UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT The owner of Narakiel's Inn, Lynne, wishes to inform guests that we are now under new local management. To me the comfort of our guests is paramount and so I was saddened to read the recent bad reviews listed here related to the level of service offered as my goal is to provide guests with the highest level of customer care. However, since I primarily run the Inn remotely, unfortunately I mostly cannot be there in person to do so. Therefore, I have parted ways with our former manager Richard and we now have a new Local Representative, who I believe is better aligned with providing the level of service that our guests deserve. Our new local representative is warm, professional and eager to offer guests the same level of customer care and service that I would provide if I was there in person. We greatly appreciate the thoughtful feedback provided here and we will continue to institute changes to ensure that they are all addressed.

We booked this online without any review information. It turned out to be a good option for us. Walking back to the hotel at night we got to know a few of the locals. Positives: room had almost everything we needed, including a cell phone! bed was large and comfortable, place was secure, A/C worked well, the bathroom worked well, the hotel also has a balcony with a view of the river and town centre; one look would tell whether a cruise ship was in town. Negatives: the room safe was broken; the hotel's credit card machine was broken so we had to get cash from the bank; the room was too small for 2 people.

The local manager is now a delightful person. Keren was a fountain of local knowledge, and very helpful. This Inn is within walking distance of several restaurants, shops, the Dominica museum, pick-up points for many tours, the Botanic Garden and so on. The room was very compact, but I was traveling solo and didn't mind. It was clean and equipped witn the basics. Tap water was in the fridge--I would gladly have paid for a bottle. A/C worked well, but the safe did not. Taxi transfers to/from the airport were helpfully arranged. You cannot beat the price for this accommodation!

We stayed for three nights at Narakiel’s Inn. It’s walking distance from the ferry to/from Guadeloupe. We had nice little room furnished and decorated with love. Great thanks to Keren Eugene who was helpful in any possible way and always available when we needed her. Thank you again for helping us to find a car! The room is a bit on the small side with an ensuite bathroom, air conditioner ( a bit weak) and a fan. There’s a fridge and a coffee machine. The hotel has a small balcony to be shared with other but we always had it to ourselves. Parking was easy, right in front of the house. Roseau centre is just a few steps away and easy to visit.

My stay at Narakiel's Inn was pleasant. The space was small but had everything you needed. Hot water for a shower, a microwave, a mini fridge. Cutlery, and dishware. The place is clean, the staff friendly and welcoming. The location was very central, minutes to Roseau and also for local transportation to other villages. They Manager (Keren) even arranged transportation from Melville Hall Airport (Marigot) to Roseau for me, Which was a bonus. As I was travelling solo. I felt safe at the location. Keren was only a phone call away if I needed assistanve with anything. I would definitely recommend this accommodation. My unit was small because I was solo. They do have larger units if you want a kitchenette or want a larger space. For me it meet my needs. I enjoyed my stay at Narakiels Inn, and Dominica is absolutely beautiful. J.Henry

Narakiel’s is a small inn with a few rooms. You walk up stairs to get to it. The upside of being higher up is that it has a pleasant balcony with chairs, with a nice view of the town and surrounding hills. It’s a good spot from which to get photos of central Roseau. The inn is very conveniently located. It’s on the side of a river and you cross the bridge to get into the central past of Roseau, so anything you want to visit in the center is within walking distance. I had a rental car and the inn is just far enough from the very center that parking was not a problem. I stayed in Room 4. It has a queen bed, small desk with chair, fridge, in-room safe, coffee-making facilities, microwave, luggage rack, full-length mirror, AC, fan and, very conveniently, a power board into which you can plug US power plugs. In the bathroom, there is a shower (no bath) and makeup mirror. The water pressure in the shower is bad and the water not very warm, but good enough to have a shower. The inn is not staffed 24/7, so you need to give advance notice of approximately when you’re going to arrive the first day. One word of warning: I caught a moth in my room. I don’t know what type of moth it is. Having had a clothes moth infestation years ago, I am paranoid about moths, so kept my bags closed as much as possible while in my room and took steps with my clothes and bag when I arrived home to minimize the risk of introducing any little visitors to my apartment.
