Detailed Reviews
Positive and negatives: For my purpose it was okay, staff is friendly. location was very convenient, the room size (with king-size bed) was okay, tiled and looked new, it has a convenient paid parking and one could roll luggage easily from parking to the rooms. My room had a tiny balcony with a view of the "construction happening" and beach right behind. My floor had a security door but other floors did not work, because my college was on a higher floor and there the security door did not lock.
The reception is closed after 10PM, so if you lock yourself out, I think you are sleeping outside, because there is no one to accommodate you. There was a security guard on watch every night and felt safe though.
It had a full size refrigerator, sink, microwave, water kettle and coffee machine, but no stove, mismatched plates and only one glass to drink out of. House keeping would not wash the dishes, which I am not used to compared to the Renaissance resort. The packets of powder milk provided were rock solid and old. They never refilled the sugar, tea or coffee.
(Sorry too many )Negatives:(very stingy upkeep) Watch out for the bed, linen and pillows, not best kept clean. The pillows were yellow, sweet stained and had black moldy spots and reeked. Even the new ones they brought were stained. They did not have the protection cover, nor did the matrass. I had a very worn matrass with rolled cotton fibers which felt like marbles, complaint about it and nothing was done, so I had to cut them off the matrass myself and all they did is put an extra sheet. The duvet and cover reeked of sweet and they did not change it so I took it off the bed and brought it for them to smell it and change it! They do not change the sheets, because i noticed the same stain on it for a week. i even woke up with three big red itchy welts on my back one morning, complaint about it...Oh I was the first and told that the linens are steamed, which is a big lie!
The bathroom: the shower curtain had hair colorant stains and a few tares/holes, the drain cap would pop up during showering and I'd kick my toe against it. The sink is so narrow one can barely put ones toiletries on there. There are no wash cloths or smaller hand towels and when they do not change the towels on a regular basis. I always had to ask for a spare towel and they did not put the same number of towels back.
The main door to the room would not open properly and has no peephole. The door to the bathroom does not open until I kind of have to kick it in. The drawers of the linen closet do not open because the door prevents them from sliding out.
Housekeeping was not very thorough and sometimes I would still have the same sandy shower floor when I came from the beach.
If the upkeep was a bit better I would recommend this hotel. My colleague on the fifth floor did not have hot water so she can down to my room for a warm shower.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very attentive to our needs and were very happy to assist us with whatever we needed. We had a large king size bed. The bathroom is rather small with little to no counter space. The water was mostly hot, but we did have a few days where we had to wait a bit for the water to warm up. We had a little trouble with obtaining a hand towel during our stay. After 3 days of having none, my husband asked at the front desk and they provided us with one. We also had only one very tiny bar of soap provided to us during our 7 night stay. We thought this was a little strange. They also did not provide a towel in the kitchen area for us to do our dishes. We arrived prior to the 3 pm check-in and were so happy that they had our room ready within 20 minutes of our arrival! We are from the United States and did not know we needed converters and they were able to provide what we needed for our stay. We were here during the island's carnival, and the staff was very helpful in assisting us with making arrangements to see the parades, securing transportation, etc. The staff also allowed us to make local phone calls. The hotel was close to many restaurants, shopping, the famous Swing Bridge and other must see sites on the island. We thought the room to be very modern and the bed and pillows were comfortable. We had a very comfortable stay and were very happy to have chosen this hotel for our stay here. We thought the price to be very reasonable, too.

The hotel is very clean and central. Everybody is super nice - Isabel at the reception, the housekeeping ladies and also the security boys :)
Every day the housekeeping was there to clean the room and The bus station is just a few minutes away and you can go explore the whole island. You can find a lot of bars and restaurants, which you can go to by feet.
Directly across the street you can find a beautiful beach, which isn’t so busy and nice to chill.
We loved our stay

