The resort is great and the room is very clean and nice . The entertainment every night is amazing chocolate makes it better. He is the best entertainer there would recommend. The pools are so amazing and so is the food. The Micheal Jackson show was very entertaining and so was the circus show in the night.
Great place to stay solo or with family, excellent staff and really good breakfast at cafe casabe also the cleanliness and COVID protocols make you feel comfortable. The location is great specially if not renting a car, plenty of close by night activities.
To begin with, this Sheraton is one of the few that actually has their Concierge Lounge open! The guy who manages the breakfast is a stellar example of gracious service, very attentive and friendly! The rooms are clean and well appointed. The restaurant and bar are very good, and even with limited menus, has an ample and diverse offering. WiFi is very good and I have zero complaints!
The customer service is really great here, Joseiminy made us feel welcome right away. The gentlemen in the club lounge were spectacular. Prenda was also very good. Great stay. Only one night there was a very loud party outside. Please consider better sound proofing we wee in room 1123
The people, food, pool ,and location are all very good. I had problems with AC in my room and it was fixed right away. The spa and fitness is very good as well. We stayed for 8 days and were very happy
First, I have to say my very first impression was a little bit bad but after following up with the right people in the hotel I was able to solve everything and clarify. It is my first time in a Sheraton but I practically live in a hotel room during the whole year and I just have to say, nice people needs to be recognize. Diana Tosato: I will remember this person name for the rest of my life, it is the only person I've met with the skill of unconsciously slow down everything and turn it into an opportunity, I'm sure this person's value is way higher than is being compensated for. I appreciate everything this person did in order to provide an extraordinary experience at the hotel and YES, I'll reserve back at some point whenever I'm back. Joseimy Jose: Very understandable person, somebody that is giving more than 100% in order to provide You a really good service, open to everything You say and educated enough to escalate and follow up whatever is out of Her hands making it an above and beyond service. Gary Noel: excellent service and dedication any concern or question was perfectly answered, there is nothing like the knowledge about the service You provide, people look at You like a pro indeed. I have no tested any food but I've heard really good comments about it, so, I'm trying today. TIPS: They serve moderate quality long island in the poolside bar, You can try it. Mobile key is better the whole time so You don't worry about forgetting Your key. Elevator is really good in terms of safety and it is quicker than majority of hotels. The three bottles of water just to the side of the TV are gifts for You. If You're too high (195 above (6'5 above)) shower will be kind of uncomfortable since ceiling is kind of low. Try to get ocean view. Gym is never overpopulated, something I liked. Be aware every time You walk in with somebody base on hotel experience or safety purposes, You'll be asked for that person ID and sign and write down room service since it will be Your responsibility, this is a good option for some people, it can be bad for some other people and probably don't like it. I personally don't think this premise policy should be executed, guests should be checked for the quantity of people room is reserved, if is for 2 then guest can be with somebody else not ID requirement because I think that's a violation to privacy but I also can say this is implemented base on some bad past experience in the hotel, I also believe something else could be implemented.…
This hotel has a beautiful view of the ocean. The service was awesome. I’d highly suggest spending the extra money to enjoy the club which serves a great breakfast, dinner, and alcoholic drinks. I would visit again.
This place has seen better days, there is a worn down feeling. However, the staff seems to be trying hard. Good breakfast. Gym is quite decent. Located on the coast, so great for a jog. Not in the downtown, but ok to drive out of town. My room window did not close properly, so they made an effort to change the room and were quite attentive. Sheraton Club is not worth it.
Having stayed at most of the four and five star hotels in Santo Domingo over the past two decades, the Sheraton Santo Domingo is my favorite. Nearby hotels have some rooms with ocean views, but the Sheraton's have more of such rooms. Using upgrades, one can savor a panoramic view from a balcony - a reasonably priced consideration. Nearby there are some very good restaurants providing fresh, savory food at good value. The Sheraton hotel employees seem to have a sincere desire to provide a good guest experience. Numerous employees could be commended - Felix, Laudy, Astarte, and Mr. Quailey at the front desk area, Silvestre in security, Sandra, Nelson, Argenys, at the executive lounge. The breakfast buffet is varied, fresh, quality and service is accommodating. Sure the hotel has aspects that are dated, but the beds are excellent, housekeeping like Ana very helpful. The atmosphere is tasteful and the music at the pool is kept pleasant and not too loud. Another strong point - the room rates are reasonable and a good value. There's lots to enjoy at the Sheraton and Santo Dominigo. Kudos to the staff. (Knowing how Marriott bean counters watch costs, I don't understand why the most of the breakfast preserves are imported from Europe - can't be that good for the environment and certainly there are quality preserves and jellies available closer by.…
We stayed here for 3 nights and were not impressed. The check in took longer than usual and the only information relayed to us at that time was when breakfast closes (at 11 AM). We had to ask for the location and hours of the pool and the gym. The room was clean and had a cute surprise (balloons and stuffed animals) for the kids. There was no concierge, but when we needed help with reservations at a restaurant, someone helped us via a conference call. The pool was a huge disappointment. It was cloudy green and there were chicken bones lying around. We had looked forward to swimming, but did not use the pool. Breakfast was good - nice selection and something for everyone. We appreciated the strict adherence to their masking policy and asking guests to wear gloves for the buffet. Rooms and windows are definitely not sound proof. At 6.50 AM on a Sunday and 7.30 AM on Monday we were woken up by someone's extremely loud radio outside the hotel.…
