I highly recommend this hotel. The staff was efficient as early as making the reservations. I got service to match when I arrived and it seemed like my entire stay was personalized and tailored for me. Everything was amazing.
Stay was very good! Staff are very friendly, customer service is great too.. Location is also smack in the city so that's great if you want to get out.. But once you're inside the hotel you don't remember our hear all the bustle of city life.. Only thing I did not like was the wifi connection.. That sucked
My ROOM was not cleaned due to Covid 19 enforcement AND a lack of adequate protocol procedure. What was delivered was way below what I have grown to expect from Fort Young Hotel. There was a break down in common communication.
I spent 7 days/night at this hotel this past week. We had to have a negative PCR test within 72 hours of arriving. Wwe then had to take a rapid results test at the airport. We then had to take another PCR test on day five, which for us meant we were NEVER allowed to leave the hotel AND we didn’t get the results back so it was a total waste of time and money! We were the ONLY people staying at the hotel yet the service was typical island SLOW SLOW SLOW! Each meal had issues from over cooked eggs to under toasted toast. The big issues which was never fixed was the air conditioning. The compressor for all our rooms tripped the breaker all week, usually in the night leaving us in hot rooms with no relief. Even though we brought it to the attention of the management multiple times during our stay they failed to fix the issue. We were able to leave the hotel a few times with a taxi guide. Clem was super friendly and very knowledgeable of all things Dominica. His daily adventures gave us some relief from the hotel and its problems. The diving was amazing! Some of the best and healthy coral I have dove in the past 10 years. Excellent walls that go down into the abyss. We also enjoyed spearing 30+ Lion fish daily which the hotel made for us nightly for a fee. All in all considering how difficult it is to go any when in these times we were satisfied with the trip, the diving and the rugged beauty of the island country.…
