From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with exceptional treatment. The personalized attention and warmth of the staff really made a difference. They offered us a welcome drink and helped us with luggage while we checked in, which was quick and efficient.

Rooms: The rooms are spacious, elegantly decorated and offer a stunning view of the sea.The bed was incredibly comfortable and the high quality sheets made lounging a real pleasure. The bathroom was equipped with premium brand toiletries and the cleaning service was impeccable throughout our stay.

Facilities: This hotel has a simply spectacular swimming pool! Spending an afternoon enjoying the pool and Caribbean sun was an amazing experience.

Gastronomy: Restaurants in the hotel deserve a separate mention. We tried both the breakfast buffet, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options, and dinner in its restaurant of international cuisine. Each dish was perfectly executed, with high quality ingredients and impeccable service. The wine list is also remarkable!

Location: The hotel's location is perfect for exploring Santo Domingo. It is located in a central and safe area, a few minutes from the main attractions. 100% Recommended

El Embajador is a wonderful & grand hotel. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe and well cared for. As soon as I got to the front desk and Wilmer, the young man on duty, noticed that I used a walker, he asked if I would be more comfortable in an accessible room, than the one originally booked. If was this ‘anticipating before being asked’ that embodied the style of the staff. I can’t wait to return again.

We were there last weekend, July 6 and 7: this hotel is amazing, perfect for our romantic getaway, the atmosphere is ideal for couples: with themed dinners, amazing stages, dance floor, swimming pool, live romantic music and luxury rooms. It was a very beautiful experience.

The truth is that this hotel is impressive, the atmosphere is very relaxing, it is also ideal to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Gardens and common areas are perfect for lounging and unwinding.

The attention to detail in this hotel is admirable, from the decoration of the rooms, to the small details like the welcome with fruits, chocolates and rich cocktails, everything is thought to make you feel super special, plus we participated in several activities of the hotel and all were wonderful.

But Best of the Best is the gastronomy; its variety, good raw material, careful elaboration, the art and decoration of its dishes and above all the high quality, accompanied by a highly qualified staff in their respective areas and with personalized and first class attentions. I just ran out of words,

Thanks to all this, we were able to enjoy and have a unique experience...

The check in process is a mess. I’ve stayed at this hotel 5 times in a year and every time I need to provide my information multiple times. One benefit I am supposed to have is early check in. Despite this, I arrived at 2:45 and was told after a long day of travel they would charge me $50 if I wanted to check in before 3. Fine, so I waited in the lounge until after 3:30 when my room was finally ready.

Housekeeping not attentive. We had to repeatedly ask for towels and water which should be basic. Love this area but the service especially check in needs to be improved

Dear Mr. Jeff, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely regret that your check-in experience did not meet your expectations, especially given your loyalty as a frequent guest. We fully understand the frustration of having to provide your information multiple times, and we will take immediate action to streamline this process and ensure greater efficiency for all our guests. Regarding your early check-in request, we apologize for the inconvenience you encountered with the additional charge and the delay in room availability. Please rest assured that we will review our early check-in policy to ensure it is being applied fairly and consistently. We also regret that the housekeeping service did not meet the standard we strive for. Your comments about the towels and water requests have been noted, and we will work closely with the team to improve responsiveness and ensure these basic needs are always met without delay. We truly value your continued trust in us and hope to provide you with a smoother and more enjoyable experience during your next stay. From the moment you arrive you perceive an elegant and relaxed atmosphere. The employees, from the door, reception, bar at reception, excellent room, spacious and neat. Giant bed, firm mattress and soft pillows to sleep peacefully. Giant patio, comfortable pool with gazebo to cool off or drink some liquor. Visit it, you won't regret it.

Absolutely loved this place. Top notch and first class all the way. On par with any resort hotel I stayed at in Las Vegas, with the exception of the casino. The casino is very small and doesn't open till 4 pm.

I could not get an early check-in so we waited in the ample and luxurious lobby, while drinking our Presidente beer.

Our room was amazing. We had a nice view of the city resident buildings. We had a huge hot tub in the middle of the room, which separated the sleeping area and the rest of the bathroom. The tub also had an electric privacy screen.

Bottled water was available for the rooms. Housekeeping was very attentive and we exchanged towels when we needed to.

Hotel is not cheap, but is a first-class accommodation and has made for a very memorable stay.

There is a large supermarket located 2 blocks from the hotel, where we were able to purchase all the items we needed like: bottled water, rum, ponche, coffee, and any other grocery items we needed. There is a McDonald's 2 blocks the other way to purchase breakfast and coffee. Not much other shopping within walking distance.

Breakfast was NOT included but was available for $15 per person. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but we did make coffee in the room.

If you are seeking great Dominican food, check out the Adrian Tropical restaurants. My favorite one was on the Malecon.

Plenty of parking if you have a car. We Ubered everywhere.

The pool was large, really nice and in a beautiful setting. There is an outdoor bar and there was live music outside one of the nights.

We had a great 6-night stay and if I'm ever in SD again, that's where I will be staying. Highly recommended!

I stayed for a wedding and will definitely return. The hotel accommodations, pool, spa and service were excellent! I have to mention Reynaldo, the manager from Los Porches restaurant who was attentive and made sure that my Gluten free meal was safe, fresh and delicious! He was very thoughtful and helpful, from the bread to dessert, it was all well prepared. The front desk attendant Sharina was also extremely helpful answering the many questions I had and making sure that all my requests were fulfilled. It was a very good stay.

Everything was perfect, it was a really pleasant experience in every sense, the breakfast included very rich, everything fresh, the attention of all the Staff was really very nice, the attention of the bartender the cotorras much superior. We stayed 4 nights and whenever we went out and requested toilet we found the room spotless. The rooms are absolutely comfortable, the soft beds and the pillows super comfortable, they are soundproof and the TV with simple connection, the excellent lighting, the big and nice bathroom, the very complete toiletries, in short the best option on holy Sunday.

I want to highlight the attention of staff, it could not be better...

My stay at Hotel Ambassador was simply exceptional. From the moment of check-in at the Ambassador flat, where we enjoyed an exclusive all-inclusive lounge, every detail was taken care of perfectly. Attentions were impeccable and the room, a real sanctuary of comfort. The pillows wrap you in a heavenly softness, as if you were sleeping on the clouds.

Breakfast, hearty and delicious, arrived at the table at its perfect point, with each bite full of flavor and warmth. In addition, the location offers an excellent variety of restaurants in the surrounding area, ideal for exploring and complementing the experience.

Definitely an unforgettable stay that I would repeat without hesitation.
