my mom’s 76th birthday... For every request we had, they went out of their way to assist us... Even with a couple of unforeseen mishaps, the staff and management went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of... And they provided a very delicious birthday cake for her special day... Though we were there a week, I still didn’t explore everything the hotel had to offer like the gym or the spa services...

The hotel was very clean, the food was good, and the atmosphere is nice... I'll be staying here again during my next visit in-town for work...

...We stayed here as a birding group as the rare Hispaniolan parakeet is allowed to nest outside the hotel in the trees in the parking lot... My room was large and modern with a solid material flooring... The bathroom was lovely and the bed was comfortable... Lots of power outlets and easy to turn all the lights on and off... One of the best thought through hotel rooms I have been in... Breakfasts was a good buffet open from 6.30 am with plenty of fruit, oatmeal and cooked foods as well as assorted breads and pastries...
