This is basically what folks outside of the U.S. would call "Serviced Apartments". We got a bit lucky and upgraded to the best Sea-view 2 bedroom suite available. The living room kitchen is large. Total unit size estimated at about 800 to 900 sqft. Tall ceilings. If you are looking for a full service hotel, this isn't it. But I did ask for extra housekeeping for a fee, and they are happy to provide. This property is right beside Sunscape resort on Mambo Beach. Close to all the restaurants in this popular area. While visiting Curacao for 10 nights, we stayed at Santa barbara resort and also Renaissance downtown. This unit was a welcome change, and Mambo beach was definitely nicer water destination than the other two. Make a stop at the Van den tweel supermarket (2 miles away) to pick everything you need to stock the fridge with snacks or meals. We enjoyed eating at Nemo and Cabana. Also ordered pizza and tacos from the beachside restaurants The bedrooms have airconditioning units, but not the main areas. Though this is still adequately comfortable despite the heat outside. We had a 21 month old infant with us.

Everything was quite new. Our balconies were out of this world, the rooms are up to date. The TVs worked great, everything you need is there, and if it is not, they will get it for you. There is no toaster, which I found odd, but they gave us one right away when we asked, as well as a hair dryer, extra cooking pans, a clothes drying rack, etc. It is right at the end of the beach, so everything is very close. Even though they don't have a restaurant, there are many close by. Tip: the restaurants on the beach are very expensive, but there is a mall not far on the beach with restaurants upstairs that are very reasonably priced. The Argentian Steak House and the Mexican restaurant are great, as is the Italian place. We did buy groceries as well and ate meals in house. The pool is perfect, with plenty of chairs. We spent a lot of time there. At night sometimes, there was music, but our suite on the ground floor was not impacted by it much. We were treated to two nights of fire works as well. If you want quiet, it is great, but if you want the night life, that is so close that you can have that too. There is a washer and dryer on site, and they work great so you don't need to bring much clothing. We went diving with Ocean Encounters and it was within 10 minutes walking.

Good location - carded access to beach About ten minutes to Pietermaai district Excellent service Secure parking Very well maintained property Clean Definitely NOT a hotel One bath towel, one hand towel and no face cloth per person which are changed every second day. Beach towel exchange available from 8-6pm No in room laundry One dishwasher pod provided. No dish soap. No amenities except liquid hand soap in bathrooms No hair dryer Two cups of coffee are provided. Pods are available for purchase in office or at Carrefour store. Air conditioning is in bedrooms only. Plug in fan available. Living area and kitchen get very warm - mosquitoes at dusk so we didn’t open patio doors Balcony is covered but gets very warm in afternoon. Comfortable seating for three persons in chairs/footrests....dining table seats 6 persons outside. Kitchen adequately equipped with full size fridge, cooktop, oven, dishwasher Must pay a beach access fee of two dollars per person per day even if you just want to go to restaurants. Must carry the per person ticket with you. Numerous restaurants available.....very good food Nice sandy beach where it is difficult to use unless you pay for chairs/loungers Toilet paper was provided Wednesday nights the beach music plays to 2am. Very loud. Drying rack for your clothes Cleaning is after 4the night and linen change/full cleaning after the 8th. Pool is very clean as are washrooms and shower room. Comfy loungers surround pool. Pool is not huge but adequate with very nice water temperature Fairly quiet location except for beach party night(s) Safe in apartment Spacious apartment with one king bed and two singles

We stayed in the newly renovated poolview studio. The apt was clean, modern and absolutely beautiful. It was fully equipped with all the essentials. The location of this hotel is fantastic!! It's beach front, and within walking distance to many restaurants and bars! It also has secured parking and very friendly and accomodating staff. The area is also very secure. The only cons are the mandatory beach fee of $2us per person, per day, if you rent a car like we did and was out most of the days. There should be a way to pay only for your redeemed tickets as it can really add up depending on the length of your stay and # of persons. In addition, staff was only available between 8am-6pm. We usually came back at evening/night and left before 8am to go exploring, so getting things like fresh beach towels, coffee pods or anything else was a bit challenging. Regardless, I will definitely stay here again just for the location!
