We enjoyed our stay at El Embajador! -Clean, comfortable and spacious room -Sparkling clean pool -Reliable Wi-Fi -Great spa to unwind from our crazy travel day Minus one star for the room service, which I had to go down to the front desk every time I wanted to order in the evening. I guess there was only one person taking AND delivering the orders so it was hit or miss if they would answer the phone. So, the person working the desk would make my order for me on the walkie. The food was really not great either, incredibly overpriced. But sometimes you just need a little late night snack on vacation!
this hotel is one of the best hotels I have visited. The rooms are stunning! The only issue is that the restaurants are terrible: food is not local, has no taste and tastes industrial. Does not fit at all the standards you’re expecting. And they charge you a lot for this terrible food. The service is also very bad: we decided to have lunch on the outdoor restaurant by the pool. We had one hour before our taxi pick up which could have been more than enough. The food arrived 50mn after we ordered and we did not even have time to eat it even if we had told them we had obly one hour but of course they charged us everything. This ruined our stay in this hotel.
Absolutely loved this place. Top notch and first class all the way. On par with any resort hotel I stayed at in Las Vegas, with the exception of the casino. The casino is very small and doesn't open till 4 pm. I could not get an early check-in so we waited in the ample and luxurious lobby, while drinking our Presidente beer. Our room was amazing. We had a nice view of the city resident buildings. We had a huge hot tub in the middle of the room, which separated the sleeping area and the rest of the bathroom. The tub also had an electric privacy screen. Bottled water was available for the rooms. Housekeeping was very attentive and we exchanged towels when we needed to. Hotel is not cheap, but is a first-class accommodation and has made for a very memorable stay. There is a large supermarket located 2 blocks from the hotel, where we were able to purchase all the items we needed like: bottled water, rum, ponche, coffee, and any other grocery items we needed. There is a McDonald's 2 blocks the other way to purchase breakfast and coffee. Not much other shopping within walking distance. Breakfast was NOT included but was available for $15 per person. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but we did make coffee in the room. If you are seeking great Dominican food, check out the Adrian Tropical restaurants. My favorite one was on the Malecon. Plenty of parking if you have a car. We Ubered everywhere. The pool was large, really nice and in a beautiful setting. There is an outdoor bar and there was live music outside one of the nights. We had a great 6-night stay and if I'm ever in SD again, that's where I will be staying. Highly recommended!…
A friend recommended El Embajador and I decided to get it. I was not disappointed. The service is excellent got early check in. The hotel pool area is gorgeous and the park is beautiful too! Breakfast was great service for breakfast was great. The room was more luxurious than the Intercontinental which was more expensive for my dates. There are nearby restaurants you can walk to. Highly recommend the Argentinian restaurant down the road. Rosa the maid was great. My room was spotless and anything I needed she was there to help. She's on the 4th floor. Gracias Rosa por todo! Highly recommended El Embajador it's secluded but has everything you need. I will return!
I had the pleasure of having my wedding here and I am very happy I did. I stayed 3 days prior to the wedding and the service was exceptional. From the staff to the event coordinating team, everyone was friendly and available to answer any questions. My guest also raved about the rooms, comfort, and service attention. The location of the hotel is in perfect location. I would like to thank Yessica Rijo- Events Coordinator for all her patience and work on helping me have a magical wedding. I highly recommend this hotel for its service, attention to detail, comfort and location.
