Absolutely adorable accommodation, clean and spacious. Views are astounding. Good choice of size of apartment. Close to town - you could take a leisurely stroll to town as it is all downhill but catch a local bus back. Close to lots of amenities

I would have stayed there forever if I could. I had the two bedroom. The view is amazing; you could even see where we were diving from the cottage. I love outdoor showers; this cottage does not have one but the bathroom has a window with a screen, looks over the ocean and it opens, so it was just like the best of both worlds - no mosquitoes but a view of the ocean not to be beat. The flowers everywhere drew many hummingbirds, the porch was the perfect place to string a hammock and just watch the birds and the ocean. It was so convenient to have a kitchen. They had the best soap there - a spice scent made by a Dominican company called coal pot soaps which was wonderful. And the owner has got to be the nicest person you have ever met. All in all, a wonderful place. Be aware though, that it is up a very steep hill, so if you planned on walking down to the dive shop in the morning and then back up, you might prefer a cab on the return trip. It is a bit far. Two miles each way. It is actually in a lovely place called Morne Bruce.

I stayed a Itassi Cottages with a group of friends from 26th July - 4th August 2014. The people were very friendly and hospitable. We visited various hot springs, the amerald pool, the botanical gardens, a few beaches and last but not least the town is small but beautiful. This vacation was well spent.

A family of four, we rented the 2-bedroom cottage and really enjoyed our too short stay there. Roseau is a very convenient place to stay at when visiting South Dominica and itassi is very conveniently situated in Roseau (better to have a car though). Our daughters really enjoyed the quaint rooms and visits from salamanders, the verandah is absolutely beautiful... Do not go there if you want something modern! The view on Roseau and Southern Dominica is stunning, colours changing as the day moves on. And Mrs Itassi the hostess is as charming as the place!

I stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage with friends during a hiking holiday in Dominica. The property has excellent views of the capital Roseau, docked cruise ships and the mountains. The highlight of the 2-bedroom cottage is the large verandah which is the perfect spot to enjoy your breakfast. It does get a bit hot in the afternoons but cools off once the sun sets. The sunset views are spectacular. The main bedroom is roomy with a large bed and small ensuite bathroom (no door or curtain separating the 2). The second bedroom has 2 beds and there is a convertible sofa-bed in the living room. There is a large second bathroom. Soaps were provided on arrival. We did little cooking but the kitchen contained the essentials we needed - microwave, electric kettle, fridge, plates, cutlery, etc. There is also a toaster and stove, which we did not use. There is no air conditioning, but standing fans were provided in each bedroom. I used this only in the afternoon as the nights were quite cool and there are large windows throughout. There is cable TV in the living room but the selection of channels was limited. WiFi was fast and reliable. Remember to turn on the electric water heater at least 20 minutes before you're ready for a hot shower. Valuables can be stored at the Sutton Place Hotel downtown, which is owned by the same family that owns Itassi. The owners live on-site and are incredibly friendly and accommodating. The gardens surrounding the property are filled with tropical flowers and fruit trees. We were lucky enough to be staying during grapefruit season. The owners provided a bowl full of grapefruit on arrival and more during our stay. I would recommend renting a car, as the hill leading from Roseau to Itassi is quite steep and winding. A car is also a essential to travel to popular hiking sites. There is plenty of parking space at Itassi. When staying at Itassi take a stroll up the Morne Bruce hill to a wonderful lookout point with views of the capital city and cricket ground below, and the mountains and Scotts Head peninsula to the south. There is a convenience store and gas station about 2 minutes drive away. TAO restaurant (also 2 minutes drive away) is a wonderful experience. They serve Peruvian, Italian, sushi and international dishes. Overall Itassi is excellent value for money, especially when splitting the cost with a group. The accommodation is clean and covers the basics. All that we needed for a great stay.