I chose this hotel since the hotel states it caters to business travelers. As a person who travels extensively and scout locations, I generally do not leave reviews since I prefer to stay neutral but I could not let this one go. The first two days were fine during my planned week stay. My second night I received a note from hotel staff I was being charged a daily room rate for a stain on a pillow. After that I placed a towel on my pillows to prevent further charges and took pictures of everything. But what really got me was the wifi. First two days all was fine, the third day the wifi was not working. I went to reception and the woman stated she would have someone check as their wifi was fine. I used my hot spot to continue working. The second day wifi was still not working, I am still using my hotspot. I went to reception and stated again my wifi is not working. The reception stated it was strange as someone checked and all was well. I couldn't take a chance and wanted to check out. Reception could not refund me the balance as she stated I was charged a non refundable rate. She offered to give me a different room. I at first decided to try a different room but then another guest came in and said her wifi was not working as well. I told reception I changed my mind and could not take the chance of wifi not working. Beware of this hotel, they not only lie that they cater to business but will take your money and not refund you for instances that are their fault. I will not be staying here again or recommending this hotel.

+1
Pros:
Location-best in town. Out the door to the left is the Tourist Board. Grab a map and talk to an agent for lots of info.
Walk a little further and take a left to the floating market. Fresh fish, fruit and veggies.
Front door to the right is Wilhelmina Square - Curacao sign, Plein cafe for gluten free options.
Out the side door and turn right to MacDonalds.
Walk behind it to the waterfront (Iguana Cafe where you can watch the boats pass thru the Queen Emma Bridge)
Small sheltered beach across the street.
You can see the cruise ships coming in and also fireworks on Friday night.
There is a RBC atm by the side entrance.
Staff is helpful.
Cons:
Coffee pot wasn’t working well. The maid service wasn’t the best. Didn’t restock coffee, toilet tissue and the floor wasn’t swept (gritty from sand)
We tipped $15US
The pillows were very firm. No facecloth
Good to know:
Supermarket close.
Bus terminal across the plaza. A cheap way to see the island. Cost is $1US plus .25 guilders
Bring a converter and adapter
No need to prebook a ride from the airport. The taxi stand is outside to the left.
Ask for ice at the front desk.
4th floor is level 3
Island tour was fun and very informative.
Across the Queen Emma bridge and left along the promenade takes you to Rif Fort (shopping and restaurants) as well as the cruise terminal.
City Suites is a great value for the money.
I definitely recommend staying here.

Walking through town we stopped to ask directions to a public restroom. The front desk staff immediately offered their locked employee restroom, which was very hospitable! The restrooms were immaculate and very much appreciated. Thank you!

This Hotel does not have a pool, but, directly across the way is the ocean. The Staff is absolutely AMAZING, helping out anyway possible to make sure your stay is satisfactory. Great, comfortable beds. Location--near many attractions, easy to walk to with shopping and dining all around. Parking garage access if you rent a car. Would definitely stay here again. OH, USA travelers.... bring 2-3 power converters as you need several to convert 220V to 110V for charging phones, watches, fans, etc... PROS: Location, Excellent Staff, Great spacious rooms
CONS: No Swimming Pool

Nice clean room, enormous comfortable bed centrally located with lots of nice restaurants a short walk away. Helpful friendly staff. I will stay here again.
Sushi restaurant on the ground floor is not part of the hotel and should be avoided.

The rooms are clean, but the duvet covers...not so much. The towels were replaced daily, but there were no washcloths so had to purchase a loofah. There was a kettle and a coffee maker in the kitchen, but could not find an outlet to plug them in so would have had to take the appliances to the bedside tables to use. The parking fob is not explained at all so they charged for an additional day as maintenance had to come out, twice, to let us out before it was properly explained.

MY mother and I stayed for one week at City Suites and had a lovely time.
Everything was “good enough” but definitely no frills and nothing impressive. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, though.
We felt safe enough, the room was clean enough, the AC worked well enough, the TV worked (English and Spanish channels), the water was warm but not hot.
If you’re coming from the US, bring a power converter. The hotel provided us one, which was very nice.
The beach across the street is nothing to write home about, but we would drink our coffee there in the morning.
The location of the hotel to the city was perfect. You’re just a few minute walk from lots of shops and restaurants and the bus hub is very close as well.
If we came back, we would probably go somewhere else, but if this is in your price range, this hotel was good enough for two vacationers!

Is this near the Queen Wilhemina park and is it close to the Punda Vibes Thursday night celebration?
It is verry close to punda like a 10 minute walk to the bridge and that will bring you across the water to punda
